A Light Contract (Completed Main Story) - Side Story 6
Eun Hye trudged wearily up the hill toward her cozy little villa, dragging her exhausted body along.
Her mother’s relentless questioning about Yoo Gun—sparked by yet another disastrously failed blind date—had left Eun Hye flustered yet again today.
What ulterior motive could the CEO of a successful company possibly have toward her younger sister’s secretary, of all people?
Though she pitied her mother for jumping to absurd conclusions, Eun Hye couldn’t very well spill the whole truth either. She could only listen silently to her mother’s barrage of accusations.
Back when she’d nursed a painful one-sided crush alone, she’d occasionally let her imagination run wild, fantasizing about some ambiguous relationship with Yoo Gun—but that was nothing more than pure delusion.
Eun Hye, a staunch realist, firmly believed in the saying “birds of a feather flock together.” Didn’t even adults sing about it? People from similar backgrounds got along better and lived more peacefully.
She believed people should match in family environment, personality, ability, and financial status—though, of course, love had to be the foundation. That much was evident from her past relationships and those of her acquaintances.
Thus, the pairing of Jin Yoo Gun and Kwon Eun Hye—two people who differed completely in every way—was, quite literally, nothing more than a fantasy and nothing less. One shouldn’t even glance at a tree they could never climb.
Fans might fantasize about dating and marrying their favorite celebrity, but reality was cold and unforgiving. So Eun Hye steeled her resolve: she’d be content just getting to see Yoo Gun from nearby—and with that thought, she quickened her unusually heavy steps.
Frowning at the streetlight flickering for several days straight, she was startled when a familiar voice from the darkness grabbed hold of her attention.
“You’re late.”
Pop—the streetlight, as if truly broken, went out completely. Blinking in surprise, Eun Hye hurriedly pulled out her phone and tapped the flashlight button.
Yoo Gun stood right before her feet, slightly frowning from the sudden brightness.
“C-CEO Jin Yoo Gun?”
As if the light were too harsh, Yoo Gun gave a small downward flick of his hand. Realizing belatedly that she’d just shone it directly in his face, Eun Hye quickly aimed the light downward. Only then did Yoo Gun’s expression relax, and he looked at her warmly.

Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!

The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.
