Captured into the Bedroom of the Enemy Emperor (1 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 21
“How old is your younger sister?”
“She’s twenty-one, two years younger than me.”
Julia reached out and grasped Lena’s chin, locking eyes with her.
“By any chance, do you work as a courtesan in Oro Alley?”
Her frightened black eyes showed bewilderment, but no pretense.
“No. I do sewing work at Alice’s Dressmaking.”
The carriage arrived at Duke Leac’s residence.
“Good. Fortunately, you didn’t take after your father. Get down for now.”
Julia led Lena all the way to her bedroom.
“You’re fired.”
“What?”
Julia opened the console beside the bed and pulled out a sack of gold ingots. From the stash she’d secretly gathered from Duke Leac’s hidden passage, she handed Lena five ingots.
“Why are you giving this to me?”
“Use it to move house and get your mother proper treatment.”
Maid Lena sank to her knees at Julia’s feet, bowing her head.

My Step-brother Is Obsessed With Me (Female-dominant)
A gentle female protagonist vs pitiful in the early stage, and a sick male protagonist in the later stage
Cheng Songer transmigrated into the body of a vicious cannon fodder female supporting character with the same name as her in a female-dominant novel.
In the original story, the cannon fodder female supporting character was inhumane, committing domestic violence, gambling excessively, being lustful, and even wanting to sell her stepbrother to a brothel for money.
As luck would have it, she just happened to transmigrate at this time.
Seeing Cheng Qingzhi biting his lip, enduring the tears in his eyes, looking pitiful, her heart softened.
She stuffed the money back into the Madam’s hand and reached out to him.
“Brother, come home with me.”

Re-reading this chapter, it made realize how little Patricia regarding her life compared to Patrick, all because of her guilt over her twin’s sickness which she assumed caused by her taking away his nutrition during pregnancy (in my opinion, it’s an entirely absurd superstition and baseless theory at best). Glad Patricia has come far by started relying in Harchen until she can trust him and vice versa.
Oh! Harcen made a surf board and have Patricia surfing at the sea? That’s so nice of him! If I were her, I too would be thrilled as I riding the waves.
Could it be the grave with the red hibiscus is the late Empress’ (a.k.a Patricia and Patrick’s mom) grave? Talk about cutting onion.
