The Duke Only Needs My Child (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 147
When I opened my eyes, Herdin was already gone from the bedroom.
After finishing her bath and returning to the room, Blair put on the commoner’s clothes she had worn in Nerha. She was no longer a duchess.
Blair dismissed the maids who offered to help her dress and sat down before the vanity.
Her hands, combing and adorning herself alone, had grown skillful over the past few months—and would likely become even more so from now on.
Should she tie her hair up, or half-braid it?
Trying various styles, undoing them, and finally deciding took her a full hour without her noticing.
Though dissatisfied with the hastily half-tied look, she had no time to redo it. She couldn’t keep him waiting any longer—he had other appointments.
Setting aside her lingering disappointment, Blair rose from the vanity.
Before leaving the room, she took the envelope containing yesterday’s divorce papers from the drawer and placed it neatly on the table. Beside it, she set the deed to the seaside villa he had given her the day before.
After one last glance around the room, Blair stepped out.
Now it was time to say goodbye to him.

The weather was pleasant.
Warm sunlight and cool breezes—typical autumn weather. There was no sign of sudden rain or snow.
Herdin glanced away from the window and back to his desk. Even on such a fine day, documents awaiting his attention lay piled there.

After Being Cheated On, She Picked Up a Treasure (Female-dominant)
One-line summary: The husband I married on a whim had been secretly in love with me for a long time.
On the day when Jun Shao finally obtained the imperial decree for her marriage, Lan Qu, the person she had admired for six years, defied the decree and ran away.
Her gentleness and devotion, her promise of a lifetime together, were all disregarded by him. Instead, he dreamed of entering the palace to serve the Emperor’s sister as a sixth-rank attendant.
News of this incident spread throughout the capital, and the alleys in front of and behind the Lan mansion were crowded with people who came to watch the commotion.
Jun Shao should have been embarrassed and angry.
But someone stepped in to protect her dignity.
The figure was in a miserable state, yet still possessed an undeniable elegance and handsomeness.
The young lord struggled to climb the wall of the Lan mansion and shouted to her, “If he won’t marry you, I will!”
So, Jun Shao took advantage of the situation and married the person.
She thought the young lord did it to save the Lan family from the crime of defying the imperial decree, but never imagined that from beginning to end, what he coveted was her.
*
After the wedding, Jun Shao felt like she was living in a dream.
Her Wife-master was as beautiful as a fairy in a painting, skilled in the six arts, well-versed in poetry and literature, capable of being gentle and attentive, and also grand and dignified. Most importantly, she was the only one in his heart and eyes.
Jun Shao didn’t know how Lan Shiwu, as a illegitimate son without a father and blessed with beauty, had managed to preserve his purity, recklessly escape, and use his last ounce of strength to ruin his own reputation, all because of his love for her, just to stand before her.
She could only see him gazing at her with eyes full of love, and when she bestowed a name upon him, his eyes shone like stars.
“You have come to me like a weary bird perching on a branch. I shall call you A Qi.”

this is “i let you go but my brain didn’t get the update” energy fr
booknooklover Chapter 148I love that eliminating the danger and the final battle didn’t suddenly magic everything all right. The problems were still there and they still needed to be addressed. Few novels or manwha take the actual time to explore emotional damage in this way. That’s what makes this story so compelling.
Hallo12345 Chapter 148i feel so proud of blair its like watching my own child grow up. and im glad the author actually explored the emotional damage and it wanst magically solved like how many novels and manwhas skirt aside.

If fortunate, she’d be sent to the borderlands as a healing slave; if not, she’d
For the love of any God: execution. Otherwise she is going to blame everything on Blair and we’ll be back to a revenge plot. We need a clean cut.
- Proton light Chapter 148 — Paragraph 95
After reading about Gerard orchestrating the deaths of the previous Duke and Duc
I’m wondering what happened to the knight who killed Blair in previous life. The brainwashing is gone when Gerald died? Are we sure?

Le sigh le sob! Here’s to hoping this separation is for the better. Herdin needed this wake up call to become a better person by himself. Blair needs space and to live normally without a sword of Damocles hanging over her head. They’re gonna get back together
