When You Forget Me (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 22
Eun Chae glared at the mirror as if scolding it. The heavy droplets of water traced her bloodless jawline and fell one by one from her chin, soaking into her ivory sweater and leaving behind a stain-like mark.
How long had she stood there, pitifully staring at her own reflection?
With a weary face, Eun Chae leaned her weight against the wall with a soft thud. She grabbed her phone, which she’d set down on the sink while washing her hands, and pressed the side button to turn on the screen.
She’d never been the type to calculate what day of the week it was or how many days remained until the weekend—but for some reason, her eyes were suddenly fixed on the date.
After staring at it for a long while, her body slid slowly down the wall until she crouched on the floor, letting out a pained breath.
It was her mother’s death anniversary in two days.
At this time every year, an inexplicable loneliness would always wash over her. But this time—how was she supposed to deal with having completely forgotten about it?
Should she be glad she’d finally escaped that unbearable sense of absence? Or should she reproach herself for being so distracted by other things that she’d even forgotten this?
Eun Chae trembled faintly before slowly straightening her knees and standing up. With the practiced calmness of someone used to it, she finished washing her face with a blank expression.
Avoiding sentimentality was a habit she’d held onto for a very long time.
It was unfortunate that the ensemble rehearsal ran late.
Eun Chae couldn’t bring herself to stop practicing, not when her viola finally started sounding right toward the end. She even bribed the hungry members who wanted to leave with sandwiches just to keep them a little longer.
She desperately wanted to fill that sense of insufficiency, however she could. When she finally stepped outside after rehearsal, she saw the sky already painted in sunset hues—and suddenly felt a pang of regret.
Even waiting ten minutes required considerable patience. Kwon Gi Ju, on the other hand, must have waited roughly four hours.
Eun Chae’s legs hurried down the art hall’s stairs faster than ever before. Her eyes swept the surroundings anxiously, yet she couldn’t find him anywhere.

After Being Cheated On, She Picked Up a Treasure (Female-dominant)
One-line summary: The husband I married on a whim had been secretly in love with me for a long time.
On the day when Jun Shao finally obtained the imperial decree for her marriage, Lan Qu, the person she had admired for six years, defied the decree and ran away.
Her gentleness and devotion, her promise of a lifetime together, were all disregarded by him. Instead, he dreamed of entering the palace to serve the Emperor’s sister as a sixth-rank attendant.
News of this incident spread throughout the capital, and the alleys in front of and behind the Lan mansion were crowded with people who came to watch the commotion.
Jun Shao should have been embarrassed and angry.
But someone stepped in to protect her dignity.
The figure was in a miserable state, yet still possessed an undeniable elegance and handsomeness.
The young lord struggled to climb the wall of the Lan mansion and shouted to her, “If he won’t marry you, I will!”
So, Jun Shao took advantage of the situation and married the person.
She thought the young lord did it to save the Lan family from the crime of defying the imperial decree, but never imagined that from beginning to end, what he coveted was her.
*
After the wedding, Jun Shao felt like she was living in a dream.
Her Wife-master was as beautiful as a fairy in a painting, skilled in the six arts, well-versed in poetry and literature, capable of being gentle and attentive, and also grand and dignified. Most importantly, she was the only one in his heart and eyes.
Jun Shao didn’t know how Lan Shiwu, as a illegitimate son without a father and blessed with beauty, had managed to preserve his purity, recklessly escape, and use his last ounce of strength to ruin his own reputation, all because of his love for her, just to stand before her.
She could only see him gazing at her with eyes full of love, and when she bestowed a name upon him, his eyes shone like stars.
“You have come to me like a weary bird perching on a branch. I shall call you A Qi.”
