[Full] The Villain Found Out This is a Novel (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 34
After putting Kian to sleep, I returned to my room, but I couldn’t fall asleep at all. Just thinking about the weight of guilt that little child must be carrying made my heart ache, and tears poured down my face.
While I was sobbing uncontrollably, Sikar entered, clad in his nightclothes, his face weary.
“Stop crying. Vika says she can’t sleep at all because of you.”
“Then just put soundproofing magic on my room too. Hweeeng….”
“Why on earth are you crying so much?”
“It’s because little Kian is just too pitiful. Sniff.”
“Is that really worth all these tears?”
“W-worth?! How much pain must that child have felt for it to manifest physically like that? He’s truly heartless and tearless….”
Ah, yes—he really is a heartless, tearless wretch, isn’t he?
“You really cry far too easily for no good reason.”
“This isn’t useless crying… it’s just… what are you doing…?”
Sikar’s expression looked strange as he walked steadily toward me, so I instinctively stepped backward to avoid him.
His cheeks were slightly flushed—a rare, shy look that didn’t suit him at all.
Just as I wondered why he was approaching me with such an expression, Sikar abruptly buried my face against his chest.
In other words, he embraced me. Then he patted my back gently.
Of course, his motions were mechanical, but still—he was doing something he’d never done before.
So startled was I that my tears instantly dried up.
“W-what are you doing?”
“Every time the children cry, you hug them like this, and they immediately stop. So I tried it myself. It seems quite effective.”
Sikar set me aside, smoothed his disheveled clothes, and stood up.
“If you cry again, I’ll do this again. It’s a simple and convenient method.”
‘So he’s applying the way I comfort children like this?’
That thought sent chills down my spine.
As far as I remembered, after calming the children and getting them to stop crying, I always kissed them gently on the forehead.
‘He wouldn’t dare kiss me on the forehead… would he?’
Just in case, I covered my forehead with my hand.
Fortunately, Sikar stood up as if he’d finished his duty, and I lowered my hand with a sigh of relief.
‘Right. He doesn’t copy everything. His goal isn’t to comfort me—he just wants me to stop crying.’
However, just as Sikar turned to leave, he came back again.
“Oh, right. I forgot one thing.”
My heart suddenly plummeted with a thud.
Just as the dreadful thought crossed my mind, he pressed his lips to my forehead with an impassive expression.
“The finishing touch is a kiss on the forehead, I see. That’s what stops children from crying again, apparently.”
Then, as if nothing had happened, he stood up.
“Consider it an honor. Even Happy has never received a kiss from me. Though, of course, Happy never cried like you do. Now I’ll go. Sleep well.”
Since Sikar looked as light-hearted as someone who’d just solved a problem, I grabbed his arm before he could leave.
“Wait a moment.”
“What?”
“Are you… all right after your injury earlier…?”
Sikar wiggled his fingers near my cheek as if trying to pinch it, so I said in exasperation,
“What are you doing…?”
“From your memories, I recall that humans in your world pinch cheeks when they find someone cute. Since you’re still worrying about me even now, I’m showing you some affection too.”
“Let go of that.”
Sikar let out a soft chuckle and shrugged as if to say he was perfectly fine.
“Don’t worry. A wound like this is nothing. More importantly, I won’t let anything like this make you cry again. Now go to sleep.”
Without even glancing back, Sikar waved and left the room.
How many times must I say it—I cried from shock, not worry!
Though… the more I heard him say that, the more I began to wonder whether I’d really cried from shock… or because I was worried about Sikar.
A few days later, after much of the snow had melted, Raydocs came to the ducal manor.
Durion immediately asked whether he should go cut Raydocs’ throat for showing up at the manor again, but Sikar ordered him not to kill him—just bring him in.

Muttering to myself, “Since His Grace said not to kill him, I suppose I should drag him around just enough to keep him alive,” I followed Durion out and called him back.
“My lady, what is it?”
“I have a request for you, Lord Durion.”
“Anything you ask, my lady. What would you like me to do?”
“Please treat the Marquis with proper courtesy.”
“I am already being quite courteous these days, my lady.”
Huh? Does he think not killing him counts as courtesy? Now I see—he thinks just like Sikar.
“Lord Durion, please don’t drag the Marquis here like last time. Treat him with the same respect you show me.”
Durion stared at me incredulously, as if asking how that could possibly be done. Given how badly they hated each other—like sworn enemies—it was a perfectly normal reaction.
But from now on, they’d be on the same side, so I couldn’t just let things continue as before.
“The Marquis will be a great help to us. In particular, he’s going to become our young master’s tutor.”
“That butter-like fool is going to be our young master’s tutor?!”
Durion often called Raydocs “that butter-like fool” because of his gentle, docile nature. Now, with a stubborn expression I’d never seen before, he protested,
“If that butter-like fool becomes tutor to our noble young master, our young master might turn into a butter-like person too! That’s why I’m against it.”
“His Grace has already made his decision, Durion.”
Durion looked at me as if to confirm whether this was truly the case, and I nodded firmly.
“I thought it strange that Raydocs has been visiting his house so often lately, but now he’s even to become the young master’s tutor? Why would His Grace do such a thing?”
“Lord Durion, do you remember why His Grace allied himself with His Majesty the King?”
“To capture the insane former king, of course…”
“His Grace is reaching out to the Marquis for the same reason—to oppose the current king, he needs the Marquis as an ally.”
Durion’s mouth fell open in surprise, then he asked with a suddenly blank expression,
“But why the sudden change of heart?”
“Because His Majesty intends to kill the only person who can lift His Grace’s curse.”
“Then… does that mean allying with Raydocs will allow His Grace to break the curse?”
“Yes. That’s the only way. If you can’t believe my words, ask His Grace yourself later. Feel free to tell him I said this.”
Durion didn’t know Sikar could see people’s memories, but he did know no one could deceive Sikar—because he’d been caught lying to him many times himself.
Therefore, Durion would never suspect I was making things up. Besides, Sikar reviewed my memories every night, so he’d find out about this himself tonight anyway.
Durion bowed deeply toward me with perfect form and said,
“How could I possibly doubt you, my lady? I shall treat Raydocs with the courtesy you instructed.”
“Thank you, Durion. Please bring the Marquis here properly—not by dragging him like before.”
“You have my word.”
Durion strode off with determination.
The moment I stepped back into the living room, Sikar asked what took me so long talking to Durion and grabbed my hand.
“So you’ve already told Durion everything I was planning to tell him soon. Not bad. But you expected too much from him.”
“Huh?”
“Durion doesn’t understand what courtesy is. In many ways, he’s just like Vika. Doesn’t it give you a hint that I never bring him to the palace? It should be mentioned in the novels too—Durion knows nothing of manners.”
“But… he always seems quite polite with me?”
“That’s not courtesy. It’s just natural behavior stemming from affection.”
“Then why did he just promise to be courteous if he doesn’t even understand it?”
“Well, I’ve never seen Durion actually be courteous, so I’m curious to see what he’ll do.”
‘Please, just don’t drag Raydocs in here like last time.’
A short while later, Durion appeared with Raydocs.
Fortunately, he wasn’t dragging Raydocs this time—though he was nudging him forward with the sheath of his sword. Sikar glanced at me as if to say, “See?”
“You might as well give up too.”
Only then did I understand: Sikar had tried teaching Durion manners and given up, which was why I’d never once seen Durion act courteously.
Seriously, what kind of villains are these?!
The one fortunate thing was that Raydocs, as usual, didn’t seem to mind Durion’s rude behavior at all.
Fearing Vika might overhear, we moved to the reception room with Raydocs. Not long ago, Germy had said he’d installed soundproofing magic in every room except my bedroom, the living room, and the kitchen.
“I never expected we’d meet so often, but here I am at Your Grace’s manor again.”
“Indeed. You came on your own today, uninvited. Sit down.”

Raydocs sat calmly and spoke.
“I heard about the orphanage director. They say Your Grace handed that wretched man over to the capital guard. It was such unexpected news I couldn’t believe it—since the Duke I know has never cared about others’ affairs.”
“Strictly speaking, it wasn’t my doing. It was Kian’s.”
“Kian… you mean His Highness the Royal Grandson?”
“Yes. But what brings you here today? Unless it’s about your promise to teach Kian the crown prince’s lessons, I have no reason to see you.”
“That’s precisely why I came.”
Sikar, who had been lounging on the sofa, leaned forward with interest.
“Are you finally going to give our Kian lessons fit for a crown prince?”
Finally made your decision, haven’t you? Kian’s going to be your future son-in-law! You should start teaching him as soon as possible.
“I haven’t fully decided yet, but I wanted to ask the Duchess. Her Grace told me to bring His Highness into my home to stop Lucy from running away. What does that mean exactly? What does His Highness coming to my house have to do with my Lucy?”
I nodded toward Sikar, signaling I’d answer.
“Because every time Lucy runs away, Kian will follow her and bring her back.”
“But that doesn’t actually stop her from running away—it just means someone brings her back.”
“When Lucy learns that His Grace isn’t Kian’s real father, she’ll feel sympathy for him, and that will make her stop running away.”
Raydocs nodded, seemingly convinced by my reasoning.
“Lucy is indeed soft-hearted like that. She can’t even bear to see baby birds left alone in the nest without their mother.”
“Moreover, I believe the Marquis saw clearly during the orphanage incident—Kian has all the qualities of a wise ruler. That day, I took Kian to a toy shop. It was his first outing in a long time, so I wanted to buy him toys children usually love. But what caught Kian’s eye wasn’t the toys—it was the children outside the shop, gazing longingly at the toys they couldn’t afford.”
Raydocs seemed genuinely surprised by this.
Unlike most children who get completely absorbed in toys and ignore their surroundings, our Kian—only seven years old—had noticed those poor children outside staring wistfully at the shop window.
“Isn’t it obvious he’s fit to be a king? Teaching crown prince lessons to a royal grandson like him would be a deeply meaningful task for Your Lordship as well.”
He’s going to be your future son-in-law! So stop hesitating and just make your decision already!
As if hearing my inner thoughts, Raydocs replied,
“Very well. Then, despite my shortcomings, I shall take His Highness the Royal Grandson under my care.”

"I'll finish hugging you properly back at the ducal manor."
Is he just finding any excuse to hug her? I’m still trying to figure out if he’s starting to have feelings or not! Or if he’s just not right in the head and does these things out of obligation or sense of duty? Idk.

I still don’t get how her spending his money makes him impressed? 😂🤣
Honestly? Good job Sikar. The twins (especially Luid) and brats and should stop fighting all the time. Their dad isn’t doing get there. And I’m not a fan of the “gentle parenting” when the kids are absolute terrors that need a more firm hand.
I wonder if Sikar is starting to get slightly jealous of Kian and his interactions with Yura?
