Please Break Up with Me, I Beg! (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 7
Orbis quickly turned his gaze away, as if not even worth mocking.
“I, Lord Orbis! If you’re going to the ball!”
Princess Herna stepped forward urgently. She had been the one most eagerly anticipating the chance to see the Dragon God reveal himself for the first time.
Perhaps she acted out of reluctance to let the newly met Dragon God depart without even speaking to him, but Perus felt his neck prickle, worried that Herna’s thoughtless behavior might offend the Dragon’s sensibilities.
Regardless, Herna clenched her hands tightly and summoned the courage to ask earnestly:
“Will you dance with me?”
“……”
Crown Prince Perus widened his eyes.
The other princes behind him also widened their eyes.
The youngest, still young princess did not understand why her brothers were staring so wide-eyed, but felt she ought to imitate them, so she drew in a breath and widened her eyes too.
In that space, only Orbis regarded the princess with calm eyes.
“I have heard it is customary for the first dance at a ball to be with one’s betrothed, Princess.”
“I know. But I have no betrothed yet. So it’s fine!”
“The difficulty lies with me.”
“What?”
“The reason I attended the spring ball was…”
Orbis slowly blinked his eyes and continued:
“To take my bride away.”
[This is the timeline separator]Orbis lightly clenched his empty hand. The white, smooth glove bent along the joints, forming subtle wrinkles.
When he had held her hand and clasped her waist, it had been warm; now, the empty hand felt hollow and chilly.
He smiled at Litania, who gazed up at him with stunned eyes.
“I do not think it impolite. So it is fine, Litania.”
“Dragon God… Dragon God…”
Litania, as if not hearing Orbis’s words, murmured his identity with a serious expression.
“Litania?”
“Didn’t you say you were a marquis?”
Did she think he had lied to her? The woman who had felt like a languid cat in his arms now bristled like a wary wild animal.
“Hmm.”
Orbis narrowed his eyes slightly and tilted his head to soothe her caution.
“It’s not a lie that I am a marquis. Even a guardian of the empire must be a duke if he has no claim to the throne.”
Whether marquis or duke, Orbis had never truly cared for the titles the empire had bestowed upon him.
He simply needed something to introduce himself to Litania. Both had wished their first meeting to be between gentleman and lady.
“Dragon God Orbis, Marquis of Eternitas…”
“More precisely, ‘Orbis Reberto Eternitas’.”
When Orbis revealed his true name, Litania’s complexion instantly turned pale.
‘Madman!’
The first word imprinted in Litania’s mind was that.
Dragon God Orbis. Guardian of the empire.
Orbis Reberto Eternitas.
A name that held the world and eternity.
Realizing this, a single phrase suddenly surfaced in her mind:
For a dragon to love a human is like a human loving an ant. You stroke it gently, thinking it cute—and it dies crushed beneath your fingertip. A dragon’s love is no different from a calamity.
Her blood felt like it had turned to ice.
‘Messed up. Totally messed up!’
Litania finally understood why she had no grasp of what kind of story she was in.
She was not possessed by a romantic novel where a pitiful princess enters a contract marriage with a cold male lead and begins a love story.
She was not possessed by a novel where she leaves the imperial palace, earns money through business, and wins the affection of a younger, devoted man while balancing career and love.
She was even less possessed by a healing novel where misunderstandings among family are resolved, she becomes the true princess, and enjoys a happy imperial life.
‘Absolutely, definitively… finished.’

She was the protagonist of a story with no dream, no hope—a tragic tale where, after accepting the love of a dragon who knows no human emotion, she loses everything precious to her due to the dragon’s calamity-like expressions of affection, and ultimately becomes a broken shell who abandons life.
Only at the moment of her death would the dragon finally understand regret, and beg once more for another chance—begging for love—as the story ended.
[This is the timeline separator]It seems this life is ruined.
Litania folded her hands over her chest in a pose as if entering a coffin, lay down, and closed her eyes.
“Snow, bury my bones in a sunny place…”
“Litania, why are you doing this? What happened at the ball? Did they refuse you entry because of your status? Or did your brothers torment you?”
It was similar. Because Princess Herna had arrived first in the waiting room, she had been pushed aside; then, after yielding another waiting room to a pregnant woman, she had wandered into the corridor and ended up covered in mud.
But that was not the real problem.
If the scenario had been outright rejection or even being slapped by a princess, it would have still been within her expectations.
But isn’t it said that the future always escapes prediction?
‘I never imagined a supernatural disaster would strike me directly.’
And I never imagined it would charge straight toward me.
‘Dragon God Orbis.’
If the male lead is a transcendent being, ideological conflict due to racial differences is inevitable.
But the problem was that the conflict between the original Orbis and Litania didn’t end merely at that level.
If Orbis had merely inflicted trials upon Litania to torment her, there might still have been a path to redemption and happiness.
But Orbis, under the noble pretext of protecting Litania, utterly devastated her surroundings.
He killed her brothers who tormented the pitiful princess. He killed the court servants who ignored her. He even drove the Emperor to suicide.
Orbis had thought that by eliminating everything that tormented Litania, she would come to feel gratitude and rely on him.
‘Such a thought is truly typical of a male lead.’
But sadly, after losing her entire family and sinking into despair, Litania feared Orbis and tried to distance herself from him.
‘And then, the only friend who had saved her ended up dead too.’
At first, his motives were ostensibly for her sake, but as rejection continued, Orbis’s twisted obsession led him to isolate Litania completely.
Only an obsession—nothing else—could explain his mad belief that if everyone else vanished, she would have no choice but to rely on him.
‘And since Litania still didn’t like him, he ended up making her crippled, didn’t he?’
He thought that if she could neither walk nor speak nor see, she would have no choice but to rely on him.
Yet, in the original story, Litania, true to her role as a female lead in a romance novel, stubbornly pushed Orbis away…
‘And she died.’
Though the death scene itself wasn’t shown, the novel ended with Orbis weeping and repenting as she lay dying—so the aftermath was obvious.
‘Wouldn’t it be better to die as a pitiful princess in the palace than to live crippled in marriage?’
Litania seriously pondered. She had to change her life path.
‘Even if, by some miracle, I somehow altered the original plot and survived, I have no intention of walking that same path. I want to survive with my body intact!’
First, she would hide as if dead.
Then, when the opportunity arose, she would flee to another country.
That was the only way out Litania could conceive.
‘First, I need to gather escape funds.’
But how was she supposed to accumulate money?
The budget allotted to the neglected princess was pitifully insufficient, and any human relationships where she might borrow money with trust were already blocked from the start.
“Snow. Is there no way to get something like jewels…?”
“Ah! How did you know? Litania, jewels have just arrived for you.”
“Wait, suddenly?”
Had the Emperor, who had abandoned her for nineteen years, suddenly felt pity and increased her princess budget?
As Litania sat up, Snow took her hand and led her into the next room.
There, a pile of gift boxes glowed with brilliant radiance.
“Snow. What is this…?”
“These are gifts sent to you by Marquis Eternitas!”
Messed up.
Definitely, completely messed up.
“Look, Litania. These are pearls, these are rubies, these are… Wow! Pink diamonds that match the color of your eyes!”

A pink diamond, larger than Snow’s fist, sparkled brilliantly in the sunlight.
It seemed that her future was being purified and shattered by that glitter.
She had never committed a single evil act in her life—why must she suffer like this? Litania felt wronged.
“Litania, a diamond this large and transparent is almost miraculous. It must be an extraordinarily special gift.”
Yes. It was a gift to the afterlife.
“Can I send this back…?”
“All of it? But it’s a gift—if you send it back, won’t the sender be hurt?”
Perhaps he would be so hurt he would burn down the entire empire and come to find her, asking if she would accept him once everyone else had vanished.
‘Should I accept it then?’
If she accepted, he might misunderstand it as her acceptance and come searching. That was terrifying too. Litania did not wish to ever meet Orbis, a walking natural disaster, again.
“These gifts… are too burdensome…”
“You seem aware these gifts are beyond your station.”
A cold voice fell from above.
Litania looked up to see a man she had never met standing there.
“Oh! Crown Prince!”
Snow immediately bowed low in greeting.
‘Crown Prince? Then he must be Litania’s half-brother?’
They didn’t resemble each other at all. His hair was a dark brown, his eyes grayish. Upon closer inspection, there might have been a faint pink hue in his irises, but she still couldn’t see any resemblance.
Confused, Litania bowed in greeting.
“I am honored to meet you, Your Highness.”
“Is it true that you refused the Dragon God’s proposal?”
“……”
How had the Crown Prince, a man whose face she had never even seen, learned of an event that occurred between just the two of them?

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
Notes:
1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.

I hope she learns her lesson from that day and doesn’t think about entering the tower
Umm, things have gotten even more embarrassing. I don’t know what to say. (T∀T)
Their relationship has developed fairly well and smoothly, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they truly fell in love, but I’m afraid something bad might happen at the festival.
