[Full] The Villain Found Out This is a Novel (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 28
The training room at Duke Blake’s manor looked, from the outside, like nothing more than a small circular building resembling a modest practice ground.
The training room was a private space used exclusively by the manor’s master, Sikar, and his subordinates, never disclosed to outsiders. Directly in front of the training room was an attached corridor-style waiting area where one could rest.
Vika and Durion used to spend nearly half their days in the training grounds.
Lately, however, Vika hadn’t been visiting the training room as often as before, occupied as she was with caring for the young master who had appeared at the manor—but on days like today, when guests arrived at the manor, she invariably came here.
Durion stood with his arms crossed, aimlessly pacing the waiting area.
“The Duke and the King seem to be on bad terms. Did they have a fight?”
Vika appeared disinterested, sitting as if she weren’t paying attention, but all her senses were focused outside.
“Humans are always fighting.”
“But you’re always fighting too, aren’t you?”
“We fight openly, but humans fight underhandedly.”
Durion absolutely could not agree with the notion that all humans were the same.
“Not all humans are like that. Look at me—I always fight openly! I’m the kind of person who doesn’t even know what scheming means!”
Vika likewise couldn’t agree.
“You’re just too stupid to scheme.”
Durion didn’t bother denying that. He scratched his cheek a few times and gave a nod of reluctant acknowledgment.
“Anyway, the atmosphere feels strange. Even that spirit mage who used to follow around like a shadow isn’t visible—it’s suspicious.”
“Wasn’t that spirit mage always coming and going unpredictably?”
“Your dull eyes probably didn’t notice, but that spirit mage was always silently trailing behind Gillian.”
“Really…?”
Vika rose from her seat and took one of the daggers sheathed at Durion’s waist into her hand.
“I’d better go check outside.”
“Why take a knife? Should I come along too?”
“You stay right here. Someone as dull as you would be spotted instantly.”
“But I’m still strong, you know.”
“Your strength won’t be useful right now, so just wait.”
Since it was inside the manor and not outside, Durion wasn’t overly worried about Vika’s safety. Thus, to signal his decision not to follow her, he slumped fully back into his chair.
“Fine. Be careful out there.”
As soon as Vika stepped out of the training room, she sensed the ominous aura enveloping the manor and cautiously followed the scent of darkness. To her astonishment, nightmare spirits were writhing along every inch of the manor’s walls.
‘Look at these things.’
Vika thought she knew where these creatures had come from. That spirit mage had vanished, and apparently used the opportunity to carry out this mischief in the manor.
‘A rare treat.’
Licking her lips like a predator who’d just spotted a herd of gazelles, Vika leapt straight into the writhing swarm of spirits.
The nightmare spirits fled in panic at Vika’s sudden intrusion, but she scaled the walls and devoured the smoke-like spirits one after another.
The louder the dark shadows shrieked as they were torn apart in Vika’s grasp, the more delighted she looked, her lips curling into a sharp, cruel smile.
Whenever one tried to escape, she seized even the faintest trailing thread and chewed it utterly to nothing, leaving not a single strand behind.
In an instant, every nightmare spirit clinging to the manor became Vika’s snack. She meticulously licked every wisp of spirit residue from the corners of her mouth before wiping it clean.
‘Is this really all there is? I was almost full—what a pity.’
Though not entirely satisfied, Vika felt unusually cheerful for once.
The time for revenge had come. The time to show Sikar exactly what a villainess truly was!
I dressed early that morning in a gown so ostentatious that anyone who saw it would immediately recognize my overflowing vanity, and adorned myself with every jewel I owned.
It was a bit heavy, but it perfectly matched the concept of a decadent, wicked villainess.
Kian, preparing to go outside for the first time since arriving here, seemed extremely excited.
“Mother, where are we going?”
“We’re going somewhere a bit far.”
“How far exactly?”
“We’ll go to the city district of the capital—the area where the royal palace is located.”
“So… that’s where His Majesty the King lives, right?”
“The palace is there, but we’ll be visiting the city district itself. In the new quarter, there are all sorts of shops—and a very big toy store too.”
“Wow! A toy store?”
“Didn’t I promise to find you some friends soon? Let’s go to the toy store and buy gifts for them.”
Trending
“Really? Is that okay?”
“Of course! Today, we’re going to indulge ourselves.”
“What does ‘indulge’ mean, Mother?”
“It means buying everything you want without worrying about money. Today, I’ll buy you anything you say you want.”
“Everything?”
“Yes. I’ll buy you anything you desire—even enough to bankrupt this ducal manor—so just tell me what you want.”
Kian thought for a moment, then pressed his lips together tightly and said,
“Can I decide once we get there?”
“Of course.”
“Mother… are shrimps very expensive?”
“Shrimps? Don’t tell me you want to eat shrimp?”
“Yes. They tasted so delicious last time—it was my first time trying them.”
The way he stuck out his tongue as he spoke clearly showed how much he’d enjoyed them.
‘I really can’t let this slide. I need to warn him before something happens.’
“Kian, you must never eat shrimp again. Never.”
“Huh? Why, Mother?”
“If you eat shrimp, it’ll hurt you. You have a shellfish allergy—you can’t eat crabs or lobsters either.”
“But yesterday I was fine, Mother…”
“That’s only because Duke Sikar gave you medicine beforehand. From now on, you must be extremely careful.”
His disappointment was so great that Kian’s eyes trembled as if struck by an earthquake, and his shoulders slumped, drained of energy.
“Yes… Mother…”
“And don’t tell anyone else about your allergy.”
“Why not…?”
“Because people will think you’re weak. Kian, you don’t want others to see you as frail, do you?”
The word ‘frail’ clearly struck a chord with his pride, for Kian’s eyes suddenly sparkled with determination.
“Of course not! Mother!”
Phew. Thankfully, raising a clever child meant he was easily persuaded. I squeezed Kian’s hand tightly and said,
“Shall we go out now, then?”
I held out my hand to Kian, beckoning him to hurry. Eager for his first outing, Kian skipped over, grabbed my hand, and climbed into the carriage.
Our first stop was the most famous dress shop in the capital.
My original plan—to stride in haughtily and demand the shop’s most expensive gown—went slightly awry. No one in the shop recognized me, so everyone stared as if wondering, “Who on earth is this noblewoman?”
‘This is the same dress shop I visited before.’
So I hastily pulled out the crest I’d brought along and held it up toward the staff. Only then did they scramble into action with startled urgency, quickly gathering before me.
“Y-Your Grace! It’s an honor that you’ve graced our humble shop with your presence!”
I assumed the haughty pose Sikar had instructed me to take.
First, I leaned back on the sofa, rested both arms on the armrests, lifted my chin slightly, lowered my gaze a touch—and then spoke.
“Bring me every single one of the most expensive garments in the shop… Cough! Cough-cough…”
‘Skip the coughing. Trying to force an unfamiliar tone made me choke.’
“Y-Your Grace! A-Are you alright?”
Startled by my sudden choking fit, a staff member hurriedly brought me a glass of water.
“You’ll feel much better after drinking some water.”
Indeed, after sipping some water, the stinging in my throat eased considerably.
But today, I was determined to fully cement my villainess image—to clearly demonstrate to Sikar just how villainous his desired ‘dignity’ truly appeared.
That way, perhaps Sikar himself would have time to reflect on his own demonic nature.
I lifted my head proudly once more.
“Bring me all of your most expensive garments.”
“Yes, Your Grace!”
The staff moved surprisingly swiftly. The moment my command was given, they immediately returned with dresses and lined up before me. Yet I didn’t even glance at them—I simply lifted my teacup and said,
“Wrap them all up.”
‘This should radiate enough villainess aura, right?’

“And also wrap up every outfit suitable for our young master and send them to the ducal manor. Bill everything to House of Duke Blake.”
“Yes! How could there be any doubt? We’ll do exactly as you command!”
“For now, bring me an overcoat and hat for our young master.”
“Yes, Your Grace!”
I’d kept my expression sternly aloof the entire time to leave an impression of extreme fastidiousness and severity—so much so that my face muscles felt ready to cramp.
Clearly, this wasn’t something just anyone could pull off.
‘Ah, my poor cheek muscles.’
Perhaps my expression had been too severe—Kian started glancing nervously at me.
“Mother… are you… angry?”
Oops. To Kian, I probably looked furious. I leaned down and whispered softly so only he could hear,
“It’s just a firm way of telling them to bring our order properly. I’m not angry.”
“Really? Then I’ll imitate you too!”
“Huh? Imitate me?”
“Yes!”
Kian genuinely mimicked my serious expression. Perhaps because of his royal blood, his face didn’t look haughty as Sikar had described—instead, it radiated genuine princely dignity: poised, noble, and commanding respect without arrogance.
I couldn’t help but gaze at Kian in admiration.
“Kian! That’s perfect! Absolutely magnificent!”
At my praise, Kian’s neck straightened even more, and his chin lifted a little higher.
But with that slight shift in posture, the princely dignity from moments ago vanished, replaced by the unmistakable cuteness of a young child.
‘He’s heartbreakingly adorable, Kian.’
While we exchanged this tender mother-son moment, the staff brought over the coat and fur hat and dressed Kian in them.
He looked so incredibly charming and handsome in anything he wore that I nearly burst into tears—clamping a hand over my mouth just in time, I quickly schooled my face into a stern expression and gave Kian a sharp, deliberate flick of my finger. It was our silent signal: a mutual agreement to maintain resolute, dignified expressions.
Seeing my look, Kian—who’d been wearing a shy expression—immediately lifted his chin proudly and adopted a serious face.
‘We really do understand each other perfectly.’
As we left the shop, I brought up the topic I knew Kian would be most excited about.
“Now, shall we go to the toy store?”
“Yes, Mother! I’ve been wanting to go so much!”
‘I wonder what toys are popular here.’
I’d taken Kian to the toy store hoping to raise him emotionally stable like any ordinary child, yet I had no idea what he liked—after all, the novel never mentioned Kian playing with toys at all.
So part of me had worried he might show no interest—but that fear turned out to be completely unfounded.
The toy store was incomparably richer than the playroom Sikar had prepared for him, brimming with dolls, miniature carriages, gingerbread houses, and countless other marvels.
As soon as Kian stepped inside, he burst into energetic excitement like a fish returned to water.
“Wow! I’ve never seen anything like this!”
Kian examined each toy one by one until he stopped before a snowman-shaped toy.
At that moment, I had an “oh no” realization—Kian, who’d grown up on snowy mountains, had spent most of his childhood playing by building snowmen with Valije.
I quickly scanned for another toy that might capture Kian’s attention. While searching for a white doll—knowing he especially favored the color white, having grown up surrounded by snowy peaks—I spotted a white gingerbread man.
Holding up the flat white gingerbread man doll, I showed it to Kian and said,
“Kian, how about this? Isn’t it adorable? It’s a white gingerbread man.”
Kian took the gingerbread man I offered and broke into a bright smile.
“It’s white like a snowman too.”
“Isn’t it? Kian? You can take anything here that you like. In fact—shall we just buy every single toy in this entire store?”
Since I’d planned to spend extravagantly today anyway, emptying the whole toy store wouldn’t be a bad idea.
But Kian didn’t react with the enthusiasm I expected.
“If we buy all of these, will they go to my playroom?”
“Of course. If you wish, you can have everything here.”
Kian turned his gaze thoughtfully to the side before speaking.
“Then… I’d like to share them with those children.”
“Children…?”
I followed his gaze outside—and saw a group of children pressed against the store’s glass window, gazing longingly at the toys inside.
‘How could he even think of this? Is it because he’s the male lead?’

I was utterly amazed by the depth of consideration shown by this mere seven-year-old child.

I still don’t get how her spending his money makes him impressed? 😂🤣
Honestly? Good job Sikar. The twins (especially Luid) and brats and should stop fighting all the time. Their dad isn’t doing get there. And I’m not a fan of the “gentle parenting” when the kids are absolute terrors that need a more firm hand.
I wonder if Sikar is starting to get slightly jealous of Kian and his interactions with Yura?
