[Full] The Villain Found Out This is a Novel (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 14
Kian called me “Mother” while clenching his fists and staring at me with anxious eyes. His expression pierced my heart.
Just how badly must he have longed to call out the word “Mom”?
I spread my arms wide toward Kian.
“Thank you for calling me that. Will you come here?”
Without hesitation, Kian rushed into my embrace. This small child, who would one day become the master of this kingdom, clung tightly to me as if afraid I might slip away.
Seeing him hold me so tightly, I wondered just how much he had missed the warmth of an adult—and once again, tears welled up in my eyes.
Still nestled in my arms, Kian cautiously spoke without lifting his face.
“It’s an honor to be your son, my lady.”
It was I who should feel honored—I, of all people, being called the protagonist’s mother!
“Kian, I’ve told you before—call me ‘Mother,’ not ‘my lady.’”
“Yes… Mother….”
Until now, my vague notion had been that I’d only become a mother because of Sikar, out of necessity. My true intention had been to act more as a teacher, giving my best to this child rather than as his actual mother.
But after hearing Kian call me “Mom,” I genuinely wanted to become the kind of emotionally stable mother he needed—until the day I could safely send him back into Veronia’s care.
‘Until you’re safely back in Veronia’s arms, I promise I’ll protect you.’
Kian, who had been nestled in my embrace, suddenly lifted his head slightly as if a thought had struck him.
“Um… but what about… the Duke…?”
Ah, right. Of course. Kian must be feeling uneasy, wondering if Sikar would now become his father.
The thought made me feel guilty toward Kian. If I hadn’t been discovered, he’d likely still be living comfortably under Raydocs’ care.
But this time, I’d make sure he wouldn’t grow up lonely as he had in the original plot. I’d give him plenty of love so he could grow into an emotionally secure child.
“He’s going to become your father.”
But right now, he probably couldn’t bring himself to say “Dad.” After all, he’d only just lost his father recently.
“Kian, if you feel uncomfortable calling him ‘Father,’ you don’t have to. You can keep calling him ‘Your Grace.’ We won’t force you.”
“Really? That’s okay?”
“Of course it is. Your feelings matter most to us.”
Even so, Kian still looked doubtful, as though he couldn’t quite believe the Duke had truly accepted him as a son.
“But… did the Duke really say he’d accept me as his son?”
If Sikar’s way of trusting people was by reading their memories, then Kian’s way was by sensing their warmth.
So perhaps it was only natural that Kian found it hard to believe someone as seemingly cold as Sikar would accept him.
“Of course he did. In fact, the Duke is right now scolding the servants who made you do chores.”
Kian’s face fell with guilt at the mention of the servants being punished.
“Oh, but the uncles aren’t at fault! It was my choice to do those tasks. Please ask the Duke to forgive them.”
“What a good boy you are. Don’t worry—I’ll explain everything properly to the Duke.”
Even after my reassurance, Kian’s guilt didn’t seem to fade. He answered in a small, subdued voice.
“Yes… thank you….”
“And from now on, you mustn’t call the servants ‘uncles.’”
“Then… what should I call them…?”
“Tomorrow, we’ll officially register you as the Duke’s son. That means—officially—you’ll become our child.”
Kian blinked, clearly confused by what this meant.
“An official son…?”
“In simple terms, it means all the Duke’s people will now serve you. So you must never do chores like that again, understand?”
Kian blinked again, still looking uncertain, but nodded slowly.
“Yes….”
In the original story, Kian had merely been an ordinary seven-year-old boy, but Raydocs had secretly given him royal heir training, intending for him to one day sit upon the kingdom’s throne.
‘Kian, just wait a little longer. Once I grow closer to Raydocs, I’ll make sure you receive that royal heir training from him, just like in the original plot.’
“And I have a present for you—would you like to see it?”
“A present?!”
Indeed, perhaps gifts truly held the magical power to instantly bring joy—even to a protagonist. Kian’s face lit up as if he’d completely forgotten his earlier worries.
“Yes!”
Smiling fondly at how adorable he was, I gently ruffled Kian’s hair and walked to the door. Outside stood a pile of garment bags from the boutique, with maidservants waiting beside them.
“Bring all the clothes into the room.”
Trending
“Yes, my lady.”
As the maids carried the bags inside and set them down, Kian’s eyes widened in astonishment at the flood of gift bags entering the room.
“A-Are all these… for me?”
“Of course they’re all yours. The Duke bought them for you.”
“The Duke… bought them?”
“They’re gifts to celebrate your adoption. Would you like to try some on?”
“May I?”
“Of course! They’re your clothes now.”
Kian smiled happily, his cheeks dimpling adorably.
Once all the clothes were laid out, I sent the maids outside. Then I picked out a few outfits I especially wanted Kian to try first.
“Shall we try one on?”
But as I reached to help him dress, Kian jumped back a step in alarm.
“I’ll put it on myself!”
Ah, of course—he probably felt awkward since I wasn’t his birth mother. I still wished I could dress him myself, though.
Though slightly disappointed, I had no choice but to turn around, as Kian quickly snatched the clothes and scurried behind the bed to change.
After all, having lived alone with his father in the snowy mountains, he was far more used to doing things by himself.
After a brief rustling sound from behind me, Kian’s voice came softly.
“I’m done….”
Turning around, I saw Kian standing shyly in a tailcoat, lips pressed together. He looked so unbearably cute that I had to resist the urge to pinch his cheeks as I stepped closer.
“My goodness—you look absolutely splendid!”
Strangely, although this was likely Kian’s first time wearing a tailcoat, he had dressed himself perfectly, as if he’d done it many times before.
“Kian, is this your first time wearing clothes like this?”
“Yes… it is….”
Kian grinned bashfully and scratched the back of his head, clearly pleased.
“Wow! And you put it on so neatly all by yourself! Wasn’t it difficult?”
“No. I think I can manage on my own from now on.”
“No, from now on you must ask the servants to help you dress. Kian, you’re a noble now—it’s only natural to have them assist you.”
More than anything, I could already picture Sikar’s furious reaction if a noble refused to make use of their servants. Yet if Kian insisted on dressing himself, that would cause its own headaches.
“If you refuse to let the servants serve you, they’ll become unnecessary—and then the Duke’s household won’t keep them employed. They’d lose their jobs, Kian.”
Kian understood immediately, his eyes widening as he murmured, “Oh….”
“So don’t be shy—let the servants help you. Understood?”
Kian shuffled in place for a moment before nodding.
I remembered how shocked I’d been the first time a maid dressed me—I’d never had anyone help me with clothes before.
So in a way, I felt a little kinship with Kian. But unlike me, he was of royal blood—he’d need to adjust quickly.
“Just for today, I’ll let you dress yourself. But if you’re unsure how something goes on, just ask me to help, okay?”
Kian beamed at my offer and happily tried on several more outfits. He looked so good in everything—nothing failed to suit him.
After changing into suspenders for the final outfit, Kian sat down on the bed.
“This one’s my favorite.”
Out of the three outfits, the one Kian ultimately chose wasn’t the elegant tailcoat—but rather the suspenders he’d usually worn while living with his father in the snowy mountains.
‘He must miss his father… Kian….’
Fighting back the prickle in my nose, I clapped for him warmly.
“Wow, Kian—you look wonderful in it! How about we go to the boutique together next time to pick out clothes?”
“Boutique… you mean a clothing store?”
“Yes. And if you’d rather not go, we don’t have to.”
“It’s not that… I’ve just never been to one before. I’m actually… looking forward to it….”
Right. Everything from now on would be a first for Kian, wouldn’t it?
“Kian… now that I think about it, I realize I don’t know much about you at all. Would you tell me your story?”
I asked this question to help locate Valije’s remains. I couldn’t simply claim I’d found the body without first understanding Kian’s side of things.
Kian stared at me silently for a long while, then nodded firmly as if he’d made a decision.
Kian had lived alone with his father. His mother had been with him when he was very young, but she held no place in his memories.

His father had told him she couldn’t stay due to unavoidable circumstances, but Kian believed his mother had abandoned him.
Because they lived deep in the snowy mountains, Kian’s only friends had been the white rabbits and squirrels of the mountain.
He’d learned about “friends” and “mothers” solely from the storybooks his father brought home.
Then one day, after returning from a hunt, his father urgently told Kian they had to leave immediately.
“Kian, your surname is Recador. Never—ever forget that! But never tell anyone your surname either!”
At the time, Kian hadn’t understood why his father said this.
But soon after, unknown assailants arrived. Anticipating they’d be caught even if they fled, his father Valije created a small circle of warmth in the snow and hid Kian inside it.
Trapped within that tiny space, Kian couldn’t move a muscle. He couldn’t see or understand what was happening outside—he could only tremble and cry.
He had no sense of how much time passed before the warmth surrounding him finally faded.
When he finally emerged from the snowdrift, nothing was visible before him—only an endless expanse of white snow.
Desperate to find his father, Kian wandered through the snow until he spotted someone who looked like his dad and struggled through the deep snow toward him.
Strangely, his body temperature didn’t drop. He couldn’t tell if it was because of the lingering warmth his father left behind—or warmth radiating from his own body.
Chasing after the man who resembled his father, Kian soon found himself in a village he’d never seen before—the first village of his life.
Though he was seeing a settlement of people for the first time, nothing registered in his vision except the figure he believed to be his father.
Then, as if guided by a ghost, he entered a nearby house.
The house Kian entered was the very same one where I’d briefly stayed after arriving here.
‘I already knew this story, but hearing it from Kian himself means I can now understand his heart more deeply.’
“You must have been so scared—thank you for sharing your story with me, Kian. I’ll find your mother for sure. She didn’t abandon you—it must have been because of unavoidable circumstances.”
I needed to say this. I couldn’t bear the thought of Kian growing up believing he was an unwanted child.
“Believe me, Kian—your mother definitely didn’t leave you. You’re such a precious child. She must have had a good reason.”
“Do you really think so?”
“Of course. Do you trust me?”
For the first time, Kian’s expression looked truly peaceful. With a calm and happy face, he hugged me tightly.
“Yes. I trust you… Mother.”
Perhaps it was seeing Kian so at ease—but ever since coming here, I’d never felt so calm myself.
I will rescue your mother safely—and prove to you beyond doubt that you were never abandoned. I promise.

😂🤣😂🤣 Sikar had to suffer the consequences of lying to his grandma! This is hilarious! But poor Kian, he doesn’t want to sit on Sikar’s lap!
Sikar looking at her dreams well she sleeps is definitely creepy/pervert behavior. 😂
Vika being forcefed when she says something bad is hilarious! Way to go Kian! 🤣🤣
I wonder how long it’ll take Sikar to develope feelings of love for a HUMAN and not a pet will develop. Also wonder how long it’ll take for Yura to develop feelings for Sikar.
