Captured into the Bedroom of the Enemy Emperor (1 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 22
Patricia noticed the emperor’s gaze lingering on her chest and blushed, covering it with her gloved hand.
“Your Majesty, please avert your eyes.”
“I’m trying to.”
The emperor took her hand again and stood in front of the guards lined up in two rows. The guards drew their ceremonial swords and raised them toward the sky. As they passed between the rows, the sound of swords being lowered in unison was heard.
While climbing the stairs to the main palace, the emperor tilted his head to look down at Patricia.
“My eyes are drawn there naturally. But you smell of roses, Princess.”
Patricia looked up at the emperor with a questioning gaze. Har Chen, maintaining an expressionless face, brushed back his front hair and turned his head forward. Patricia’s natural scent was pleasant.
“I’m not fond of perfumes. Don’t use them from now on.”
It was loud enough for Annie, who was holding up the hem of Patricia’s dress from behind, to hear.
‘How can he say such things so casually……’
Patricia suddenly recalled the kiss she shared with the emperor in Panaseong.
‘Right. He was a rude man. He did whatever he wanted.’
She realized that her state marriage partner was that arrogant Har Chen Eint Karl Berk.
Three women standing in the corridor bent their knees in front of Patricia and bowed their upper bodies and heads.
“We greet Princess Tane. You must have had a hard time coming from afar. Welcome. I am Isabella.”

After Being Cheated On, She Picked Up a Treasure (Female-dominant)
One-line summary: The husband I married on a whim had been secretly in love with me for a long time.
On the day when Jun Shao finally obtained the imperial decree for her marriage, Lan Qu, the person she had admired for six years, defied the decree and ran away.
Her gentleness and devotion, her promise of a lifetime together, were all disregarded by him. Instead, he dreamed of entering the palace to serve the Emperor’s sister as a sixth-rank attendant.
News of this incident spread throughout the capital, and the alleys in front of and behind the Lan mansion were crowded with people who came to watch the commotion.
Jun Shao should have been embarrassed and angry.
But someone stepped in to protect her dignity.
The figure was in a miserable state, yet still possessed an undeniable elegance and handsomeness.
The young lord struggled to climb the wall of the Lan mansion and shouted to her, “If he won’t marry you, I will!”
So, Jun Shao took advantage of the situation and married the person.
She thought the young lord did it to save the Lan family from the crime of defying the imperial decree, but never imagined that from beginning to end, what he coveted was her.
*
After the wedding, Jun Shao felt like she was living in a dream.
Her Wife-master was as beautiful as a fairy in a painting, skilled in the six arts, well-versed in poetry and literature, capable of being gentle and attentive, and also grand and dignified. Most importantly, she was the only one in his heart and eyes.
Jun Shao didn’t know how Lan Shiwu, as a illegitimate son without a father and blessed with beauty, had managed to preserve his purity, recklessly escape, and use his last ounce of strength to ruin his own reputation, all because of his love for her, just to stand before her.
She could only see him gazing at her with eyes full of love, and when she bestowed a name upon him, his eyes shone like stars.
“You have come to me like a weary bird perching on a branch. I shall call you A Qi.”

Re-reading this chapter, it made realize how little Patricia regarding her life compared to Patrick, all because of her guilt over her twin’s sickness which she assumed caused by her taking away his nutrition during pregnancy (in my opinion, it’s an entirely absurd superstition and baseless theory at best). Glad Patricia has come far by started relying in Harchen until she can trust him and vice versa.
Oh! Harcen made a surf board and have Patricia surfing at the sea? That’s so nice of him! If I were her, I too would be thrilled as I riding the waves.
Could it be the grave with the red hibiscus is the late Empress’ (a.k.a Patricia and Patrick’s mom) grave? Talk about cutting onion.
