I'm Terminal Anyway, No Regrets (17 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 7
Liam Wilboyer was skeptical.
Ever since she had spoken his name at the banquet, he had remained constantly on high alert, scanning his surroundings—checking whether the number of soldiers or knights had changed, and watching for any tails.
Of course, there were watchers; after all, they were the Empire’s delegation.
“It’s not much different from last year. One of the ducal houses possesses an ability, so they hardly train physically—their skills aren’t impressive. You can rest easy.”
At Benjamin’s reply, Marcus Venam scoffed as he took a sip of tea.
He had bluntly told Marcus countless times to use that perfume more moderately, yet Marcus always carried an overpoweringly thick scent.
“We could seize it easily even now—the only issue is justification. That sly fox Beltoar will stall for time and never hand over a royal.”
“The ducal house and the Beltoars surely understand Wilboyer’s situation clearly, yet they remain cruel.”
“They’re the ones who cast us out for their own mistakes and branded us heretics. Any conflict boils down to pride.”
“I hope we can accumulate enough justification to claim Glisia.”
“It won’t work unless the justification is exceptional. If we take it by merely annexing land as we’ve done before, internal resistance will cause trouble. That’s precisely why faith is so fearsome.”
“That damned faith.”
“That’s exactly why the Crown Prince sent Marcus Venam—not a duke—so he could be discarded as a scapegoat if trouble arises.”
Marcus chuckled cheerfully, talking about himself.
A shadow deepened on Liam’s face.
The Wilboyers didn’t attend the Empire’s social gatherings. Though they appeared before the Emperor and participated in state councils, they mostly roamed battlefields, stabilizing border conflict zones under the Emperor’s orders.
No one at Glisia’s lavish banquet would recognize his face.
That’s why he joined the delegation.
He hadn’t come here harboring hope in Glisia’s royal family. Seeing his younger brother Kyler grow weaker and suffer in agony, Liam had even considered resorting to abducting a royal if necessary.
‘Ormia Beltoar.’
Recalling the name of that despicable house—worthy of being chewed to pieces—he entered a temple he’d never visited before.
The Magnus Church—the state religion and symbol of Glisia.
In Glisia, the Wilboyer house was called the family abandoned by the gods, heretical traitors to the divine, and cursed demons.
Yet when Liam stepped into the temple, the gods did not strike him down with heavenly punishment.
In the main hall of the grand temple, Ormia Beltoar, with her pale pink hair, knelt on the cold floor in prayer.
She wore a white prayer veil.
Liam pulled a single flower from his sleeve.
The white flower that had suddenly appeared above them at the banquet.
He’d already heard all about Glisia’s royals from his spy’s report.
Ormia’s flower—the powerless one.
He’d heard people avoided it, even considering it ominous.
The powerless one, rejected by the gods—her ability supposedly intensified human suffering.
‘What’s her game?’
Gripped by a sharp pain piercing his brow, Liam clutched the doorframe. His face turned pale, though his expression revealed little.
A curse-like agony surged over him.
Starting as a headache, it escalated into a dizziness as if thousands of needles stabbed his spine—an ability’s side effect so excruciating even a burly man broke into cold sweat.
It came in waves—relentless, ceaseless, crashing into him again and again.
After sweeping through once, it returned shortly after.
Sometimes weak, sometimes intense—whenever he used his ability while this pain accumulated, the agony would flood his body like a tsunami, leaving him bedridden for days.
He had the medicine provided by the Empire—temporarily suppressing the pain—but it was highly addictive.
His younger brother Kyler couldn’t endure it.
He’d become dependent on the Empire’s medicine, and as tolerance built up, it stopped working altogether.
“Brother… h-hyung…”
“Please kill me, Mother. Ghhk… I can’t… it hurts…”
“How can you tell me to endure when the pain is so unbearable it makes you want to die!”
Liam gazed at Ormia’s back as she prayed.
“I can save your younger brother.”
He didn’t trust Ormia Beltoar.
But that statement—
Her confident whisper,
Trending
The sudden appearance of the flower,
And the way she’d looked at him with tearful, red eyes—lingered in his mind.
He’d heard that whenever Ormia visited the temple, she always stopped by a dessert café and sat on the second floor. He’d already sent someone to occupy the adjacent table.
Strolling slowly as if sightseeing, he walked to the dessert café and sat down cheerfully at the next table, turning his back to her as though meeting an acquaintance.
She had brought no one—not even a maid or a knight for protection.
Expanding his senses to survey the area, he detected only one armed individual tailing him—the spy assigned to monitor Liam, part of the Empire’s delegation.
Not someone assigned to Ormia.
‘She’s a princess.’
Even after marrying and becoming Madam Olan, Ormia Beltoar remained a princess. Despite her marriage, certain basic provisions for maintaining royal dignity and safety should have been guaranteed—yet she received not even the bare minimum.
‘Is it arrogance—thinking no one would dare touch a royal, the gods’ representative—or perhaps…?’
His contact across from him left as instructed, heading downstairs to meet an acquaintance. Their conversation would continue until the signal came.
“Do you think I’m ignorant of the rumors? The powerless, god-rejected princess—what strength do you have to help my brother?
What I need isn’t an incompetent princess like you—it’s a royal who can bestow blessings.”
He prodded and provoked Ormia,
intending to shatter her composure and draw out her true intentions. Yet despite his provocation, Ormia remained unmoved.
“I investigated—no one knew I’d come. The Beltoars would never allow a Wilboyer onto their territory, and their surveillance remains unchanged from before. How did you recognize me?”
“Did you bring the flower?”
Startled by the sudden, seemingly random question, Liam pulled a single flower from his sleeve.
It was just an ordinary blossom.
Though creating fresh flowers was considered a miraculous feat, it was nothing more than that.
Though he felt Ormia had seized control of the conversation, his curiosity outweighed his irritation.
‘What does she intend to do with this?’
Scoffing through the sharp, prickling headache at his temples, he said:
“Yes, I brought it. What’s your scheme?”
Just then—
Though there was no wind indoors,
and the windows remained closed,
a faint breeze—just enough to stir his hair—brushed past him from behind.
And the palm where he’d placed the flower began to grow warm.
The flower in his hand glowed faintly before crumbling away like sand.
Tiny particles of light seeped into his body.
“What…?”
‘I’ve been tricked!’
His first thought was that the Beltoars had deceived him.
He tried to stand quickly, but his vision swam with dizziness, his body growing languid and weak.
Instinctively, Liam gripped the table.
Something spread swiftly through his body—
warm, refreshing, and indescribable—a force seeping into every corner, from his toes to the crown of his head, to the tips of his hair and extremities.
Instinctively, Liam recognized what it was.
“A blessing…”
The word escaped him like a moan.
Normally, a persistent headache plagued him. The slightest brush of fabric made his skin ache, and distant chatter sounded unbearably loud and grating.
Now, as if a veil had been drawn over everything, the pain vanished.
His hypersensitive senses, which once caused agony, no longer tormented him.
It was a sensation he’d never experienced since birth.
His eyes grew hot.
Overwhelmed with emotion, tears blurred his vision.
‘So this is what the world is truly like…’
Not even the medicine the Emperor had given him offered such relief.
Vitality surged through every part of his body.

Feeling reborn, Liam’s eyes widened.
This was the blessing—this was the power of the Beltoars, the gods of Glisia.
Ormia Beltoar’s blessing.
Goosebumps rose in ecstasy.
Just as he turned to look back at Ormia behind him, her voice stopped him.
“Don’t look at me. We still have much to discuss.”
“How? I heard Ormia Beltoar is rejected by the gods and incapable of granting blessings.”
“I’ve realized how to use my blessing.”
Liam’s mind raced.
Royals never sent their own blood to foreign lands.
They were akin to gods themselves, and many nations harbored impure intentions.
He’d never heard of blessings being transferred through an intermediary like this—it was entirely different from direct bestowal.
If she truly possessed the ability to grant blessings through flowers, she couldn’t possibly be in such a state.
His thoughts whirled—how to exploit this, what the repercussions might be.
“No one knows.”
Liam suppressed his urge to turn around. Too many eyes watched. Acting rashly would mean losing the prize right before him.
“No one knows I can use my power like this.”
Her quiet, calm voice sent chills down Liam’s spine.
Having investigated Glisia’s blessings thoroughly, he knew Ormia’s flowers appeared in no historical or recorded texts.
“If anyone finds out… I’ll never leave Glisia, and your brother will die.”
Liam realized what Ormia wanted.
“I’ll go to the Empire.”
Ormia had already revealed her goal.
If she sought honor or power, she would have revealed her ability to everyone—but she hadn’t. She wanted to leave Glisia.
‘I heard her husband cheated and asked for a divorce.’
Still, confirmation was needed.
“You want to leave Glisia?”
“I never want to return.”
She added softly, gazing out the window. The light streaming in cast her in a hazy glow.
“Even if Glisia is invaded and destroyed, I don’t care. I never wish to set foot on this land again.”

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.

Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
Notes:
1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.
