Si Yoon lifted Mi Joo’s cheeks with both hands and rose slightly from his chair.

In an instant, his lips met hers across the table. Just as when feeding her food, Mi Joo helplessly accepted the warmth Si Yoon offered.

Her hands had already covered his, which cradled her cheeks, pressing closer as if pleading for just a little more, just a little longer.

If this had been their dining table at home, he might have toppled over right then—but Si Yoon held his strong core steady and continued the kiss, perilously balanced.

When he finally pulled back briefly, Mi Joo parted her lips to let out a breathless sigh, and Si Yoon, seemingly reluctant, kissed her once more lightly before sitting back down.

Mi Joo flushed red as she realized she’d just done something embarrassingly intimate in a crowded restaurant.

‘So this is Si Yoon’s way of dating.’

It was so bold and unrestrained that it left her flustered—but impossible to refuse.

“Mi Joo, didn’t I tell you when we first met?”

“What did you say?”

“That I’ve seen a lot of people kissing on the street.”

Right. Back in the parking lot, she’d blurted that out without thinking after seeing Si Yoon kiss someone. But it wasn’t a lie—she really had seen couples kissing everywhere on the raw, unfiltered streets of America.

“I’ll do a lot of that before we return to Korea. It’ll be harder to show affection like this once we’re back.”

Honestly, the sheer confidence with which he asserted his rights was something else.

Even after the kiss, Si Yoon kept his full attention on Mi Joo, not glancing anywhere else.
