Please Break Up with Me, I Beg! (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 15
Still, it feels good to hear you say I’m beautiful.
I’ve never said anything like that before.
Oh? Didn’t you mean it that way?
When I answered that I don’t judge people by appearance, you meant I’m pleasing to you after all.
“……It’s hard to dislike someone beautiful, unless their personality is flawed.”
I meant to say your danger can’t be masked by appearance, but Orbis responded in an entirely different direction.
“Yes, I also like beauty. Just like you.”
“Huh?”
Litania reflexively denied it, then quickly fell silent, wondering if she’d overreacted—perhaps it was just polite small talk.
‘No matter what, that’s not right.’
Compared to Orbis’s overwhelming beauty, Litania’s appearance was merely ordinary. Aside from her pink eyes, it was nearly identical to her real-world appearance.
‘Of course, I’ve never once been dissatisfied with my looks in my life.’
It wasn’t joy she felt at being praised by a breathtakingly handsome man—it was embarrassment, a prickling discomfort.
Litania deliberately changed the subject, gently nudging Orbis’s shoulder.
“You can put me down now. I can stand.”
“No. You said you injured your leg.”
“……”
She had no reply to that. Orbis smiled faintly, then shifted the surroundings once more.
‘This time, it’s a waterfall.’
A massive cascade plunged into a deep valley with tremendous roar. Though the scenery changed too rapidly to feel real, facing such grandeur and sound left one utterly overwhelmed.
“Do you like it?”
Orbis’s voice grew softer.
“It’s a view you’d never see within the capital.”
“……Have you always seen scenes like this?”
“Until I met you.”
Litania gazed down at the rainbow forming in the mist, and realized the common thread in all the scenes Orbis showed her.
‘These are places humans cannot reach.’
Not the landscapes seen by the capital’s people—but those seen by Orbis, the Divine Dragon.
Beautiful, yes—but he hadn’t brought her here merely to show her pleasant views.
Had he simply wanted to share his favorite places?
When their eyes met, Orbis smiled as if he’d read her thoughts.
“I wanted to come here with you.”
“……”
“Indeed, this is better.”
The towering mountain reaching toward the sky, the vast valley spread below like a velvet carpet.
A wondrous sight inaccessible to mortals. If one saw such things daily, wouldn’t the capital seem no more than a miniature toy? Then why indulge in human affairs? Litania couldn’t understand.
“If you need someone to share these views with, you could bring someone else.”
“I have no particular interest in other humans.”
“Didn’t you say you were enjoying yourself because of humans?”
“Haha.”
The gentle blue of his eyes darkened. A chill ran through Litania as she tried to pull away—only for his firm arm to draw her closer.
“I never had interest in humans before.”
“Huh?”
“You changed that.”
Litania couldn’t comprehend. The Divine Dragon had become the Empire’s symbol long ago.
The sequence doesn’t even make sense. They met because Orbis attended the Spring Ball.
“The time of dragons differs from that of humans. You may find it difficult to understand.”
“Y-yes.”
Was he saying it was impossible for her to understand? Litania nodded, and Orbis smiled, his gaze softening.
The brief coldness had vanished instantly.

She wasn’t sure whether to feel reassured—but looking at his smile, she inexplicably felt her heart flutter.
Feeling as if she were enchanted, Litania quickly turned her head.
“There’s a large rock over there.”
“Shall we climb it?”
“Huh? Eep!”
A light breeze brushed her face, sending her hair swirling. Orbis lifted her onto his shoulder as gently as a father carrying a child, then leapt upward.
Through strands of golden hair, she saw his short white cloak fluttering like a dance against his shoulder.
Through her clothes, she distinctly felt the muscles in his arm shift as he held her—and her face grew warm.
“Are you all right?”
A soft voice at her ear made her start. She’d lost her balance while leaping—her arms had wrapped around Orbis’s neck.
Realizing she was clinging to him, Litania immediately pushed herself off his shoulder.
“W-when you move, say something first!”
“I did.”
“You didn’t give me time to respond!”
“Ah. Did I seem rude?”
Orbis tilted his head, grinning.
“Even more unforgivable than my beauty?”
“……”
Litania was momentarily dumbfounded. Was he really using this face like this?
“……It’s embarrassing.”
“Is it embarrassing to climb a rock without giving you time to respond?”
“No, I’m the one who’s embarrassed.”
Litania groaned and covered her face with both hands.
“Put me down now.”
“But your leg—”
“I’m sorry. I lied about my leg. I didn’t want to go far.”
At last, Litania spoke honestly. The final phrase—“with you”—was left unsaid.
“I see. I’m glad you weren’t injured. I was worried.”
“Ugh… So just put me down.”
“I’d rather not.”
“What?”
Was he punishing her for lying?
Considering his past treatment of her after she refused his proposal, it was entirely plausible. Litania stared at him sternly—whereupon Orbis softened his gaze slightly and let out a light sigh.
“If I set you down here, you truly might get hurt. Let me set you down somewhere safe.”
With that, he raised his gloved hand and snapped his fingers.
The scenery shifted once more.
[This is the timeline separator]A delicious aroma drifted from somewhere.
Where the majestic valley had been, small buildings with colorful signs now stood.
Instead of the large rock, trees adorned with colorful garlands and strings of twinkling lights enclosed the two.
“Orbis, this place is…?”
“I thought you’d never been to the village.”
The imperial palace holds festivals each season, but outside the capital, small gatherings like this occur once or twice a month.
Perhaps it was that time now—opposite stalls with unusual signs, street vendors sold all manner of tasty food.
In the distance, a crowd had gathered, likely drawn by a street musician’s performance.
“Let me set you down now.”
Having been held so long, her feet touching the ground felt oddly awkward. As Litania stepped back to hide her unease, Orbis lightly took her hand.
“Litania, aren’t you hungry?”
Only then did she notice the sun had begun to set, violet twilight creeping across the crimson sky. She hadn’t realized how much time had passed, wrapped in his arms.
It felt as if magic had not only moved them through places, but sped time itself.

Litania hesitated briefly.
She’d forgotten her hunger while exploring, but now awareness returned—her stomach growled. At the tea party, she’d been too nervous to even touch dessert. She really should eat something.
‘After all, Orbis has gone out of his way to take me around.’
To a dragon, teleporting or carrying one person might not be taxing—but rejecting his kindness so persistently felt strange.
‘Perhaps the original Orbis turned cruel because Litania only pushed him away.’
After he became cruel, he used every means to drag her down—but if she gently trained him now, while he’s still kind, might it not be better?
Overwhelmed by too many experiences at once, her mind no longer felt suffocating fear when she looked at Orbis. Perhaps now, being amiable suited them both.
“We should eat here.”
“You say the sweetest things. Shall we walk together?”
Orbis smiled faintly and tugged gently on their clasped hands. Litania quickly gripped his hand with both of hers.
“Wait. Won’t we stand out too much in such a crowd?”
“Unless you’re royal, no one recognizes a Divine Dragon’s appearance.”
“No, even without knowing that, you still stand out too much.”
Even without knowing he’s a dragon, they’d notice him all the more.
His beauty alone is striking, but his physique is extraordinary—even among crowds, his head towers above others. Who wouldn’t look?
Such a remarkable appearance is unforgettable—impossible to blend into a bustling street.
“Then let’s make sure you don’t stand out.”

She said to him: “Tell me, what makes you like me? I’ll change it!”

Liu Changning transmigrated into a female cannon fodder character in a female-dominant novel.
After reading the first half of the novel’s plot, the first thing she did upon transmigration was to divorce the Pan Jinlian-style male protagonist she had just married.
She indulged herself, pretending to be ugly and poor.
But as time passed, the way that man looked at her became more and more unusual…
Liu Changning was dumbfounded: Tell me, what makes you like me? I’ll change!

This lifetime, Pei Yuanshao was rejected by the same woman twice!
The first time, she drove him away. Forced by the situation, he endured the waves of anger in his heart, yielding and humbling himself.
That person lay slanted on a rocking chair, her sallow face emotionless: “If you don’t want a divorce, go cook!”
Pei Yuanshao’s face was dark and gloomy: “You!”
The second time, after the crisis in Jinling City was resolved, the new emperor sent someone to pick him up. He turned around, stammering: “I… I have to go. If you keep me…”
That person lay on the kang bed, her back to him, as if she had long anticipated this day, crisp and clear: “Goodbye!”
Pei Yuanshao was so angry his fingers trembled: “You… you!”
The mission of family and country made him restrain himself, averting his eyes and turning to leave this broken household.
Two years later, they met again. Seeing her ethereal face, his body shook like a sieve.
“She was originally a ‘she’!”
At the Qionglin Banquet, the top scholar of the imperial examination, a talented person with exceptional speech and conduct, all the unmarried young gentlemen from aristocratic families looked at her with shy and timid eyes.
The peerless imperial official Pei Yuanshao felt the anger in his heart erupt. He pointed at the woman surrounded by the crowd at the Qionglin Banquet, his thin lips slightly curled: “Little sister, I wants that person to be the wife-master of my Mingde Prince Manor.”

I hope she learns her lesson from that day and doesn’t think about entering the tower
Umm, things have gotten even more embarrassing. I don’t know what to say. (T∀T)
Their relationship has developed fairly well and smoothly, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they truly fell in love, but I’m afraid something bad might happen at the festival.
