Your Former Wife (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 2
Could this possibly be a dream? That was the first thought that crossed Seo Yeon’s mind after staying awake all night. It simply felt unreal.
After all, her husband had never been ill throughout their marriage, nor had he ever shown her a vulnerable side. He was so strong it made her wonder if his body were forged from iron. Yet suddenly, an accident.
When she came to her senses, she saw Sung Jun’s family receiving mourners with solemn expressions. Seo Yeon bowed her head alongside them to greet the visitors.
A man who had flown in from a distant country to see Sung Jun one last time was his longtime friend—someone Seo Yeon recognized from having met him a few times before. Upon recognizing him, Seo Yeon bent slightly to greet him.
“My sister-in-law… I don’t even know what words of comfort to offer… H-hic…!”
Just as he attempted to console her in a trembling voice, the man finally broke down sobbing. At that, Sung Jun’s family members—who had only just barely regained their composure—once again began weeping, one by one.
“…”
Seo Yeon was the only person present who hadn’t shed a single tear. Helplessly, she stood still amidst the others, their faces stricken with grief and tears streaming down. She was bewildered—and wanted to understand.
‘Why aren’t any tears coming out?’
A few hours earlier, Sung Jun’s lawyers had visited the mourning hall. Requesting a private conversation with her, they informed Seo Yeon that her husband had left her a significant inheritance. Originally, property division was meant to occur during their divorce, but circumstances had changed.
In her dazed state, she couldn’t recall the details clearly, but apparently, her husband—though in a coma—had briefly regained consciousness. At that moment, his very first act was to summon his lawyers and finalize his will.
She was so flabbergasted that no words came out. He should have used that time to say goodbye to his beloved family instead.

Afterward, Seo Yeon continued receiving mourners in a half-dazed state.
Though she couldn’t remember clearly due to the overwhelming confusion, she felt she’d heard reproachful, resentful remarks from her in-laws, questioning how she could possibly not shed even one tear.
There might have briefly been some commotion, too, because she couldn’t respond adequately or in time to her angry in-laws.
Still, Seo Yeon remained Sung Jun’s wife on paper, so she stayed in place to fulfill her final duty as his spouse.
Outside the building, a black sedan waited for her.
“Allow me to escort you, Madam.”
Seo Yeon stared expressionlessly at the man for a moment, then gave a slight bow and opened the passenger-side door.
“Madam…”
Seo Yeon turned toward him. After hesitating a moment while looking at her, he spoke carefully.
“Are you all right? Please try to stay strong.”
Yet his voice trembled even more pathetically as he said it. He had been born and raised at HanKyoung, growing up alongside Sung Jun—not just as a subordinate, but as someone who’d looked up to him like an older brother. Naturally, the shock must have hit him hard.
“Thank you.”
Bowing again, Seo Yeon added in a trembling voice,
“Please stay strong too, Driver Park.”
“H-hic!”
At her words, the man suddenly burst into sobs as if overcome.
Thus, Seo Yeon had to stand on the street for quite some time, comforting the grown man who couldn’t stop crying.
It had become her routine over the past few days—empathizing with and consoling Sung Jun’s acquaintances in their grief.
Yet even now, Seo Yeon couldn’t grasp the reality of the situation at all.
Life had been exhausting and draining; she’d grown tired of hoping for—or being disappointed by—others, and had genuinely wished to part ways with him. But she’d never imagined that separation would come through her husband’s death.
“Ah, Madam, we’ve arrived.”
Seo Yeon snapped out of her thoughts only after hearing the driver’s voice.
“Thank you. You’ve worked hard today. Please go on home.”
She had come to Sung Jun’s house to collect her belongings, which she hadn’t managed to sort out before their separation.
After sending the driver away, Seo Yeon once again stared blankly, half-dazed, at the building.
Though they’d slept in separate rooms since their relationship soured, she still couldn’t believe that the husband with whom she’d exchanged greetings every morning and evening, conversing regularly, no longer existed inside.
Nor could she believe she now had to enter that space—one devoid of Sung Jun.
After standing paralyzed with fear for a long while, Seo Yeon finally pulled herself together, opened the front door, and stepped inside.
Walking down the hallway, she stopped in front of Sung Jun’s study—the place where he’d typically spent his time at home.
He was the kind of person who couldn’t rest until he’d delivered top-tier results in every task he undertook. Perhaps for that reason, even at home, he rarely relaxed; instead, he’d usually continue handling remaining work. That was just who he was—her husband.
Occasionally, she’d brought him fruit or tea, but mindful of his dislike for others entering his private space, she’d never lingered long. Besides, being alone with him in the same room had always made her uneasy.
Now, with wistful eyes, she ran her fingers over the bookshelves he’d touched, and picked up the humanities books he’d loved reading.
Then, her gaze drifted toward his long desk—its drawer slightly ajar.
Approaching it slowly, Seo Yeon carefully opened the drawer.
Inside lay a metal box. As though entranced, she opened it.
“This is…!”
Her eyes widened in sheer astonishment.

There, inside, was an ultrasound image of her and Sung Jun’s baby. Her heart thudded so violently that she pressed both hands hard against her chest. Then, lowering her gaze again, she examined the ultrasound photo closely. Her eyes had already reddened from welling tears.
“How did this end up here…?”
A single night of mistake—but for Seo Yeon, an unforgettable night.
Her husband, unusually for him, had been thoroughly drunk. Seeing him so uncharacteristically disheveled, she’d felt a flicker of surprise. Perhaps that was why she’d found the courage to speak to him first.
What began as light, casual conversation soon deepened, and the boundaries between them crumbled in an instant. Their tentative first kiss quickly escalated into breathless, passionate kisses.
Then, like a miracle, an angel arrived.
Though she’d worried about how her husband—someone who’d always seemed indifferent toward having children—would react, Seo Yeon gathered her courage and told him.
—I’m seven weeks pregnant.
Hearing her words, he froze in place.
As if he’d just heard something utterly bewildering—or as if he were utterly shocked.
It was the first time she’d ever seen him like that.
His reaction instantly frightened her.
Was he, after all, displeased? What if he flatly said he had no need for a child?
“…”
Anxious and tense, her mouth went completely dry.
Unaware of her desperate inner turmoil, he simply stared fixedly at the ultrasound photo she held out, saying nothing. As his silence stretched on, Seo Yeon, now frightened, mustered her courage and spoke first.
—I know this must be shocking. I was deeply shocked at first, too. Still, this is our child, and I truly want to raise them well—to make them happy. So, Sung Jun, please do your best to cooperate.
Sung Jun, his eyes still wide with astonishment, slowly shifted his gaze back to the ultrasound image. Was she imagining it? To Seo Yeon, his rigid expression didn’t seem like shock at all—more like overwhelming emotion, leaving him momentarily speechless.
The unexpected child soon took on special meaning for Seo Yeon.
At first, she’d been dazed by the idea of becoming a mother, but gradually, imagining the moment she’d meet her baby filled her with pure joy.
Sung Jun, who’d previously been frequently absent due to overtime and business trips, now came home earlier and left for work later, spending more time with her. It was the most peaceful and happiest period of their time together as a couple.
—I’d given up hope due to my age, but thanks to you, I’ll get to meet my great-grandchild. Thank you, my dear.
Even the stern, seemingly unapproachable grandfather-in-law had been especially delighted upon hearing of Seo Yeon’s pregnancy.
Back then, it had become routine to hear envious, half-teasing remarks about how this man—who’d rarely shown warmth even to his own children—now treated his daughter-in-law with exceptional affection.
She’d believed their future would be filled only with happiness. But misfortune struck without warning: miscarriage.
Even now, Seo Yeon still didn’t understand.
Had she made a dietary mistake? Had she neglected her health? What exactly had she done wrong?
My baby… I’m so sorry. Mommy is sorry.
Guilt over failing to protect her child poured out in tears. Was this the feeling of one’s heart being torn apart? It felt as if a vital part of her body had been ripped away. The pain was suffocating.
—We can have another child.
Seo Yeon lifted her head to look at Sung Jun’s face as she released her sorrow.
—This isn’t something to grieve over so deeply. It was just an accident. So please, forget it.
His words—hardly comforting—offered her no solace whatsoever.
If anything, her sorrow only deepened.
Forget it? How could she possibly forget?
And the more he behaved as if it were utterly insignificant, the more resentment grew within her toward him. She even began to think that staying with such a cold man might suffocate her to death before long.
“…”
Seo Yeon’s gaze returned once more to the ultrasound photo. So many times had she looked at it that the edges of the image had worn down and become rounded.
Tucked in one corner of the box were the baby’s hanbok-style newborn clothes and socks—items the two had excitedly prepared together. Upon discovering them, Seo Yeon’s pupils trembled violently.
“You were suffering too.”
Her long-restrained tears finally slid down the length of her eyes.
“And yet, ignorant of that, I only blamed you.”
Male lead is reincarnated to save his wife
I’ve also read this one twice already. The female lead is kinda soft and gets embarrassed easily—not really my type, but the plot is definitely worth reading. Hurry up and read it, y’all!

Intro
When Shen Yuan encountered Su Jin again in his previous life, she had already become the Prime Minister of the current dynasty. As for him, the former top young master of the capital, he had long since fallen into the abyss, becoming a singer on a pleasure boat.
After a song ended, he was redeemed and sent to the Su Residence.
Su Jin respected and cherished him, gave him a roof over his head, and bestowed him with warmth. Shen Yuan fell deeper and deeper, but before he could express his feelings, Su Jin passed away.
Shen Yuan died to follow her in death, but instead, he returned to when he was fifteen years old.
At that time, he was not yet engaged, and Su Jin was just a poor scholar.
Shen Yuan gritted his teeth, casting aside all his pride, and thought of ways to coax and entice her every day.
The colder and more indifferent Su Jin was towards him, the more proactive Shen Yuan became.
He was not afraid of being mocked by the world, only wanting to marry his Wife-master early, to hold her hand and never let go for a lifetime.
[Note: This story will not specifically point out the male lead’s reincarnation time point; it’s all in the details. Whenever you feel that the male lead is acting strangely, he has most likely been reincarnated.]
