Your Sweet Breath (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 7
“You must be possessed or something.”
At those words, Kang couldn’t ask any further and closed her mouth.
She didn’t know what had happened between them, but she felt it wasn’t the kind of issue she’d get an answer to from this man.
Just then, Sam Young returned, having gone to buy coffee.
Holding coffee for all three of them, he opened the backseat door and cheerfully said,
“Here you go, Kangsanies—your coffee.”
“…Who?”
“Our Kang and San. Hehe.”
Having already paired them together with a bizarre nickname, Sam Young beamed widely, showing all his gums.
While Kang scrunched up her face in displeasure, San, seated on the outer side, took the coffee and handed one cup to her.
Then, he gave Sam Young a light nod.
“I’ll enjoy it.”
“Good. Be careful—it’s hot.”
As he laughed and started to close the door, he suddenly paused, then looked intently at Kang and San sitting side by side.
Seeing Sam Young look oddly pleased, she grew uneasy again for no good reason.
What now… is he about to say something else…?
Hardly had the thought crossed her mind when he blurted out in admiration,
“Wow. Now that I see you two together like this, it’s like I’m walking around with two celebrities. You’re picture-perfect.”
That shameless idiot!
She’d endured his antics plenty before, but hearing him lump her together with Han San like that made her want to vanish from embarrassment.
Unfazed, Sam Young whistled cheerfully as he returned to the driver’s seat, clearly pleased with himself.
The moment he got back in the car, Kang immediately began pressing him.
“Oppa.”
“Hmm?”
“Be honest. What happened between you two?”
“What? What happened?”
“You met Han San alone, right? Did he catch you on something?”
Sam Young burst out laughing at her question and said,
“The only person with leverage over me is our landlady ajumma.”
“Then how come you suddenly got so close?”
“Oh, San came over to our place.”
“Not barged in, huh?”
Her follow-up question made him laugh again.
Even San, who’d been quiet, gave a small, exasperated chuckle.
Apparently, Seo Kang had completely forgotten that he was sitting right next to her.
“Don’t even get me started—he even brought Hanwoo beef!”
Sam Young claimed that on that night, he and San had shared Hanwoo beef and yuja tea, swearing brotherhood.
He’d always thought good-looking guys were too busy living up to their looks to be any fun, but with San, he somehow felt they could genuinely become sworn brothers.
“What? So you were bribed with beef?”
“Oppa didn’t see the beef—he saw San’s kind heart.”
At the mention of San’s “kind heart,” her expression twisted instantly.
Noticing her reaction, San merely shrugged lightly, as if to say,
‘I just wanted to get along,’ ‘That’s why I met him alone.’
Gently pressing the accelerator, Sam Young added,
“Anyway, Kang. Don’t worry. From now on, San and I will take good care of you.”
And he didn’t stop there—he deliberately continued,
“Come to think of it, you two are the same age, right? You should just be friends.”
“Forget it! We haven’t even known each other that long—why would we be friends?”
“Why not? It’s nice for lonely people to get close.”
“Who’s lonely?!”
Trending
She snapped without realizing it and turned her head away.
She felt like the only fool taking this way too seriously.
Unaware of her inner turmoil, Sam Young kept cheerfully chatting away with San.
Even as she listened, none of it felt real.
Because he sounded so…
so unlike his usual self.
It was even harder to believe than watching CEO Hwang, the notorious cheapskate, fall for something utterly unbelievable—Sam Young had so readily accepted San with genuine goodwill.
Yet judging by his reaction, there was no hint of forced politeness or discomfort.
…Could he really be possessed by something?
Remembering his grinning face as he handed coffee to San only reinforced that suspicion.
She sipped her coffee, lips barely touching the rim, when Sam Young spoke again.
“Oh, right, San.”
“Yes?”
“I just remembered—you skipped dinner last night and have been on an empty stomach all along. Are you sure it’s okay to drink coffee?”
“I’m fine.”
Kang kept her gaze fixed firmly on the scenery outside the window, but her ears perked up attentively toward their conversation.
For some unknown reason, the word “starved” had lodged itself oddly in her mind.
He asked again,
“There’s a place near the shop that makes great sandwiches—want to grab some later?”
“No, thanks.”
Faced with this polite yet firm refusal, Sam Young feigned a wounded look.
“…You’re really picky with your food, huh?”
Instead of answering, San just smiled faintly.
“Are you a picky eater?”
“I have fairly strong preferences when it comes to food.”
“What do you like? I cook well.”
Leaning back comfortably in his seat, San savored the silence for a moment after Sam Young’s question.
Though it was just a simple “what do you like,” he appeared to be weighing his answer carefully.
Propping his chin lightly on his hand, elbow resting on the window frame, San turned his head.
Then, looking straight at Kang, he slowly spoke,
“Actually… there is one dish I really like.”
“…”
“But lately, I haven’t had the chance to eat it.”
Feeling his gaze, she turned to meet his eyes.
His look was strangely ineffable.
“My taste’s gotten too refined because of it.”
“…”
“Nothing else satisfies me anymore.”
A chill ran down her spine.
They were just having an ordinary conversation—so why did an odd tension fill the air?
Perhaps because his words didn’t even sound like they were truly about food.
“So what is this dish you like so much?”
Sam Young pressed for an answer, but San remained silent, replying only with an inscrutable smile.
At that moment, the words he always whispered to her in dreams resurfaced in Kang’s mind:
“I want to eat your dreams.”
Her eyes wavered.
It was the moment suspicion hardened into certainty.
His earlier remark—about not having eaten his favorite thing lately—
“…”
suddenly took on an entirely different meaning.

Her chest tightened until she could barely breathe.
Kang quickly broke her fixed gaze and hurriedly rolled down the window a little.
“Kang. Too hot?”
“No, it’s nothing.”
At Sam Young’s question, she shook her head as if to say, don’t worry about it.
The now-cool breeze brushed against her flushed cheeks and tousled her hair.
Yet the back of her neck still prickled.
Though her eyes faced outward, every sense had already shifted toward what lay behind her.
Oblivious to her turmoil, Sam Young cheerfully chattered on,
“Whatever it is, let’s go eat it together sometime.”
“What?”
“What do you mean, ‘what’? That dish you said you like.”
At his words, San smiled faintly.
“It’s not the kind of thing you’d share with someone else.”
“Oh, come on. Even a single bean can be shared—what’s so unshareable?”
“It tastes best when eaten alone. And besides… it’s probably not your kind of thing, hyung.”
“Why? Is it raw food? I prefer land meat myself.”
Raw food.
Well, if she had to define it, that would be close enough.
“Yes.”
It wouldn’t be wrong to say so.
Nodding briefly, he seemed ready to wrap up the conversation and added,
“How about later, hyung—I’ll treat you to your favorite meat.”
“Hey, why do you keep luring people with food? Makes me go soft.”
Finally satisfied, Sam Young quieted down.
By the time the car crossed the Han River Bridge, dawn was beginning to break.
Despite everything, sleepiness crept over her.
Her eyelids felt as heavy as stones, and she kept blinking slowly.
Her body was nothing if not honest.
“If you’re sleepy, why not nap a bit?”
San’s voice cut gently through her drowsy haze.
Still resting her head against the window, Kang only turned her eyes toward him.
“I’d like to sleep too, but I can’t.”
“Why not?”
“My dreams are restless.”
“…”
“I thought they’d gotten better lately, but these past few days have been brutal.”
She tossed out that pointed remark at his innocent-looking face,
expecting even a slight reaction if he were truly involved.
But he looked sympathetic without a trace of real concern—
as if wearing a mask.
Did he not know? Or was he pretending not to?
Just how likely was it that that face—so rare—existed separately in her dreams and reality?
As she pondered this, Sam Young interjected,
“Really?”
“What?”
“That it’s gotten better lately. I mean, did you really sleep without nightmares?”
Skeptical, he waited for her answer, and Kang replied,
“I still had them, but I woke up quickly. At least I got some sleep that way.”
“For real?”
ads
“Yeah. Someone kept showing up in my dreams.”
“…”
“That person always helped me wake up.”
She explained that after that, she no longer had nightmares and could sleep soundly—which made Sam Young’s eyes widen.
“Who was it?”
Hearing his question, Kang enunciated her answer clearly, as if to make him hear it again.
“There is someone.”
“…”
“A suspicious person—I can’t even tell if they’re on my side or not.”
Pfft.
A laugh floated in like the wind the moment she finished speaking.
Turning her head, she saw him already covering half his mouth with his hand, lips curled slightly—as if he hadn’t just laughed.
Seeing that, she wanted nothing more than to demand his true identity right then and there.
Instead, she bit down on her lip and averted her gaze, leaving it for another time.
In the distance, dawn was breaking.
Though still early, the roads were already crowded with cars.
Staring blankly at the Han River unfolding beyond the window, she heard San’s voice again.
“About that ‘accident’…”
Both Sam Young and Kang flinched simultaneously at the word “accident.”
It was a topic so sensitive for them that they reacted without even realizing it.
After all, the very person hired because of it couldn’t possibly be unaware.
Yet ignoring their reactions entirely, he pressed once more,
“Could I hear the details?”
“I thought you’d already heard it all from the CEO.”
She cut him off sharply—those memories were ones she didn’t want to revisit—but clearly, he had no intention of letting it drop.
“The CEO wasn’t the victim. And they didn’t even witness it firsthand.”
In fact, he acted as if he were prepared to dig up every last detail.
She couldn’t think of a good rebuttal.
The moment that day was mentioned, her memories had already begun rewinding against her will.
After all, the past one wishes most to forget always leaves the clearest scars.
His chilling voice was still etched into her mind:
“You smell so delicious to me… Just one bite—please, just let me have one bite.”
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
