Kwon Seung Joo spoke sternly to Na Eun on the other end of the phone.

“I told you not to get involved in adult matters.”

An awkward voice followed.

“And… I regret it.”

She couldn’t take it anymore.

Eun Seo burst out from under the blanket, snatched the phone, and hurled it far away. Then, gritting her teeth and clenching her fists, she began hitting him wildly.

“There’s nothing you won’t say to a kid, really!”

It was strange. Until just a while ago, she’d felt so nervous around this man she could barely breathe—but now she was actually hitting him.

Maybe it was because she knew he liked her. Though he still wasn’t as easygoing as the eighteen-year-old Seung Joo, at least she wasn’t scared of him anymore. Even with his cold expression, she knew deep down he still found her cute—and that thought kept her from tensing up like before.

As expected, the man simply smiled faintly and obediently let her pound his shoulders and arms—until suddenly, when she struck his side, he groaned.

“Ugh!”

He quickly bit back the sound, but she could clearly see the pain twisting his otherwise composed forehead. Startled, Eun Seo stopped hitting him.

“What’s wrong?”

“It’s nothing.”

A sudden thought struck her.
