“Commander.”
Delia’s tone suddenly changed.
The cheerful chirping of a baby bird now called Aaron in a noticeably lower voice.
Aaron’s eyebrows twitched at the abrupt shift in atmosphere.
“Why so suddenly scary? What’s wrong?”
“I finally understand clearly why you’ve been so kind to me, Commander.”
Delia glanced briefly at the plate on the table.
The meat on the plate had already been neatly sliced into bite-sized pieces.
Probably arranged that way by the commander himself.
“I think I even know why you worry about me getting hurt. It’s because you’re keeping me alive to use me, right?”
Delia had already decided on the answer herself before even asking the question.
It was a question for which Aaron’s reply didn’t truly matter.
Perhaps the next question would be the one actually needing an answer.
Aaron listened carefully to Delia’s clear voice.
“But…?”

Thinking she was drowning, he jumped in without hesitation to save her, but nearly drowned himself. In the end, it was she who swam over to rescue him, giving him air underwater.
After emerging from the water, his ear tips turned red. He lightly brushed his cheek, tucking his sideburns behind his ear, revealing delicate, pink-tinged ear tips. He lowered his gaze, too embarrassed to look at her.
Xin Jiao Zhou: He’s truly beautiful, kind-hearted, and adorable.

If the fate of the crown prince is unknown, why would they send away the only other heir?
Does the queen really think Delia would be better off in Boswell? She should know better. Whether enemy or ally, Delia would be treated as an object and used for her relation to the throne and ability to bear children. At least this way Delia can not only be happy but retain her dignity. Or is the queen perhaps grieving that her son will be deposed and wants to send Delia away so there is noone to replace the crown prince?
