In a cozy bar filled with soft, soothing music, Ji Sung and Ra Hee Chae gazed at each other with heated, smoldering eyes.

Ra Hee Chae, dressed in a sleek black dress that accentuated her stunning figure, looked more dazzlingly beautiful than ever today.

Her fair face, high nose, and clear eyes sparkled endlessly.

Yet Ji Sung couldn’t tear his eyes away from her lips.

As he stared at her moist lips, his heart began pounding without him even realizing it. Sensing his intense gaze, Ra Hee Chae gave a faint, knowing smile.

Her red lips felt even more alluring than usual.

“This place… it’s really nice.”

Ra Hee Chae broke the silence, eyes fixed on the city lights outside.

“I… you…”

“You? What about me?”

“I like… you.”

Without thinking, Ji Sung suddenly grabbed Ra Hee Chae’s hand.

“Oppa? What’s gotten into you?”

His breathing grew heavier. Yes—right now, he saw nothing at all around him.

He’d long since lost hold of his reason. All he saw was the woman standing right before him.

He only hoped, with desperate longing, that she would accept him.

“Can’t you tell how I feel?”

His voice trembled with excitement as he confessed. She looked back at him with an aloof expression.

“No, I can’t. We promised we wouldn’t do this.”

At her words, his voice rose sharply with frustration.

“No, I can’t hold back anymore.”

“Hold back what?”

“Let’s go.”

“Go where?”

“I’ll show you exactly how I feel.”

Ji Sung took Ra Hee Chae’s wrist, pulled her to her feet, and quickly marched to the counter.

“We’re in a hurry—please hurry up with the bill.”

He paid in a rush, like someone being chased, while Ra Hee Chae wore an expression of reluctant compliance.

But the corners of her lips betrayed her true feelings.

Trying hard to appear calm, she followed him down to the underground parking lot where his luxury imported car was parked.

“Oppa, could you let go of my hand?”

“Huh?”

“It hurts.”

“Oh… sorry, Ra Hee.”

“Oppa, didn’t we agree to just stay friends?”

She looked up at him with bright, reproachful eyes.

“Can you really do that?”

“What choice do we have?”

“Then we’ll make it work. We both know exactly how we feel about each other. Come here.”

He reached out to embrace her—but Ra Hee Chae gently sidestepped his arms.

“Ra Hee?”

Frustrated and deeply hurt by her evasiveness, he felt utterly let down.

“Why are you doing this? Can’t you see how much I want you?”

“Oppa, can you take responsibility for me?”

“What?”

“I don’t want us to be just a fleeting encounter. You mean that much to me.”

“I feel the same way—I really do.”

Ji Sung’s eyes wavered intensely.

He looked at her with such desperate, fervent longing that tears seemed ready to spill from his eyes if she rejected him.

“Oppa… could you leave your wife?”

Stunned by Ra Hee’s sudden question, Ji Sung fell silent for a moment.

“See? You can’t leave your wife. Then we can’t even stay friends.”

Seeing he couldn’t answer, sadness welled up in her eyes, making them glisten with unshed tears.

“Oppa, let’s stop seeing each other.”

She cast one last sorrowful glance at him—then turned and began walking away.

Shocked, Ji Sung immediately rushed after her and grabbed her arm.

“Let go. It’ll be hard, but I’ll try my best to forget you.”

Her voice trembled badly, choked with tears.

“Don’t. Don’t even try.”

“You should forget me t—”

Before she could finish, he pressed his lips firmly against hers.

Then, with burning passion, he kissed her deeply.

They held nothing back, expressing their feelings as if they couldn’t bear even a second apart.

The moment Ra Hee’s sweet lips met his, Ji Sung felt an electric shiver ripple through his entire body.

It was such an intoxicating sensation that pulling away felt impossible.

When they finally parted, reluctant yet breathless, Ji Sung gently stroked her face and spoke softly.

“You’re all I have. I’m sorry for making you feel insecure.”

“Oppa!”

Hearing the words she longed for, Ra Hee Chae threw her arms tightly around him.

“Let’s go.”

Ji Sung looked at her tenderly, walked her to the car, and gently opened the passenger door for her.

She smiled at him and climbed into the passenger seat.

Ji Sung soon got in as well. With a face flushed from excitement and joy, he pressed the ignition button firmly.

Meanwhile, So Myung waited anxiously for Ji Sung to arrive.

Lately, his frequent company dinners and late returns had her deeply worried about her husband.

She and Ji Sung had met during their university orientation—a classic campus couple.

So Myung had long, straight hair and a fair, pure-looking face; when her hair fluttered in the wind, every man nearby couldn’t help but stare at her breathtaking beauty.

Ji Sung was no exception. The moment he saw her, he fell head over heels in love.

Since they weren’t in the same department, he racked his brain trying to get close to her.

He even went so far as to join the exact same club just to be near her.

Through relentless pursuit, he finally won her heart.

But soon after, he reached the age to enlist in the military. Convinced he couldn’t possibly leave her behind, Ji Sung declared he would marry So Myung.

Though both were still young and faced fierce opposition from their families, Ji Sung’s evident despair—nearly falling ill from longing—eventually moved their elders to reluctantly approve the marriage.

So Myung had decided to marry him because Ji Sung had always looked at her alone and loved her deeply.

Ten years had passed since their wedding.

She’d never once regretted her choice—he had always been genuine with her.

By now, Ji Sung had graduated from a prestigious university’s architecture program and become team leader of the architectural design division at a major corporation.

Moreover, his mother came from an extremely wealthy family.

In short, Ji Sung was born with a silver spoon. Everyone around them envied So Myung, saying it was like watching a real-life Cinderella story.

She herself had majored in design in college and now worked as an interior designer.

Recognized for her talent, she was a successful career woman.

However, her mother-in-law, Madam Jung, disapproved of her—particularly because So Myung had been raised by a single mother and came from humble means.

Of course, Madam Jung considered it unrefined to bring this up openly, so she kept her feelings tightly suppressed.

Though Ji Sung earned more than enough for a comfortable life, So Myung didn’t want to give up her own career—she truly loved her work.

Yet even she carried a pain she couldn’t share with others: after nearly ten years of marriage, they still had no children.

At first, she’d assumed a child would come naturally and didn’t worry—but as year after year passed, the absence of a child became a heavy burden.

Already dissatisfied with So Myung’s background, Madam Jung began relentlessly pestering her about grandchildren the moment she learned she couldn’t conceive.

In truth, So Myung desperately wanted a beautiful child with Ji Sung.

Eventually, she made the difficult decision to quit the job she loved so dearly, hand in her resignation, and focus wholeheartedly on getting pregnant.

Side Story 2 Side Story 1

It was an enormous sacrifice—but shortly after she left her job, Ji Sung began to change.

She started wondering if she’d pressured him too much about having a baby and felt guilty. She was beautiful not just on the outside, but inside as well.

Her greatest strength, however, was her boundless optimism—as if some mechanism in her brain automatically kicked in whenever she felt sad or hurt.

She tried hard to understand Ji Sung’s behavior and even laughed off the harsh treatment from her mother-in-law, which others found unbearable.

Because, in her mind, she wasn’t living with her mother-in-law—she was living with Ji Sung, the warmhearted man who loved only her.

As long as her husband stood by her side, she believed she could overcome any hardship.

‘Yeah, he must be exhausted. I’ll take him out for some nourishing food this weekend.’

So Myung worried only about Ji Sung again today.

While she fretted over her husband, Ji Sung was in a luxurious hotel room with the dangerously seductive Ra Hee Chae.

So Myung had long since faded from his mind. He hastily tossed aside his bathrobe, revealing broad shoulders and taut muscles to Ra Hee Chae’s admiring eyes.

Who would ever believe this man was married?

Ra Hee Chae still remembered the day she first saw Ji Sung—it was in the office elevator shortly after she joined the company.

He had been almost exactly her ideal type.

Tall, broad-shouldered, and blessed with perfect physical proportions, his strikingly handsome features were arranged in flawless harmony—truly unforgettable.

Her heart pounded wildly, as if she were looking at a celebrity.

She asked a senior female colleague about him.

“Senior, who’s that?”

“Oh! That’s Team Leader An from the Design Department.”

“I see… okay.”

She was disappointed they weren’t in the same department. Just then, he turned toward her and gave a slight nod of acknowledgment.

Both her senior and Ra Hee Chae responded with polite smiles. For a moment, Ra Hee Chae thought he’d smiled specifically for her.

“He’s handsome, right?”

Reading her expression, her senior teased with a playful grin.

“Yes… incredibly.”

“But he’s totally off-limits.”

“Why?”

“He’s married—been married for ten years.”

“Wait, what??”

“I was shocked too! Who’d guess he’s married? Great background, excellent at self-care, talented… and apparently, super nice personality too.”

“Oh… I see.”

Ra Hee Chae felt like the sky was crashing down on her.

All because of a man she’d just met. She couldn’t believe how ridiculous she was being—but this feeling was completely new to her.

She wanted him desperately.

Ra Hee Chae had never failed to make a man she liked hers. Though she looked innocent at first glance, she possessed a deep, irresistible allure that drew men in.

Every man she’d ever seduced had become hopelessly entangled in her web. She was a master of the push-and-pull game.

Men always craved her love—but as soon as she felt he truly belonged to her, Ra Hee Chae would start feeling burdened and bored.

Then she’d move on to another man and begin a new romance.

But this time was different—she’d never felt this intensely before. Because she believed she couldn’t have him, she wanted him even more. He consumed her thoughts entirely.

Now, the two of them shared a bed, and he stared at her with an expression that screamed how badly he wanted her—his eyes fixed on her alone.

She trembled—not with guilt, but with overwhelming triumph.

He was incredibly handsome and sexy. Their breathing grew heavier and heavier.

He slowly moved closer and softly pressed his lips to hers. Then, gently pushing her down onto the bed, he approached her with sweet deliberation.

His body radiated such intense heat that it drove her wild. Holding him close and fully absorbing every sensation, she smiled like a victor.

Wrapping her arms even tighter around him, she whispered into his ear,

“You’re mine, Oppa.”

Regret With All Your Might (Completed Main Story)

27/12/2025
Side Story 5 Side Story 4

When male lead is the homewrecker

“I know she doesn’t love him.”

I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!

The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.

Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.

The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.

I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.

There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.

For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.

I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.

Here’s the story synopsis:

One-line summary: She is his lifelong obsession, to the point where he was willing to be a third wheel, scorned by society, just to wedge his way into her relationship with her fiancé.

Cold-hearted and indifferent female lead + Scheming and subservient CEO male lead

Intro 1:

“I know she doesn’t love him.”

With blood trickling from his clenched fist, Rong Xiu gazed at the woman before him, his eyes clouded with anguish. Hidden in the wardrobe, he had witnessed Fan Xia – the woman he desperately loved – in an intimate embrace with her fiancé. Yet his heart still yearned for her, defying all reason.

Fan Xia, the elegant and composed assistant, carried something mysterious in her eyes whenever she looked at her fiancé, Wen Lan Sheng. Strange occurrences began to surface – secret meetings with the young Gu Jin Yi, an unexplained withdrawal of 5,000 yuan… Then suddenly, her fiancé’s sister, Wen Jing, violently attacked her.

In this matriarchal society, Rong Xiu had risen to become the chairman of a powerful healthcare conglomerate, breaking through gender prejudices. But for the first time, he willingly stepped into the shadows as the other man, disregarding his friends’ warnings to become her secret lover.

Because he had discovered the truth – Fan Xia wasn’t the pure angel everyone believed her to be. And perhaps, he was the only one capable of helping her execute her mysterious plan…

Intro 2:

Rong Xiu’s biggest regret in life was missing out on Fan Xia.

He secretly loved Fan Xia for 7 years.

Watched her go public with her boyfriend.

Watched her kiss her boyfriend at their wedding.

Until that man blissfully nestled in Fan Xia’s arms, obtaining everything he could only dream of.

The crazy jealousy stripped away his hidden secret love, layer by layer, burning like wildfire.

Fan Xia, how can I have you!
