“Herd… mmph!”

Before Blair could utter a word, his lips descended upon hers, swallowing her voice.

Herdin roughly invaded the seam of her lips, tangling their breaths. The desire he had suppressed while watching her sleep now burst forth like a dam breaking, overwhelming her.

“Mmm…”

Their kiss continued, hot breaths and sticky saliva entwining as if he meant to devour her whole.

Blair, disoriented by the stronger-than-usual intensity of his kiss and the lingering haze of alcohol, couldn’t gather her wits at all. She could only passively accept the breaths he shared with her, like a fledgling chick.

She finally snapped back to her senses only when his hand slid up her thigh and slipped beneath her slip, having already forgotten her original intention in the heat of the moment.

Startled, Blair flinched and pulled her lips away. When he gazed silently at her saliva-dampened lips and leaned in again, she quickly turned her head aside this time.

Fearing he might press his lips to hers once more, Blair hastily spoke up.

“Herdin, wait—let’s talk for a moment.”

One of Herdin’s eyebrows arched upward as he watched her. His eyes already held the fierce hunger of a starved beast.

“Go ahead. I’m listening.”

Yet despite his words, his hand boldly ventured further inward. Just before it reached its destination, Blair urgently grabbed his wrist and cried out.

“I… didn’t take my medicine today.”

Only then did Herdin’s hand freeze. To stop him completely, Blair added something even more audacious.
