A Thrilling Divorce (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 2
So Myung was worried again today about Ji Sung coming home late. He used to look at only her, yet his indifference—going all day without a single phone call—was starting to leave a bitter taste in her heart.
She sat curled up beneath the living room sofa, lost in thought, then fiddled with her phone resting on the coffee table.
“Sigh.”
A sigh escaped her lips unconsciously. Whenever her heart felt heavy, she needed to move.
Her hobby was home gardening. Just looking at fresh, green plants instantly soothed her mind.
So Myung entered her garden on the balcony and gazed at each of her plants one by one.
Her skill was so impressive that everyone who saw her balcony garden couldn’t help but marvel. Every time the plants she cared for grew lush and vibrant, she felt happiness.
‘Right, his work must be really tough.’
She tried hard to comfort Ji Sung in her heart.
Looking at the plants calmed her a bit. She returned to the sofa and waited for Ji Sung. It was already almost midnight, yet he still hadn’t come home.
So Myung, tired, began dozing off. Then she heard the sound of someone entering the security code at the front door.
She had been sleeping with her head tucked under the sofa but suddenly jolted awake and got up to greet Ji Sung.
“You’re home?”
Ji Sung stepped inside and looked at So Myung.
Where was the woman he loved so deeply? Who was this girl standing before him in a wrinkled T-shirt and horn-rimmed glasses, looking utterly disheveled?
He kept comparing her to Ra Hee Chae, and the thought of spending his whole life with this woman sent chills down his spine.
“So Myung, even if it’s home, you really can’t dress like this.”
“What’s wrong with this? It’s comfortable. Were you busy again today?”
“Yeah. I’m going to shower.”
“Okay.”
So Myung walked over to the mirror hanging in the living room and looked at herself.
At twenty, So Myung had been brimming with confidence, feeling like she could do anything—but now, the woman in the mirror stood with a gloomy expression, constantly watching her husband’s reactions.
She shook her head as she looked into the mirror.
No matter how hard she tried not to, she couldn’t help feeling hurt by Ji Sung. Why had he grown so cold?
So Myung forced a smile at Ji Sung, who had just come out of the shower, hiding her sadness.
“You must be tired. Should I make you some honey water?”
“No, it’s fine.”
Ji Sung couldn’t look So Myung straight in the eyes because of what had happened earlier with Ra Hee Chae.
After all, today was the day he had completely betrayed So Myung.
So Myung found it strange that Ji Sung kept avoiding her gaze.
“Ji Sung, are you mad at me about something?”
“What are you talking about? Of course not. I’m just exhausted from work lately.”
“I see. Then go to bed early.”
“Okay.”
“Hey…”
“Yeah? What is it?”
“Tomorrow’s the start of my ovulation period, so if you can come home early, please do.”
“Got it.”
So Myung and Ji Sung got into bed. Ji Sung pulled up the blanket and turned his back to her.
No matter how much So Myung tried to understand him, even these small actions kept making her feel hurt.
He used to pillow her head on his arm until his arm went numb…
When she lay on her side, he’d hug her tightly from behind. Even in his sleep, he’d hold her hand and always waited for her to get into bed so they could fall asleep together.
She was utterly confused—was his changed attitude just a natural result of time passing, or something else entirely?
Ji Sung, apparently exhausted, began snoring loudly within five minutes of lying down. So Myung tossed and turned for a long time before finally falling asleep.
The next morning, Ji Sung got up before So Myung even woke, quickly dressed, and hurried out the front door. Even he, as a human being, found it hard to look her straight in the face.
After arriving at the office, he searched for the USB he’d put in his document bag, but no matter how hard he looked, it was nowhere to be found.
Ji Sung checked his suit pockets and even his pants pockets, but it wasn’t there. With a troubled expression, he called So Myung.
“Oh? Honey.”
[So Myung, I think I left the USB at home.]“Really? I’ll look for it.”

So Myung hung up and began searching for the USB. She checked his study, the living room, and even their bedroom, but couldn’t find it.
Sighing, she absentmindedly glanced toward the front door—and there on the floor lay the USB. He must have dropped it while leaving.
So Myung immediately called Ji Sung back.
“Honey, I found it.”
[Oh? Thanks.]“It was on the floor by the front door.”
[Right…]Ji Sung realized he’d probably dropped it while rushing out earlier.
“So Myung, sorry, but could you bring it to our company’s underground parking lot?”
“Okay.”
“Thanks.”
So Myung hung up with Ji Sung and headed out immediately. His voice had sounded urgent, so she figured she should hurry. She went to the dressing room, quickly changed into jeans and a T-shirt, and stepped out the front door.
She got behind the wheel and started driving. She felt happy, thinking she was helping Ji Sung.
When So Myung arrived at the underground parking lot, she called Ji Sung. Meanwhile, Ji Sung was waiting for someone near the emergency stairwell.
“Ra Hee Chae.”
As soon as Ra Hee Chae appeared, Ji Sung pulled her into a tight embrace.
“I missed you so much.”
“Oppa, this is the office.”
Ra Hee Chae tried hard to calm the excited Ji Sung. He was clearly completely infatuated with her. She smiled contentedly and said,
“Oppa, I have to get back inside.”
“Already?”
“Yeah.”
“Then let’s go to the café on the first floor. Pretend I’m just buying coffee. I want to spend even a little more time with you.”
“I have to work.”
“Just a bit.”
Ji Sung couldn’t take his eyes off Ra Hee Chae, acting desperately. He’d completely forgotten he’d asked So Myung to come, thinking only about how he could stay longer with Ra Hee Chae.
Meanwhile, So Myung kept calling Ji Sung, but he wouldn’t answer.
With no other choice, she went up to Ji Sung’s company lobby. So Myung, dressed casually and alone, stood out noticeably. As she walked through the lobby, a security guard asked her with a surprised expression,
“What brings you here?”
“Oh, um—Team Leader Ji Sung An from the Construction Design Division was supposed to pick this up. Could you hold onto it for a moment?”
“Yes, of course.”
So Myung grew frustrated—why wasn’t Ji Sung answering his phone? After handing the USB to the security guard and turning to leave, she suddenly heard people murmuring.
Curious, she turned toward the commotion and looked.
A man stepped out of a black sedan and headed toward the lobby. Employees began bowing respectfully.
He clearly held a high position.
Several men walked in with him. So Myung’s jaw dropped in shock when she saw him.
She’d imagined him as an older middle-aged man, but he looked far younger than expected.
He was tall, broad-shouldered, and walked with unmistakable confidence.
His high nose, sharp jawline, and jet-black eyes gleamed strikingly.
In a word, he was incredibly handsome.
So Myung found herself staring at him intently without realizing it—and their eyes met directly.
Feeling awkward in that moment, she gave him a slight smile and bowed her head in greeting.
Do Ha Cha, Managing Director of SS Group’s Construction Division, was famously known for performing his duties diligently despite his young age.
Professionally, his abilities received immense recognition—but everyone who worked with him found him intimidating.
He never smiled and never engaged in small talk with others.
Again today, he entered with a cold expression—when he noticed a casually dressed woman standing in the lobby in the distance.
Out of curiosity, he found himself staring without meaning to—and ended up locking eyes with her directly.
Surprised, he stood there speechless, watching her—when she smiled at him and gave a slight bow in greeting.
Without thinking, he gave a small nod back and quickly headed toward the elevator.
‘What was that?’

After Do Ha left, So Myung felt refreshed, as if she’d just feasted her eyes.
Then, as she stood by the elevator to head down to the underground parking lot, she saw Ji Sung walking toward her with another woman.
At first glance, the woman looked incredibly sophisticated. She wore a polished office outfit, her long hair styled naturally yet elegantly, and her beauty shone even brighter with flawless makeup.
Overjoyed to see Ji Sung, So Myung called out to him loudly without thinking.
“Honey!”
Ji Sung froze in shock when he saw the woman waving cheerfully at him from afar—it was So Myung.
Realizing the woman standing there was Ji Sung’s wife, Ra Hee Chae let out an involuntary giggle.
She was utterly startled—the reality was so different from what she’d imagined. Her confidence soared even higher; she felt So Myung didn’t even come close to her in looks, and it was almost laughable.
‘Is Oppa’s standard really this low?’
Ra Hee Chae quietly whispered to Ji Sung as she walked.
“Oppa, I’ll go up first.”
“Okay.”
Ji Sung approached So Myung and glared at her coldly.
“Let’s go.”
He pushed her into the elevator that had just arrived.
So Myung stared at him, shocked by his attitude. Ji Sung remained silent in the elevator.
Only after they reached the underground parking lot did Ji Sung finally look at So Myung and start huffing angrily.
“Ji Sung, what’s wrong?”
“You—did you come here just to embarrass me?”
“What?”
“Didn’t I tell you not to dress like that?”
“Hey! Ji Sung An, why didn’t you answer your phone? I rushed right over because you sounded so urgent! Didn’t you say to meet in the underground parking lot? And yet you didn’t pick up even after I called more than ten times—what’s your deal?”
“Just give it to me. Quickly.”
Even though he was in the wrong, Ji Sung shamelessly held out his hand.
“I don’t have it.”
“What? Hey! Seriously?”
Frustrated by Ji Sung’s attitude, So Myung glared at him and said,
“I left it at the lobby reception desk.”
“So Myung, please pay more attention to how you dress. I’m so embarrassed I can’t even live.”
“Are you embarrassed of me?”
“Ah—no, that’s not it…”
“I’m leaving.”
So Myung got into her car, slammed the door shut, and sped out of the underground parking lot.
“Jerk.”
He didn’t even realize how much she cared about him—and now he was ashamed of her outfit…
Lately, why did only painful things keep happening? Tears welled up in So Myung’s eyes.
Ji Sung was growing to dislike So Myung more and more. If she truly cared about him, would she have come to his office dressed like that? Of course, he had no right to complain, since he’d been so distracted by Ra Hee Chae that he’d forgotten his phone.
Ji Sung was now thinking only about divorcing So Myung as soon as possible.
So Myung returned home and headed straight to her sanctuary—the balcony.
She brewed coffee from her coffee machine, poured it over ice to make an iced Americano, and grabbed a book.
This was her routine whenever her heart felt tangled. Books were her best friend, always offering great comfort during hard times.
Her mind had been too chaotic lately. No matter how hard she tried to understand Ji Sung, she kept feeling like he was veering off course. She wanted to have an honest, open conversation with him about everything.
If they could talk—about what the real problem was, what his grievances were, why things felt so hard—she believed their relationship could become sweet and affectionate again, just like before.
She missed the Ji Sung who used to love her deeply with all her heart.
‘I wonder… does he even remember our promise today?’

Male lead is reincarnated to save his wife
I’ve also read this one twice already. The female lead is kinda soft and gets embarrassed easily—not really my type, but the plot is definitely worth reading. Hurry up and read it, y’all!

Intro
When Shen Yuan encountered Su Jin again in his previous life, she had already become the Prime Minister of the current dynasty. As for him, the former top young master of the capital, he had long since fallen into the abyss, becoming a singer on a pleasure boat.
After a song ended, he was redeemed and sent to the Su Residence.
Su Jin respected and cherished him, gave him a roof over his head, and bestowed him with warmth. Shen Yuan fell deeper and deeper, but before he could express his feelings, Su Jin passed away.
Shen Yuan died to follow her in death, but instead, he returned to when he was fifteen years old.
At that time, he was not yet engaged, and Su Jin was just a poor scholar.
Shen Yuan gritted his teeth, casting aside all his pride, and thought of ways to coax and entice her every day.
The colder and more indifferent Su Jin was towards him, the more proactive Shen Yuan became.
He was not afraid of being mocked by the world, only wanting to marry his Wife-master early, to hold her hand and never let go for a lifetime.
[Note: This story will not specifically point out the male lead’s reincarnation time point; it’s all in the details. Whenever you feel that the male lead is acting strangely, he has most likely been reincarnated.]
