Your Sweet Breath (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 15
The car headed toward an indoor studio in Gyeonggi Province.
It was because Kang had a photoshoot scheduled for her exclusive jewelry brand ‘Reina’s new collection.
After parking, the three of them walked side by side into the building.
Just as they were about to step into the elevator, Sam Young’s phone vibrated.
After checking the screen, he spoke to the two of them.
“I’ll take this call first. Can you two go ahead without me?”
Sam Young pointed to the elevator and told them to go downstairs, then immediately turned away to answer the call.
“Yes, CEO. Of course. We’ve arrived safely.”
The way he bowed so low it seemed his upper body might touch the floor made it clear it was CEO Hwang on the line.
His voice faded as it echoed through the lobby, and San and Kang stepped into the elevator first.
When the doors opened, she stepped out first.
Kang’s footsteps down the hallway were unusually light today.
“Did something good happen?”
At San’s question, she turned her head and smiled.
“I’m just happy because I’ll see a familiar face I haven’t seen in a long time.”
“A familiar face?”
“Yeah. The photographer handling today’s shoot is a close friend of mine.”
…I’d expected her to say it was because she’d slept well, but no.
Actually, what surprised me more was the fact that Kang had someone close to her besides Sam Young.
The entire basement of the building was occupied by the studio.
As she glanced casually around, she suddenly stopped walking.
She’d spotted the face she’d been hoping to see over at one corner of the set.
“Ivan!”
Kang called out his name and ran toward him, clearly thrilled.
The man, who’d just finished his call, welcomed her wearing a white shirt, glasses, and his long hair tied neatly into a single ponytail that reached his shoulders.
“Long time no see.”
It was photographer Ivan.
Though remarkably famous for his age, he’d known Kang for years and had collaborated with her on several projects already.
He was also one of her very few true friends.
“How have you been?”
At his question—asked as he adjusted his glasses—Kang nodded with a smile.
“Thanks to you.”
“Good. You look well.”
After this brief exchange of pleasantries, Ban quickly shifted his gaze away from her and checked his wristwatch.
“Shall we get started?”
He then glanced at the file he was holding and immediately brought up work.
“You’ve reviewed the concept file, right?”
“Yep.”
Since they’d worked together many times before, everything proceeded smoothly without a hitch.
After their brief conversation, the two returned to their respective positions.
Just then, as Ban turned to leave, his eyes briefly swept past San.
But that was all.
He showed no curiosity about San, didn’t ask who he was, and didn’t even offer the lightest nod of acknowledgment—as if San’s presence hadn’t even registered with him.
In contrast, San watched Ban’s every move intently.
His expression and gestures while talking with Kang, the way he meticulously checked each set detail, and how he prepared his camera before starting work—San observed it all.
Eventually, Ban stopped what he was doing and turned his head, unable to ignore the persistent stare.
San leaned against a shadowed wall, while Ban stood under the bright studio lights—their gazes clashed sharply.
It was as if light and darkness were facing off.
“…”
“…”

A heavy silence hung in the air, as if time itself had paused.
For a long moment, the two men’s eyes remained locked on each other.
A short while later,
Kang appeared in a pure white off-shoulder dress that elegantly revealed her silhouette, her hair neatly tied back.
Reina staff and studio crew, who’d been watching from a distance, all let out simultaneous sighs of admiration.
“Wow. I’ve never seen Seo Kang in person before, but she’s seriously gorgeous.”
“Right? The camera can’t even capture how stunning she really is.”
Since it was a jewelry photoshoot, the styling wasn’t overly elaborate—accessories needed to stand out—yet that minimalism only highlighted Kang’s natural charm even more.
San was also watching her from afar.
Just then, Sam Young sidled up beside him and nudged him lightly.
“Isn’t our Kang just breathtakingly beautiful?”
“Yes.”
The reply came instantly—flat and utterly devoid of spirit.
Though his dry tone made his sincerity questionable, Sam Young pressed on regardless with his effusive praise.
“Oh my gosh, how does she manage to stay this radiant even after seeing her every day?”
He grinned so widely his lips curled inward, nearly pinching his dried-out gums.
After hastily moisturizing his parched gums, he continued his shameless flattery.
“Did you know? Our Kang has beautiful hands too. Usually, for ads where hands are highlighted, they hire a separate hand model. But Kang doesn’t need that—her hands are just as beautiful as a hand model’s.”
“She really has it all.”
This response pleased Sam Young more than the previous one, and a broad smile bloomed across his face.
“Right?”
“Yes. Her face is beautiful, and her hands are beautiful too.”
“She probably even has beautiful internal organs.”
“That’s likely.”
Her dreams must taste delicious too.
She’s perfect.
San suppressed the last comment and let out a quiet chuckle.
At that moment, Ivan, who’d been talking with a Reina staff member, approached Kang.
“Ready?”
“Yep.”
“Good. Then let’s start right away.”
As he spoke, he naturally reached out and plucked a small feather that had fallen onto her collarbone.
From afar, San stared fixedly at the moment Ivan’s fingers touched Kang’s skin.
Frowning slightly, he turned to Sam Young.
“Is it really okay for a male photographer to casually touch an actress like that?”
“Huh?”
“I mean, isn’t that what stylists are for? Why would he personally fix something like that himself?”
“Oh, that’s nothing. They’re close friends.”
“It doesn’t seem like something even friendship would justify. It’s not like he touched her hair or arm—it was her collarbone.”
“…”
No response came back.
San crossed his arms, glared for a long while, then finally turned his head slightly.
There he saw Sam Young wearing a mischievous, sinister grin—as if he were about to tease him mercilessly.
Yikes.
Caught completely off guard by that bizarre expression, San flinched slightly in surprise.
Sam Young stretched his lips into an even wider smirk.
“Jin.”
…Jin?
“Seems you’ve completely forgotten about that little scheme you pulled—claiming you just wanted to hold her hand under the guise of a dream.”
…Scheme?

San’s face twisted at hearing such an outrageous accusation he’d never even imagined.
“I’m warning you.”
“…”
“Don’t you dare harbor any ulterior motives toward our Kang. The whole reason I got you two to become friends in the first place was part of my grand plan, you know.”
Oh dear.
What now? We’re at the point where I visit her every night and even tuck her in to sleep.
Inside, San fired back with a meaningful smile.
“No reply?”
“I don’t make promises I’m not confident I can keep.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“It’s just a joke, so don’t worry. There’s zero chance I’d ever see Seo Kang as a woman.”
Unless it was about food, that is.
This time, it was Sam Young’s face that twisted in dismay.
“Was that really necessary? What’s wrong with our Kang that you’d say you’d never see her as a woman?”
“…”
“Isn’t that exactly what you just said? ‘Don’t make promises you’re not confident about’?”
“…Then what exactly do you want me to do?”
First you say don’t harbor ulterior motives, then you scold me for saying I don’t see her as a woman—so which is it?
“If I’m not allowed to have ulterior motives but I still have to see her as a woman, are you seriously telling me to fall head-over-heels for her?”
At San’s pointed remark, Sam Young’s mouth snapped shut.
Though those had been his own words, he now clearly realized how contradictory they sounded.
Seizing the moment Sam Young was cornered, San pressed even harder, as if ready to shove him over entirely.
“And if you knew I was scheming, why didn’t you stop me back then? Or better yet—you actually encouraged me, saying something like, ‘Wow, that guy’s got real guts!’”
“Th-that’s! What if I’d poured cold water on it and made all three of us awkward? Huh? The mood would’ve been completely ruined! Huh? It might’ve gotten weirdly tense! Huh? You! You don’t understand what’s going on in other people’s heads! Huh?”
“I had no idea you were this lenient about such trivial matters. I thought you only spoiled Seo Kang like that.”
“I’m only this lenient with you! If anyone else pulled that kind of stunt, I’d have chopped their hands off!”
San stared wordlessly at the pouting Sam Young, then narrowed his eyes slightly.
“Why am I the only one you’re this lenient with?”
“How should I know!”
“Then why’s your face so red?”
“It’s menopause!”
Flustered, he blurted out the first excuse that came to mind and finally fled the scene.
San watched his retreating back in silence.
Before appearing in front of Kang, the very first thing he’d done was subtly influence everyone at her company.
Though he couldn’t fully control their consciousness, planting a mild hypnotic suggestion—just enough to make them feel favorable toward him—was necessary for his convenience.
Naturally, Sam Young hadn’t been an exception.
Yet the more he watched, the more he felt Sam Young’s behavior differed somewhat from CEO Hwang and the other staff members, who clearly seemed enchanted by him.
Generally, people who were easily swayed by others, lacked suspicion, or were naturally timid or emotionally vulnerable tended to fall under hypnosis more easily.
That’s exactly why he’d initially assumed Sam Young would be even easier to manipulate than CEO Hwang.
But now…
“Even when I think I understand, it’s still confusing.”
Something felt slightly off.
Was he truly under hypnosis—or not at all?
Or maybe—just maybe—he was so perfectly aligned with San’s type that hypnosis wasn’t even needed.
Though one thing was certain: he really hoped it wasn’t the last one.
Because apart from his objective, he had absolutely no desire to win over any male’s favor.
In the middle of the ongoing shoot,
“Hold on a sec—I’ll be right back.”
Ivan paused the shoot and walked over to Kang.
Just like before, he confidently reached out and personally fixed her hair without hesitation.

The stylist started rushing over, but Ivan gently raised a hand to stop her.
“No need to come. I’m done.”
After saying that, he turned back to Kang.
“You’re looking in great shape?”
“Yeah. Better than ever.”
“Glad to hear it. You must’ve had a really tough time after everything that happened.”
“I’m okay now. Thanks for worrying about me.”
Ban gave a light smile at her words, patted her shoulder a couple of times, then stepped away again.
From a distance, San watched the whole scene closely.
He felt the physical contact was becoming a bit excessive.
But it didn’t stop there.
Every time Kang needed to switch accessories—rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, watches—Ivan kept pausing the shoot to personally adjust her angles and poses again and again.
He could have overlooked something as minor as brushing off a speck of dust, but at this point, it was starting to grate on him.
After all, there was no telling what kinds of beings—skilled at hiding their presence—might already be stationed around Seo Kang.
‘But I can’t just barge in out of nowhere either…’
That would risk disrupting the whole shoot, making it tricky to intervene.
Thus, the first round of shooting came to an end.
Due to the intense indoor lighting, touch-ups were essential after such a long session.
While the makeup artist refreshed Kang’s look, Ban approached and fanned her gently with a sheet of paper.
“Hot under these lights?”
“Isn’t every shoot like this?”
“Should I ask them to lower the room temperature?”
“No, it’s fine. The shoot’s almost done anyway.”
Just then, San walked up beside the two of them.
In his hand was a thin file—where he’d gotten it from, no one knew.
A brief silence fell.
San crossed one arm, then lifted the hand holding the file with elegant grace.
He fixed his gaze steadily on Ban—and started fanning Kang himself.
Male lead is a Divorced Husband
She said to him: “Tell me, what makes you like me? I’ll change it!”

Liu Changning transmigrated into a female cannon fodder character in a female-dominant novel.
After reading the first half of the novel’s plot, the first thing she did upon transmigration was to divorce the Pan Jinlian-style male protagonist she had just married.
She indulged herself, pretending to be ugly and poor.
But as time passed, the way that man looked at her became more and more unusual…
Liu Changning was dumbfounded: Tell me, what makes you like me? I’ll change!
――
This lifetime, Pei Yuanshao was rejected by the same woman twice!
The first time, she drove him away. Forced by the situation, he endured the waves of anger in his heart, yielding and humbling himself.
That person lay slanted on a rocking chair, her sallow face emotionless: “If you don’t want a divorce, go cook!”
Pei Yuanshao’s face was dark and gloomy: “You!”
The second time, after the crisis in Jinling City was resolved, the new emperor sent someone to pick him up. He turned around, stammering: “I… I have to go. If you keep me…”
That person lay on the kang bed, her back to him, as if she had long anticipated this day, crisp and clear: “Goodbye!”
Pei Yuanshao was so angry his fingers trembled: “You… you!”
The mission of family and country made him restrain himself, averting his eyes and turning to leave this broken household.
Two years later, they met again. Seeing her ethereal face, his body shook like a sieve.
“She was originally a ‘she’!”
At the Qionglin Banquet, the top scholar of the imperial examination, a talented person with exceptional speech and conduct, all the unmarried young gentlemen from aristocratic families looked at her with shy and timid eyes.
The peerless imperial official Pei Yuanshao felt the anger in his heart erupt. He pointed at the woman surrounded by the crowd at the Qionglin Banquet, his thin lips slightly curled: “Little sister, I wants that person to be the wife-master of my Mingde Prince Manor.”
