The two who arrived in the Galonde Empire entered a nearby alley and removed their disguises.

Elise’s dark coffee-colored hair vanished, and Natasha’s fine golden strands finally appeared. Her enchanting crimson eyes, previously hidden behind glasses, were revealed next.

“Shall we go now?”

Heading toward the next alley, they were greeted by a coachman who had been waiting in advance. It was an ostentatious conveyance that clashed with the dark, narrow alley.

Since they couldn’t possibly appear before the imperial palace in a shabby state, they had gone to the trouble of renting an expensive carriage.

Of course, compared to the lavish carriages meticulously crafted by noble houses, theirs was utterly plain—but it would suffice to maintain a decent appearance.

The distance from the harbor to the Galonde Imperial Palace was short, so the two arrived at their destination quickly.

“May I have your name, please?”

“I am Natasha Aschardt. I have an audience scheduled today with His Imperial Majesty the Emperor of Galonde.”

“Ah, confirmed.”

Since she had already sent a letter beforehand and secured confirmation for the audience, gaining entry posed no difficulty.

After verifying the registry, the guard eventually opened the gate.

The two stepped down from the carriage and followed the directions of the imperial attendant.

At the door to the audience chamber, Sir Dante was separated. Apparently worried about Natasha entering alone, he pleaded to be allowed in—even if he had to cover his own eyes and ears.

Seeing the guards whispering with troubled expressions, Natasha reassured them that she would enter alone. Toward the man who let out an anxious sigh, she offered a gentle smile to convey that everything was alright.
