Lord Preston's Secret Tutor (47 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 47
Windsor faintly furrowed his brows, as if he himself had heard the nagging. The woman, who had been sipping her tea, noticed and gave a slight upward tug at the corners of her mouth.
“I’ve just realized—you left behind an entire notebook for the sake of the person who’d be left alone. That’s why you sat at your desk, pushing through the pain in your body.”
“A notebook, you say?”
The Dowager Lady Chamberlain gazed wistfully at her teacup and replied, “Yes, a notebook.”
“They called me the queen of high society, but truthfully, I couldn’t do a single thing on my own. I entrusted all household matters, big and small, entirely to Gregory. He must have worried more about me being left behind than about his own departure.”
Her quiet voice was steeped in regret—it sounded like longing, yet also like resentment.
“He left behind meticulous instructions on everything, from how to handle banking matters to managing the estate in earnest, even listing precisely whom to contact should any issue arise. Thanks to that, I’ve managed to reach this point without ever having to ask anyone for help, not even once after Gregory passed away.”
After a brief pause to choose his words, Windsor replied bluntly,
“Lord Chamberlain must have loved you deeply.”
“Yes, he did love me deeply. But I didn’t realize it back then. Only after Gregory died did I understand just how much he loved me. That’s why I resented him so much, too. If he was going to leave me like this, why couldn’t he have shown it a bit more while he was still alive? Instead, he stirred up the heart of the one left behind and even made remarriage impossible. Don’t you agree?”
Half-jokingly, she gave him a mischievous look and met Windsor’s eyes. Deep wrinkles lined the corners of the Dowager Lady’s eyes.
“Do you, my lord, have someone you love?”
“…No, I don’t.”
Windsor found himself replying without thinking. Only afterward did he wonder why he felt so oddly unsettled.
Suddenly, Jacqueline’s face came to mind. Once again feeling that suffocating tightness around his throat, he hurriedly pushed her image from his thoughts.

After Being Cheated On, She Picked Up a Treasure (Female-dominant)
One-line summary: The husband I married on a whim had been secretly in love with me for a long time.
On the day when Jun Shao finally obtained the imperial decree for her marriage, Lan Qu, the person she had admired for six years, defied the decree and ran away.
Her gentleness and devotion, her promise of a lifetime together, were all disregarded by him. Instead, he dreamed of entering the palace to serve the Emperor’s sister as a sixth-rank attendant.
News of this incident spread throughout the capital, and the alleys in front of and behind the Lan mansion were crowded with people who came to watch the commotion.
Jun Shao should have been embarrassed and angry.
But someone stepped in to protect her dignity.
The figure was in a miserable state, yet still possessed an undeniable elegance and handsomeness.
The young lord struggled to climb the wall of the Lan mansion and shouted to her, “If he won’t marry you, I will!”
So, Jun Shao took advantage of the situation and married the person.
She thought the young lord did it to save the Lan family from the crime of defying the imperial decree, but never imagined that from beginning to end, what he coveted was her.
*
After the wedding, Jun Shao felt like she was living in a dream.
Her Wife-master was as beautiful as a fairy in a painting, skilled in the six arts, well-versed in poetry and literature, capable of being gentle and attentive, and also grand and dignified. Most importantly, she was the only one in his heart and eyes.
Jun Shao didn’t know how Lan Shiwu, as a illegitimate son without a father and blessed with beauty, had managed to preserve his purity, recklessly escape, and use his last ounce of strength to ruin his own reputation, all because of his love for her, just to stand before her.
She could only see him gazing at her with eyes full of love, and when she bestowed a name upon him, his eyes shone like stars.
“You have come to me like a weary bird perching on a branch. I shall call you A Qi.”

While you can never be sure if a male lead, female lead, or any other character will be a green flag, it seems you can always count on the miscommunication trope to be present,
