Date Me! (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 6
“Park Jung Hoon said he’ll pick me up for a week in case that guy shows up and causes a scene when I’m leaving work.”
Hyun Joo blinked and stared at Lee I Na.
“Why are you staring at me like that?”
“Didn’t you say he used to be really abrasive when he was younger?”
“I did.”
“But has his personality really changed completely? Is he now being this kind to you?”
“I was a little surprised too… but since it’s kindness out of concern for me, I decided to just accept it gratefully.”
“Well, of course I’m grateful, but…”
Hyun Joo, mid-sentence, propped her chin on one hand and fell into thought.
“Is he doing this purely because you’re friends and he’s worried? Nothing else behind it?”
“What else could there be?”
“Were you two really close back then?”
“Well… I tried really hard to get close to him. Later on, we watched movies together and became somewhat friendly… but right around then, I had to move down to Yeosu.”
“…”
Knowing exactly why Lee I Na had moved to Yeosu, Hyun Joo silently stared at her, then gently took her hand and nodded.
“…I see.”
Hyun Joo’s hand, holding Lee I Na’s, felt warm.
“Yes. Anyway, meeting again after thirteen years like this—as a real gentleman—is truly an incredible connection. So from now on, see him often and get close again. Just helping you already makes him a hundred-point friend.”
“Yeah. I will.”
Lee I Na nodded with a smile.

Nothing eventful happened while spending the weekend at Hyun Joo’s place, and she returned home Sunday night without incident. Thus, Monday arrived.
Lee I Na woke up early, finished getting ready for work, and slowly walked down to the first floor.
But the moment she stepped out of the villa’s main gate, she saw Jung Hoon leaning against a car and immediately frowned.
Jung Hoon, spotting her too, hurriedly dashed toward her.
Lee I Na tried to walk past without acknowledging him, but Jung Hoon grabbed her arm.
“I Na.”
At the desperate tone in his voice, Lee I Na bit her lip and looked at him.
“Aren’t you going to let go?”
When she spoke in a low voice, Jung Hoon’s lips trembled.
“I Na… I…”
Though he’d managed to grab her arm, he seemed unable to get the words out and took a deep breath.
“Let go.”
Lee I Na yanked her arm away and glared at him.
“I clearly warned you, didn’t I? If you contact me or show up, I’ll report you to the police.”
Jung Hoon let out a long sigh, ran his fingers through his hair, and looked at her with a serious expression.
“I Na… I think I must’ve really lost my mind that day from being drunk. That’s why I said things to you that I never should have…”
“You mean asking how many guys I’d slept with?”
At Lee I Na’s words, Jung Hoon bit his lip and lowered his head.
“What kind of lunatic asks their own girlfriend that?”
“…I’m really sorry. Even if I had ten mouths, I couldn’t say enough to make up for it. I really must’ve been insane that day. I won’t… I won’t drink again, ever. So please, just this once—”
“It doesn’t matter to me anymore whether you drink yourself to death or not. Don’t ever show up in front of me again.”
As Lee I Na tried to walk away, Jung Hoon grabbed her arm again.
“I Na! That’s exactly why I came here—to apologize. You blocked my number, right? You wouldn’t read my texts or messages, so I’ve been waiting here for two whole days… You didn’t even come home! Where on earth did you sleep?”
Lee I Na couldn’t help but let out a bitter laugh—it was too absurd.
“Hey. Where I slept has nothing to do with you. Why do you care?”
“How can you say it’s none of my business? I’m your boyfriend!”
“Are you insane? Since when are you my boyfriend? We ended that day—don’t say creepy stuff like that!”
“Who decided it was over? Just because you made a mistake with words, you think you can end things on your own?”
“A mistake? After saying something that crude, you call it a slip of the tongue? And do you not even remember twisting my hand and elbowing me when you dragged me away?”
Trending
Lee I Na pointed to her lips, still bearing marks from the incident.
Jung Hoon flinched and his lips trembled.
“I Na… Twisting your hand—that was because I was drunk… Anyway, I really was wrong. But the elbow strike… that guy suddenly jumped in! It’s not like I did it on purpose.”
“Who are you calling a lunatic now? If that man hadn’t shown up, you would’ve kept dragging me along. Because of whom did I end up feeling like a monkey in a zoo that day?”
Jung Hoon’s eyes suddenly turned sharp.
“You… are you seriously taking that lunatic’s side? Or are you actually involved with that bastard? Huh? What’s your relationship with him?”
The expression of someone tearfully apologizing just moments ago vanished instantly.
Instead, his eyes filled with suspicion and obsession, making Lee I Na break out in goosebumps.
“You… you’re really out of your mind, aren’t you? Now you’re even having delusions?”
Lee I Na took a step back, her face showing disgust.
At that, Jung Hoon’s eyes widened in shock.
“Hey. Why are you looking at me like that? Am I some kind of bug?”
As Jung Hoon took a step closer, a woman exiting the first floor of the villa glanced at the two of them.
She lived on the second floor and had exchanged greetings with Lee I Na before.
Embarrassed, Lee I Na turned her head and waited for the woman to pass.
After the woman looked at them again with a puzzled expression and walked away, Lee I Na lifted her head and stared at Jung Hoon.
“I have nothing more to say to you, and I don’t even want to see your face again. Don’t ever appear before me. Got it?”
Just as she tried to brush past him, Jung Hoon snatched her wrist.
“Are you really going to do this? Who the hell decided it was over? How can you treat me like this?”
“What? How can I treat you like this? How can *you* do this? Does the word ‘conscience’ even exist in your shallow brain? After saying trash like that and trying to drag me off, what makes you think you’ve done anything right to show up here first thing in the morning and spew nonsense? Nonsense?”
Startled by Lee I Na’s unexpectedly fierce cursing—something he’d never heard before—Jung Hoon hesitated and stepped back.
In that moment, Lee I Na yanked her arm free. Two passing men seemed to sense something odd and watched them closely.
“Do I need to scream for those guys to help before you finally leave?”
Jung Hoon stared at her, dumbfounded, as she hissed under her breath.
“Don’t ever show up in front of me again. I don’t want to see your face.”
Lee I Na shoved Jung Hoon firmly and walked away.
Jung Hoon watched her retreating figure, biting his lip in anger.

Feeling utterly tainted by Park Jung Hoon, Lee I Na barely managed to get to work.
But as soon as she entered the office, she forced a smile and greeted her colleagues.
Sitting at her desk and turning on her computer, she felt dazed.
She shook her head and stood up holding her mug, when the phone rang.
It was Joo Won.
Lee I Na hesitated briefly before answering.
“Hello?”
—Did you get to work okay?
“Oh? Yeah…”
—Nothing unusual over the weekend?
“Oh? Yeah. Nothing unusual.”
She swallowed the words “That jerk showed up this morning” inwardly.
She didn’t want to spread this filth to Joo Won unnecessarily.
—That’s good then. I’ll see you after work. I’ll head straight over once I’m done.
“Okay. Thanks. See you then.”
After hanging up, she felt strangely unsettled.
Though this was her first call with Joo Won after meeting him again after thirteen years, it somehow felt natural.
It felt as if they’d been in constant contact all along.
Lee I Na took her cup and walked into the break room.
With a morning meeting with HR and an afternoon meeting with department heads, the day flew by.
After 6:30 p.m., employees began leaving one by one.
Lee I Na was tidying up documents to leave when a message arrived.

—I should be there in about ten minutes. I’ll see you out front.
—Got it.
After replying to Joo Won’s message, Lee I Na shut down her computer and stood up.
Riding the elevator down with her female coworkers, she felt a slight twinge of worry.
She’d snapped at him so harshly—surely Park Jung Hoon wouldn’t be waiting outside the office, would he? The thought made her tense.
Fortunately, when she scanned the area after stepping out of the elevator, Jung Hoon was nowhere in sight.
Lee I Na let out a sigh of relief and bid goodbye to her coworkers at the main gate.
“Assistant Manager Seo’s boyfriend’s picking her up again today, right? I’m so jealous I could die. Seriously.”
At Section Chief Park’s words—a working mom—two other female staff members looked at Lee I Na enviously.
Lee I Na responded with an awkward smile, prompting the newest employee, Eun Jung, to say with a laugh,
“If I had a girlfriend as pretty as Assistant Manager Seo, I’d come pick her up every day too!”
“Oh, come on! Are you flirting even after work, Eun Jung?”
Eun Jung’s face turned red at Section Chief Park’s teasing, making her laugh “Ho ho ho!”
“Oh my, you’re too cute! That’s why you’re the youngest. Just kidding! Everyone in HR knows Assistant Manager Seo is gorgeous. Honestly, it’s not just our team—people from Sales alone have had their eyes on I Na!”
“No, Chief. You’re overestimating me way too much. You should hurry off before traffic gets bad. I need to head this way—see you tomorrow.”
As Lee I Na bowed to say goodbye, Section Chief Park waved her off.
“Go on, then! Your boyfriend’s probably waiting with his eyes popping out. Ho ho ho!”
Turning away with an awkward smile, Lee I Na sighed as she walked off.
When they were dating, Jung Hoon often sent her flowers and even snacks to share with HR staff.
Because of that, Lee I Na became known as the lucky girl with a “romantic boyfriend,” and her female coworkers envied her.
But since they didn’t know the terrifying obsession hidden behind it all, Lee I Na simply smiled whenever she heard their envious remarks.
Suddenly feeling a dull throb in her head and rubbing her forehead as she walked slowly, her phone rang.
It was Joo Won.
“Hello?”
—I’m here. I’m across from the bookstore. Black SUV.
“Really? Got it. I’ll be right there.”
After hanging up, Lee I Na hurried toward the bookstore.
Shortly after, she spotted a black SUV parked across from the bookstore.
And there stood Joo Won, leaning against the passenger side.
Unlike Friday’s hoodie-and-jeans look, he now wore a crisp black suit.
His tall, model-like figure shone even from afar.
As she walked toward him, she noticed nearby women glancing his way repeatedly.
“Well… If even I think he looks handsome, how must he look to you guys…”
Lee I Na muttered to herself, then suddenly froze.
Wait—what did I just say…?
Flustered, she touched her cheek as she approached. Joo Won, spotting her, took his hands out of his pockets and smiled.
“…”
At that spring-breeze-like smile, Lee I Na’s heart skipped a beat.
“You’re here?”
Joo Won stepped closer and looked down at her with soft eyes.
“Uh… yeah…”
Somehow unable to meet his gaze directly, Lee I Na answered quietly, lowering her head slightly.
“Let’s go.”
Joo Won walked over to the passenger side and opened the door for her.
“Oh… thank you.”
Lee I Na slowly got into the passenger seat.
Embarrassed by her own racing heartbeat, she gently bit her lip.
After closing the door for her, Joo Won returned to the driver’s seat.
“Aren’t you going to put on your seatbelt?”
Startled out of her thoughts by Joo Won’s voice, Lee I Na hastily fastened her seatbelt.

Watching her, Joo Won chuckled softly as he placed his hands on the steering wheel.
“Shall we go, then?”
At the slight upward curve of his lips and the sound of his voice, Lee I Na swallowed awkwardly.
“…Yeah.”
She quickly averted her gaze after answering.
When yandere male lead believes she loves him — but she never did
“How dare you!”
“How dare you make me love you, only to cast me aside as nothing more than a friend?!?
“I will never accept that.”
“I will never let you return to him.”
“Even if I have to burn myself to ashes.”
“Even if I must shatter my purity, my dignity, my very soul.”
“I will never let you escape me!”

This was the first novel that introduced me to the matriarchal genre. I’ve read it three times already!
At first, the male lead despised the female lead. Later, he misunderstood that she liked him, so he condescendingly and reluctantly reciprocated her feelings.
Then, he suddenly discovered that she was kind to everyone in the same way, and there was already someone she cherished in her heart, and that person was not him.
The male lead couldn’t believe it, he became angry and crazy. He was determined to capture her body and heart by any means necessary.
Synopsis:
Want to see how a green tea bitch male lead falls in love with the female lead?
Want to see how he flirtatiously pursues the female lead?
Want to see how he gets slapped in the face repeatedly?
The male lead is a green tea bitch, a poisonous lotus, jealous, ruthless, unscrupulous, with a venomous heart, and he’s also a delusional maniac.
The female lead is righteous, positive energy-filled, kind, a holy mother.
Let’s see how two people with extreme personalities come together~
