I Accidentally Imprinted On The Wolf Duke (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 10
“Yes. Please speak.”
Chloe said, hoping the question would be an easy one.
“Before that, I think I need to air the room a bit.”
Instead of asking his question, he was idly talking about ventilation. Chloe felt slightly irritated but quickly opened the window and returned.
“Among the servants working in this house, is there anyone with blonde hair? Blonde hair about this length.”
The Duke spread his hands roughly sixty centimeters apart as he spoke.
Blonde?
Not only were blondes nearly nonexistent here, but this household employed only male servants—there certainly wouldn’t be anyone with hair that long.
“As far as I know, there isn’t anyone with hair that long… but I don’t know all the servants personally, so you might want to ask the butler.”
“No, there isn’t.”
“Yes?”
She couldn’t immediately understand what the Duke meant.
She herself thought it unlikely—but if he already knew for certain, then why had he asked?
“There isn’t a single servant in House Ulphaz with hair that long. Nor is there anyone with such bright, soft blonde hair.”
“…!”
Blonde hair, bright and soft, about sixty centimeters long.
An all-too-familiar image immediately came to mind—her own hair.
But it couldn’t possibly be hers—the brown wig concealed her golden locks perfectly.
Still, she had to suppress the urge to reach up and touch her head to check whether the wig had slipped or if she’d somehow forgotten to wear it.
“In my household, hiring female servants is strictly forbidden.”
The Duke’s rather disconnected follow-up remark darkened Chloe’s expression. The sudden shift from hair to female servants felt ominous.
“No women are allowed inside the house either. You’re well aware of that, aren’t you?”
“Yes, I am.”
Chloe answered with great effort, tensing her abdomen to keep her voice from trembling.
“You also know that violating this rule incurs a penalty fee.”
What on earth was he trying to say?
“And yet you…”
“…?”
She felt like a small animal being relentlessly driven by a hunter toward a trap it knew was there.
“Did you bring a blonde woman into my house?”
“What? What are you talking about! Me, bringing a woman into the manor?”
So that was what he’d been leading up to all along?
Bringing a woman in?
Ha!
It was so absurd she nearly snorted aloud. What insane servant would risk a penalty fee just to bring a woman into the Duke’s residence?
Besides, her room was right next to the Duke’s study—there was no way she’d do something so reckless unless she’d lost her mind.
She couldn’t understand how the conversation had veered from her younger sister to this.
“If it wasn’t you, then how else can this be explained?”
“I really don’t understand why you’d say something like that, but no! Absolutely not—I would never dare bring a woman into the manor!”
Chloe’s rebuttal, sparked by the Duke’s baseless accusation, abruptly died in her throat.
She hadn’t brought in a woman—but she herself was one.
“I found several long blonde hairs in your room. At first, I thought they belonged to your younger sister. But now that I think about it, even that seems odd—why would your sister’s hair be in your room?”
“Hairs…?”
“Whose hair is it? Explain.”
Sigh…
You wicked Duke. You should’ve started by telling me you found hair!
Although, even if he had mentioned it earlier, she wasn’t sure she could’ve explained it anyway.
She always locked her door at night and took off the stuffy wig before sleeping. Presumably, that’s how her hair ended up on the bedding.
That morning, when she’d hurried out while the Duke was away, she’d checked for any forgotten belongings—but hadn’t thought to look for stray hairs.
Now, it seemed like a painful mistake.

But how had the Duke even found those hairs? Had he entered her room?
Why?
Even if it was her own fault, it was highly unusual for the Duke to enter a servant’s room and notice hairs left on the bed.
What kind of master inspects a servant’s quarters like that?
“As I’ve said before, I detest lies.”
“…Yes.”
“Whose hair is it? Whom have you brought into my house?”
“I don’t know.”
She had no other words to say.
“I really don’t know…”
The Duke slowly echoed Chloe’s words.
“I’m sorry, I truly don’t know.”
“So you ‘truly don’t know’…”
The Duke’s gaze grew steadily colder.
“I’m sorry, Your Grace, I really…”
There was simply no way to account for the hair.
It wasn’t as if the hair had hooks on it—she couldn’t claim it had gotten stuck to her from outside.
“You’re a man—you can meet women whenever you like. Whether you’re seeing someone outside or not isn’t really my business.”
“…”
Chloe was speechless, swallowing hard.
A man meeting women? Had her cross-dressing act been too convincing?
Not only was she disguised as a man, but now she was being treated as a man who was romantically involved with a woman.
“But I smell on you the scent of the woman I shared a bed with. And that same scent lingers on the hair I found in your bed.”
So according to the Duke, his own attendant was seeing the very woman he’d spent the night with?
This was madness. How could his thoughts possibly flow in such a direction?
“Your Grace, that’s…”
“No matter your relationship with her, I must find that woman.”
“But that’s not it at all.”
At least one small comfort in this mess was that the Duke didn’t suspect she was actually a woman.
Everything else, however, was a complete disaster.
And the Duke’s character was proving to be utterly terrible.
He was demanding she hand over the woman he believed was both his lover and her romantic partner.
Honestly—what kind of self-centered, unilateral declaration was this?
Regardless of whether his claim was factually wrong, Chloe was utterly flabbergasted.
Had the Duke eaten something strange that night? Some potion that altered his personality?
“I couldn’t possibly have mistaken that scent. I’d already found it odd—you clearly carried that woman’s fragrance. If you’ve been seeing her, everything makes sense. So tell me—where is she?”
The Duke’s eyes burned with the same bizarre intensity as his irrational logic.
Like a beast that had just encountered its predator.
Or like a rutting male, eyes blazing, locked in combat with another male over a single female.
The problem was that the female in question was Chloe herself—and the rival male, whom the Duke glared at with such hostility, was also Chloe.
Wait—was he really just trying to find the woman to hold her accountable for taking his innocence?
Now she wondered if his reason for searching for the woman might be something else entirely.
It almost seemed like he was asserting ownership over her.
Even though no one had ever granted him that right.
“Your Grace!”
“Just tell me where she is. I don’t care what kind of relationship you’ve had with her—I only need to find her.”
He’d never been described as a morally perfect man, but he’d always seemed reasonable, without serious flaws—or so she’d heard. At the very least, he was known for his balanced temperament.
This behavior was completely unlike the Duke she knew.
He insisted on finding the woman regardless of whether she was seeing someone else. But what about the woman’s feelings? Her perspective? What about the other man involved?
Now, the Duke’s blind determination was truly frightening.

At this point, she almost wanted to ask outright what he intended to do once he found her. A growing suspicion told her his reasons might not be what she’d initially feared.
Of course, even if his motives differed from her assumptions, they still seemed far from simple.
“A woman? What woman would I possibly be seeing! When would I even have the chance? I work twenty-four hours a day in the manor!”
The Duke seemed shameless—and since she suspected his reasons for seeking her might be different, Chloe fired back point by point.
“What do you mean, no chance? You leave the manor for a full four days every month—and you just returned from such a leave a few days ago. Ever since then, I’ve smelled that woman’s scent on you.”
The Duke seemed to be filling the gap in his morality with delusions.
“No! That’s not it, Your Grace—it’s a misunderstanding!”
“A misunderstanding… Then who does that hair belong to? Explain it in a way I can accept. The moment you learned I intended to find that woman, you suddenly announced you were quitting—abruptly, without even repaying your advance salary. Why is that?”
“That’s because…”
“It must be because you’re seeing her.”
“That’s a completely unreasonable claim!”
“If it’s so unreasonable, then explain it reasonably.”
The Duke was interpreting every detail through the lens of his own predetermined logic.
What could she do? How could she dispel such blind suspicion?
“Aren’t you a man too! Yes, you’re a man—you could have a woman you’re seeing. Yes, that must be it.”
The Duke’s expression grew increasingly distorted as he spoke, radiating hostility toward Chloe as if she were his mortal enemy—no matter what she said, he wouldn’t believe her.
A cold shiver ran down Chloe’s spine under the Duke’s fierce glare. Now, he was openly staring her down.
Dangerous.
The Duke was undeniably dangerous right now.
“…”
“…”
Only a tense silence, thick with hostility and fear, passed between them. She couldn’t think of a single thing to say.
Whatever words she might offer, those blindly suspicious eyes wouldn’t believe them…
But she had to say something.
Anything.
Anything to clear up this misunderstanding.
Ah…! Would this even work? But it’s so…
“You—you…!”
There was no more time. She had to shatter his delusion before his anger boiled over.
“I like men!”
The words slipped out before she could properly consider them—words that lingered on her lips and now burned her cheeks even more than before.

Ex-husband Wants Reconciliation
One-line summary: Chasing the wife to the crematorium (making an effort to attract someone who has become indifferent), the female lead doesn’t look back, the second male lead takes the position.

Intro:
To repay the kindness of the older generation, Su Mu crossed into a female-dominated world and became a live-in daughter-in-law of the Yan family, single-handedly saving the Yan family from fire and water.
But her husband, Yan Jiyue, the eldest son of the Yan family, treated her with sarcasm and never showed her a good face.
It wasn’t until after Su Mu’s death that this pampered and arrogant young master shed a few fake tears and pretended to want to die for love.
This life’s kindness was enough. If there was a next life, she would definitely kick Yan Jiyue away.
Who knew that the heavens would be so kind as to allow her to be reborn, returning to the time when she had just married into the Yan family.
Su Mu glanced at the Yan eldest son, who still spoke coldly to her, and threw a divorce letter in front of him.
“Let’s divorce!”
***
Yan Jiyue never imagined that he would be reborn. He happily went to find Su Mu, wanting to make up for the mistakes he had made in his ignorant youth.
Wasn’t the reason the heavens allowed him to be reborn to let him reconcile with Su Mu?
But when he pushed open the door to Su Mu’s room, the person lying on the bed was another man.
Su Mu’s personal attendant, Xie Yi.
Yan Jiyue hated him so much that his teeth itched. In front of Su Mu, Xie Yi was a gentle and considerate whisperer of sweet nothings, but in reality, he was vicious-hearted and deliberately sabotaged their husband and wife relationship.
In the previous life, it was he who secretly hid in Su Mu’s coffin and committed suicide, stealing a step ahead of him to be buried with Su Mu.
Yan Jiyue’s eyes were filled with hatred as he cursed, “What kind of thing are you? Your background is lowly, what right do you have to occupy Su Mu?”
Xie Yi looked at the sleeping Su Mu and no longer pretended to be a whisperer of sweet nothings.
He proudly stuck out his belly, “I have the right because my belly is capable of giving the Wife-master a daughter.”
***
Yan Jiyue was consumed with jealousy. He spread rumors that Xie Yi had once been branded with the mark of a “harlot” on his chest.
But on the night Xie Yi cut off the flesh bearing that mark, Su Mu suddenly realized something was amiss.
“How did you know the exact moment I was poisoned? And why did you show up a month early?”
Xie Yi remained silent, blood from his wound soaking through his robes. His sapphire eyes brimmed with anguish – or was it just a flawless act?
Between a once-arrogant husband now seeking redemption, and a gentle soul willing to die for her – who truly held the darkest secrets? And could it be that Su Mu and Yan Jiyue weren’t the only ones given a second chance at life…?
