Date Me! (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 7
“Was that guy not in front of the office by any chance?”
After the car started moving, Joo Won asked, keeping his eyes on the road ahead.
“Huh? Oh, yeah. He wasn’t there.”
“Good thing.”
Lee I Na glanced sideways at Joo Won as he replied.
She stared at Joo Won, who was driving leisurely with one hand, and noticed his hairstyle.
On Friday, his bangs had hung down, but now they were neatly slicked back in a pomade style.
Joo Won’s profile, with his tall, clear forehead exposed, looked truly sculpted.
“What are you staring at so intently?”
Caught off guard when Joo Won glanced her way and asked, Lee I Na quickly turned her head toward the window.
“Oh, it’s just… I think it’s the first time I’ve seen you with your bangs up.”
“Does it look weird?”
“No? You look really handsome.”
Joo Won chuckled softly at her sudden, seemingly out-of-nowhere reply—like a punchline without a setup.
Embarrassed by her own words, Lee I Na bit her lip lightly.
“Flattered—do you compliment me every time you look at me?”
Seeing Lee I Na still too flustered to respond, Joo Won smiled and asked,
“Shall we head straight home?”
“Huh? But we have to eat dinner! Didn’t I say I’d treat you?”
“Right. So, what do you feel like eating?”
“Huh? That’s my line—what do *you* want? I’ll treat you to something expensive today.”
Joo Won gave a small smile and answered,
“Well, anything’s fine with me.”
“There’s no such thing as ‘anything’! Since we’re going out, we should eat something delicious. Don’t you have anything you’re craving?”
“Well… not really. Let’s just eat whatever you feel like.”
“Hmm… the problem is I want to eat *so many* things.”
Joo Won smiled and looked at Lee I Na.
“Then I’ll head to your neighborhood first—pick something out once we get there.”
Joo Won steered the car toward Konkuk University Station.
A short while later, as the car entered the Konkuk Station area, Lee I Na suggested they go to a beef short rib restaurant.
“Beef short ribs?”
“Yeah. There’s a really famous place in our neighborhood. It’s super tasty.”
“We could’ve just had something simple.”
“It’s seriously delicious here. You’ll love it too.”
“Hmm… beef starting Monday?”
“That’s exactly why—beef *because* it’s Monday. Turn right at the alley up ahead.”
Lee I Na’s eyes sparkled at the thought of beef short ribs, and Joo Won drove toward the direction she pointed.
Soon after, the two arrived at the restaurant, were led to their seats, and sat down.
Lee I Na confidently ordered beef short ribs and also added a bottle of soju.
“Drinking already on a Monday?”
Joo Won asked, folding his arms, and Lee I Na nodded.
“It wouldn’t feel right without soju with beef. Have a drink too—I’ll cover your fare home.”
At that, Joo Won unfolded his arms and laughed.
“Looks like Ms. Lee I Na earns quite a bit?”
“Hmm.”
Pretending to ponder for a moment, Lee I Na quickly replied,
“Well, I make enough to treat you to beef and cover your cab fare.”
“Oh yeah? That’s impressive.”
Joo Won smiled fondly, as if finding her boastful tone endearing.
Moments later, a middle-aged waitress in uniform arrived, pushing a cart.

Fresh salad, japchae, spicy marinated crab, seasoned vegetables, and other side dishes filled the table.
Then, the much-awaited beef short ribs landed on the grill, and Lee I Na poured soju, using their vivid crimson hue as her snack.
She poured a drink for Joo Won too, then raised her glass with a cheerful “Cheers!”
Joo Won chuckled softly and gladly clinked glasses with her.
“Ahhh.”
Lee I Na downed her drink in one gulp and set the glass down with a satisfied sigh.
Joo Won watched her with an amused smile.
“You’re acting like some middle-aged laborer who just finished a hard day’s work.”
At that, Lee I Na smiled shyly and picked up a bite of japchae.
“Joo Won-ah, the japchae is great—try some.”
She pushed the japchae plate all the way toward Joo Won.
He picked up his chopsticks, tasted it, and nodded in approval.
Then, as the waitress—watching them closely the whole time—started grilling the meat, she looked back and forth between them and said,
“My goodness, how on earth did two people this handsome and pretty end up meeting each other?”
A moment of silence fell over the table at the waitress’s remark.
Joo Won remained expressionless, but Lee I Na couldn’t hide her embarrassment.
“Hahaha… do we really look like a couple?”
Lee I Na asked, forcing an awkward smile.
“What? Oh dear! Aren’t you?”
The waitress replied, startled.
“Hahaha…”
Lee I Na gave a robotic smile and glanced sideways at Joo Won, who indifferently refilled both their glasses with soju.
“No, we’re not a couple—just friends. Haha.”
Scratching her head, Lee I Na answered stiffly.
“Oh my! I completely misunderstood—how embarrassing!”
“No, no, nothing to apologize for. Hahaha.”
At Lee I Na’s incessant robotic laughter, Joo Won nearly burst out laughing.
“Oh dear—I just thought you two matched so perfectly, I assumed you *had* to be a couple. Really sorry!”
“No worries—you could easily misunderstand.”
Joo Won, barely holding back a laugh, offered his glass to Lee I Na.
“Ms. Lee I Na, stop laughing and have another drink.”
“Okay then? Hahaha.”
Lee I Na quickly gulped her soju, and Joo Won brought his glass to his lips.
“It’s done—go ahead and eat. Enjoy!”
Once the waitress left, Lee I Na stole a glance at Joo Won and said,
“I guess a young man and woman together always look like a couple.”
“Well, that could happen.”
“Still, it was kind of embarrassing… right?”
As she said that, Lee I Na picked up a perfectly grilled short rib and started assembling an extra-large lettuce wrap.
Instead of answering, Joo Won just stared at the sizable wrap Lee I Na was making.
“Is that really going to fit in your mouth?”
“This? It’s not for me—it’s for you.”
“For me?”
“Yeah. You took time out of your busy schedule and even let me leave work early—I owe you a wrap.”
Lee I Na finished assembling her deluxe wrap neatly and handed it to Joo Won with a satisfied look.
Joo Won silently stared at it for a second before reaching out.
“Alright. Thanks—I’ll enjoy it.”
He popped the whole wrap into his mouth and slowly savored it.
Then he nodded.
“Yeah, it’s delicious.”

“Right? Told you!”
Joo Won nodded again, then picked up a piece of lettuce as if to return the favor.
He dipped a piece of meat lightly in sauce and placed it on the lettuce.
Watching him closely, Lee I Na folded her arms and asked,
“You’re giving that to me, right?”
“Yeah.”
Noting that his wrap was barely half the size of hers, Lee I Na added,
“Then add another piece of meat and more pickled onions.”
Just as Joo Won was placing pickled onions on the wrap, he looked up and met her eyes.
“Another piece?”
“Yeah. Go big or go home.”
Joo Won gave a quiet laugh and picked up the largest piece of meat.
Then he neatly rolled the wrap for easy eating and handed it to Lee I Na.
“Thanks.”
Lee I Na beamed as she accepted it.
When the wrap—with two large pieces of meat—entered her mouth, her small cheeks puffed out adorably.
Watching her chew the wrap with tiny munching motions, Joo Won couldn’t help but think she looked exactly like a cheek-stuffed hamster.
Unable to hold it in anymore, he burst out laughing.
“Why are you laughing?”
Lee I Na tilted her head in confusion.
“Huh? Nothing. Just eat quickly.”
Still chuckling, Joo Won placed another piece of grilled meat on Lee I Na’s plate.
Two hours later.
Having enjoyed their meal, the two stood up, and Lee I Na settled the bill.
“That was great. Feels like I got spoiled too much already on a Monday.”
“Don’t be silly—it’s nothing. I’m glad you enjoyed it.”
Lee I Na replied with a bright smile.
“But you ate way more than I expected.”
“Of course! Didn’t I tell you eating delicious food is what I love most?”
“Hmm.”
Joo Won folded his arms and observed Lee I Na.
“But for how much you eat, you’re surprisingly thin—don’t you think?”
At Joo Won’s words, Lee I Na blinked and looked up at him.
“Why?”
When Joo Won asked, Lee I Na rose onto her tiptoes and told him to lean his ear closer.
Joo Won bent his upper body down, and Lee I Na whispered softly into his ear,
“A woman’s body isn’t just what you see—there are hidden layers of softness tucked away in secret places… things men never know about.”
She confided as if revealing a state secret, and Joo Won turned to look at her in surprise.
Lee I Na’s warm brown eyes sparkled as she gazed up at him with utmost seriousness.
Another wave of laughter threatened to spill out, so Joo Won covered his mouth and nodded.
“I see… so there are secret, hidden layers men don’t know about.”
He said it with a straight face, and Lee I Na nodded back just as gravely.
“Exactly. So what you see isn’t everything.”
Joo Won nodded again—then suddenly snorted with laughter.
He quickly turned his head aside, covered his mouth, and let the laugh out fast.
Then he immediately composed himself and asked Lee I Na,
“Shall we head home now? It’s Monday—you should get some rest.”
“Yeah, let’s. You should go home and rest too.”
Soon after, the ride-hailing driver Joo Won had called arrived, and they got into the car.

Not long after, Joo Won’s car pulled into the villa complex where Lee I Na lived.
Lee I Na, who had been silently staring ahead, suddenly frowned.
She had spotted Jung Hoon’s car parked right in front of her building.
“That guy’s really lost it…”
Before Joo Won could ask what was wrong, Jung Hoon opened his car door and stepped out.
Joo Won’s expression instantly turned cold upon seeing him.
As Lee I Na unbuckled her seatbelt and reached for the door, Joo Won reached out and grabbed her hand.
“Wait a moment.”
He then paid the driver extra, asking him to drop them off right there.
Once the driver left, Joo Won got out first and opened the door on Lee I Na’s side.
“Oh! Uh… thanks.”
Still dazed, Lee I Na stepped out of the car—just as Jung Hoon approached, eyes burning with fury.
Jung Hoon stopped right in front of them, face flushed red and purple, glaring at the two.
“Hey! Lee I Na! After this, you still claim you don’t know this bastard? You called him that day too, didn’t you? Huh?”
At his audacious tone, Joo Won stepped sharply toward Jung Hoon.
“Whether it was that day or today, you really need to learn to watch your mouth.”
Jung Hoon glared up at Joo Won, who loomed over him and spoke in a low, biting tone.
“What? What did you say?”
Just as Jung Hoon looked ready to throw a punch, Lee I Na quickly stepped in front of Joo Won.
Jung Hoon fixed a murderous glare on her.
“Hey! What the hell are you doing? What, since you’ve been caught cheating, you’re just going all out now? Hey! You’ve been playing both sides all along, haven’t you? Tell me—how long have you been sneaking around with this bastard? Huh?”
Just as Joo Won reached out to intervene against Jung Hoon’s vile accusations, Lee I Na suddenly raised her hand and slapped him across the face.
Jung Hoon’s head snapped to the side, and Joo Won stared at Lee I Na, startled.
Jung Hoon, dazed, touched his left cheek and looked at Lee I Na.
“Did you just… slap me?”
He asked, eyes bloodshot with rage.
“Yes! I slapped you! I couldn’t stand another vulgar word spewing from your filthy mouth—what are you gonna do about it?”
Lee I Na shouted, her voice laced with fury.
Jung Hoon stood there, disbelief twisting his face as his lips trembled uncontrollably.

…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
