Natasha, having received the letter, visited the imperial palace a few days later on the night of the full moon.

As requested in the letter, she arrived disguised, ensuring no one would recognize her.

Likewise, the two met not in the audience hall but in the palace greenhouse.

Natasha removed her robe and spoke toward the Emperor.

The Emperor of Galonde noticed the red irises glimpsed beyond her steady gaze and smiled faintly—her solemn expression reminded him vividly of someone.

She must have left an important man behind to come to such a crucial meeting—surely their relationship was strained. Yet her demeanor resembled that of Duke Aschardt. How ironic.

“However, there is a condition.”

The Emperor gave a vague reply and explained the requirement for his approval.

“I would like you to demonstrate the feasibility of your plan.”

“Feasibility, you say…?”

“I mean, show me that your rebellion stands a real chance of success. Your proposal sounded plausible enough, but I cannot know whether it will truly come to pass. If it fails, it could escalate into a conflict between nations—a gamble far too risky for our empire.”

“I already assured you that even if our operation fails, no one will ever learn of Galonde Empire’s involvement in this matter.”
