Jung Hwa moved toward the sofa placed at the center of the Dior boutique and lowered herself onto the plush cushion of the stool, haughtily crossing one long leg over the other. Her icy gaze remained fixed on the female employee.

With a mere flick of her chin—using not her hand but her foot—she signaled the employee to come over by tapping the pointed toe of her red heels.

Jung Hwa’s cold and venomous demeanor instantly froze the boutique’s atmosphere solid. All the staff stiffened, nervously darting their eyes between Yoo Jung Hwa and Kim Mi Ho.

Though feeling as if she’d been struck by lightning, Kim Mi Ho couldn’t refuse a customer’s call. Reluctantly, she shuffled toward Yoo Jung Hwa.

But what caprice was this now? As if dismissing the icy tension altogether, Jung Hwa smiled gently and asked,

“The oil used at this hotel’s spa was really quite good. It’s one of your products, right?”

Phew—saved!

The staff collectively exhaled in relief at Jung Hwa’s unexpectedly pleasant smile and ordinary question, their tension finally easing. Kim Mi Ho, who had been the most frightened, also relaxed her stiff expression and quickly replied,

“Oh… um, you must mean the jojoba oil serum. Shall I bring it for you?”

“Yes.”

“Oh, right!”

Though her smile appeared slightly awkward—her face thawing too quickly after being frozen—the employee swiftly retrieved the requested product with her habitual kindness.

“Is this the right item?”

“Let me hear the explanation first.”

Jung Hwa merely glanced at the serum, then uncrossed her legs as if confirming it was correct and assumed a posture ready to listen attentively. The employee immediately began speaking earnestly.
