[Full] The Villain Found Out This is a Novel (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 16
Sikar, who detested children to death, actually placed a child on his lap.
Sikar had the expression of someone utterly bewildered by the bolt from the blue falling upon his head.
Watching him like this was just too satisfying. With eager eyes, I looked at Sikar and quietly cheered him on.
While part of my satisfaction came from Sikar’s discomfort, I also secretly hoped that if these two—who still seemed awkward and uneasy around each other—had physical contact like this, they might grow closer.
Grandmother seemed to have noticed their tense awkwardness as keenly as a ghost.
Sikar glanced once at Kian, who was glaring at him in confusion, then turned to Grandmother and spoke.
“G-Grandmother. But Kian and I still…”
Grandmother gave Sikar a stern look, furrowing her brows firmly as she spoke.
“Nonsense.”
Even Sikar couldn’t defy Grandmother, the absolute authority of Duke Blake’s household.
No—more than her authority, she was his only remaining blood relative and the person he cherished most, so he simply couldn’t win against her.
With a sulky expression, Sikar looked at Kian and tapped his knee twice—clearly signaling him to come over.
“Kian. Go on.”
With both Grandmother and me encouraging him, Kian reluctantly walked over to Sikar. Soon after, the maids lifted Kian and placed him onto Sikar’s lap.
At that moment, both of them stiffened as if frozen in place, and I had to clutch my stomach tightly to barely suppress my laughter.
“They look very good together, don’t they?”
“Yes, Grandmother. I’ve never seen a better-looking father-son pair in my life.”
“I think so too, Sikar. From now on, you’ll sit with Kian on your lap for at least ten minutes every day.”
“Ten minutes is precious time for me.”
“Nothing is more precious than bonding with your child. Spend those ten minutes asking Kian about his day and sharing yours.”
Since Grandmother was utterly resolute, Sikar replied with a hollow, lifeless stare downward.
“…Yes.”
Though Kian didn’t seem particularly happy about it, I figured that if they kept having this daily time together as Grandmother instructed, the two of them growing closer was only a matter of time.
“Today, a priest is coming to discuss my treatment, so I can’t talk with you for long. Instead, let’s have breakfast together tomorrow.”
“Yes, Grandmother.”
Since Grand Cathedral Repher was far away and couldn’t be visited often, Sikar donated a huge sum of money every month to the monastery in Recador. In return, the monastery sent a priest twice a week to treat Grandmother.
As we left Grandmother’s room, Kian asked worriedly,
“Where does Grandmother hurt?”
“Why? Are you worried about her?”
“Yes. And I…”
Kian glanced cautiously at Sikar, then looked up at me and whispered softly,
“I can heal small wounds.”
He was just too good-hearted. All Kian could really do right now was heal minor scratches.
Seeing him so eager to help, even with such a tiny ability, made him unbearably cute and lovable—I couldn’t help but smile.
“The priest is coming, so there’s no need to worry. Shall we go eat? Aren’t you hungry?”
“Yes… Actually, I was just getting hungry.”
“I thought so…”
“You’ll eat with me. I need to teach you table manners as well.”
Sikar clapped his hands once, dousing our cheerful mood like cold water, then strode ahead with a chilling draft swirling around him.
Thus, I had no choice but to say something I didn’t truly mean to Kian, who wore a disappointed expression.
“Kian, Duke Sikar may seem stern, but he’s truly a very kind man.”
Though my conscience pricked me a little, I said it because Sikar had decided to try getting along with Kian—and also from the hope that he might someday become a caring father.
But Kian didn’t seem convinced by my words—probably because all he saw in Sikar was icy coldness.
As soon as we sat down in the dining room, Sikar picked up his napkin and looked at us.
“From now on, do exactly as I do. That includes you too, Yura.”
Kian and I nodded in unison and mimicked Sikar’s actions side by side.
“This is finger bowl water. Remember never to drink it—especially you, Jin Yura. No matter how thirsty you are, never drink the water in this dish.”
“I know that! I wouldn’t drink water from a dish when there’s a cup right in front of me!… Right.”
That trailing “Right” slipped out because Sikar was glaring at me murderously. After whispering for me to speak politely in front of Kian, he continued his explanation.
“This fork is for meat; this one is for salad—don’t mix them up. Don’t make noise while eating, and don’t open your mouth too wide. When drinking water, sip slowly and gracefully so no gulping sounds are heard. Meals typically proceed in the order of appetizer, main course, then dessert, or you may choose items as you please. The food will arrive shortly—follow my lead and eat in order.”

I already knew this much—after all, my world had restaurants too. Or rather, this world had been built based on the rules of the world I used to live in.
Soon, the meal arrived, and Kian and I began eating as Sikar instructed. When Kian glanced at me while eating, Sikar shot him a sharp glare.
“Kian, don’t look at Yura—look at me. Yura doesn’t know anything either, just like you.”
“Sikar, Kian doesn’t even know my name yet.”
“Is that so? Then he’ll learn it now. Kian, your mother’s name is Yura Blake, and I—your f… rather, the master of this ducal household—am Sikar Blake. It’s not a difficult name, so memorize it immediately.”
Kian murmured “Yura Blake” to himself and nodded. Sikar then resumed his explanation.
“In any case, Kian, since your mother knows nothing, learn by watching me.”
I nearly choked on my food, but Sikar’s etiquette lesson turned out quite satisfactory.
“Once you finish dessert, go to your room. Your nanny will be waiting. If you need anything or have requests, tell your nanny.”
“Nanny?”
As Kian asked this, he deliberately looked at me instead of Sikar, as if ignoring him. Sikar didn’t seem to mind, but I answered with a slightly awkward expression.
“Yes. Someone who’ll take care of you, Kian. Although… she’s not human.”
At the words “not human,” Kian’s eyes widened enormously.
“Not human?”
“Ah—no, I mean, not entirely human.”
“Not entirely human?”
“Well… I mean, she is human—but only half.”
Sikar, who’d been watching us, crossed his arms as if signaling me to stop, shot me a glance, then turned to Kian and said,
“She’s half-human, half-elf.”
No child disliked elves, so Kian broke into a bright, expectant smile.
“An elf? I’ve only seen elves in fairy tales—are there really elves here?”
Kian was imagining the fair-skinned, gentle, angelic white elves from storybooks.
‘He’s going to feel cheated when he meets Vika.’
I couldn’t help but worry that Vika might scare Kian—after all, she was a combative dark elf!
“Kian, if by any chance Lady Vika…”
I’d been about to tell him to come to me if she frightened him, but stopped myself, fearing Sikar might read my thoughts.
“Lady Vika… what about her?”
“Ah… never mind. I just wanted to say—don’t be too disappointed if she’s not what you expected.”
Instead, Kian gave me a mature-looking smile, as if reassuring me not to worry.
“Yes, don’t worry.”
How could he speak so sweetly?
Seeing how worried I was, Sikar glanced at me once, then turned to Kian with a stern gaze.
“Vika serves you. Don’t be intimidated by her presence—order her to do anything you need. Never forget that you rank above her. Remember that.”
Kian nodded as if he understood, though he didn’t seem to take it too seriously yet—since he hadn’t met Vika, he was simply excited about her being an elf.
So thrilled was he that when told Vika was waiting in his room, Kian dashed off without even looking back.
Right. No matter that she’s a dark elf—he won’t be cowed. Our Kian is the protagonist, after all!
Watching Kian leave, Sikar stood up as if it were now my turn.
“Let’s get up too. If our plans are to stay on track, I must properly teach you refinement.”
Hoping his refinement lessons wouldn’t turn into terror sessions, I stood up and followed Sikar.
‘She definitely said elf…’
Kian stood frozen, staring blankly at the white-haired woman seated by his room’s window.
Her face, hidden beneath long white hair cascading past her waist, was dark-complexioned, and even while seated, her legs stretched so long they nearly touched the floor.
He’d never seen an elf like this in fairy tales. His mother’s words—that Vika wasn’t human—came back to him.
She seemed human, yet her tall stature and long legs gave her an uncanny, otherworldly feel.
There was absolutely no warmth about her—only the same icy coldness he’d sensed from the Duke. His father had warned him to always be cautious around such people.
“Young Master.”
Kian nearly conjured a spark of fire before instinctively snuffing it out at the sound of her voice calling him.
Vika stepped down from the windowsill and slowly approached Kian. Though her long strides lacked grace, they carried bold, haughty confidence.
“Hello. I’m Vika Lamburst, and from today, I’ll be your nanny.”
Her tone was polite, yet her expression was cold and gave off a strangely unsettling vibe.

“Ah… hello.”
After that awkward greeting, they stared at each other intently for a long moment, sizing one another up. A subtle tension hung in the air.
Remembering Sikar’s words, Kian, who’d been wary of Vika, thought to himself:
‘Vika serves you. Don’t be intimidated by her presence—order her to do anything you need. Never forget that you rank above her. Remember that.’
‘Right. I’m the one in charge.’
Kian thought for a moment about what to order, then realized it had been a long time since he’d heard a fairy tale.
“Um… could you read me a fairy tale?”
Vika frowned as if hearing something bizarre and tilted her head in confusion.
“That’s harmful.”
Harmful? Fairy tales for children? Kian was baffled.
“What?”
“How about ‘The Chronicles of Dark Elf Raivil’ or ‘The Legend of Demon King Ballat’?”
“What… are those?”
“‘The Chronicles of Dark Elf Raivil’ tells of Raivil, the dark elf who drained life from all living things, turning lush green meadows into barren wastelands. ‘The Legend of Demon King Ballat’ recounts how Ballat once unleashed monsters and devastated Recador in ancient times. Truly thrilling tales, wouldn’t you agree?”
“De…mon King?”
Since Kian had never heard the term “Demon King” before, he’d merely been asking what it meant—but Vika interpreted his curiosity as interest and launched into an enthusiastic explanation.
“The Demon King is the ruler of all evil monsters, delighting in domination and destruction…”
‘This person is weird…’
Though Kian didn’t fully grasp the context of Vika’s stories, he instinctively felt they weren’t suitable for children.
Then he recalled how his father, Valije, would pop a candy into his mouth whenever he caused trouble.
‘Long ago, people would scatter sugar before their doors to drive away demons, for demons dislike sweetness. When you feel ill intent rising, put a candy in your mouth—it calms your heart and expels the demon within. But never cause trouble just to get candy.’
Just then, Kian’s eyes fell upon a basket on the table, brimming with candies.
“One day, a dimensional gate opened on the snowy peaks of the Northern Plateau, unleashing the gates of the demon realm…”
Kian reached out and popped a candy straight into Vika’s open, chattering mouth. Vika blinked at him, utterly bewildered by this sudden action.

Sikar looking at her dreams well she sleeps is definitely creepy/pervert behavior. 😂
Vika being forcefed when she says something bad is hilarious! Way to go Kian! 🤣🤣
I wonder how long it’ll take Sikar to develope feelings of love for a HUMAN and not a pet will develop. Also wonder how long it’ll take for Yura to develop feelings for Sikar.
The continued misunderstand that she likes him is hilarious. How can Sikar twist everything to be that she likes him?😂😂
