While Koreans often bond through polite squabbles over the bill, she had no desire to accept a free meal from a man she barely knew.
On the walk back, he again matched her pace—slow and silent. Sharing time with someone without exchanging a single word was both awkward and uncomfortable.
Just as they returned to the lodging and Da Jung prepared to ascend the stairs—keeping her distance—the man ahead turned around.
“Stick to meal times. If I miss another meal because of you, I’ll sue.”
“…”
Da Jung could only blink, dumbfounded.
