“Thank you.”
The clerk glanced at Liam and placed the apple pie on the table.

without even lifting his head.
I didn’t wait any longer either—it was at its most delicious now.
I broke off a piece of the pie. The crisp crust shattered satisfyingly, and rich brown sugar sauce oozed out, looking utterly mouthwatering.
