Ael had already been at the Altvea mansion for a full week.

The first few days were extremely tense—the atmosphere in the mansion was fierce, as a major incident had occurred during its first event.

The master of the mansion, whose arrival no one could predict, suddenly appeared, and even the Second Prince showed up out of nowhere.

The servants anxiously watched Calon, worrying whether they might have said or done something improper in front of those two that day.

But afterward, Calon gave no further orders and simply remained in his private quarters within the mansion.

More precisely, he was waiting for the young lady he had saved on the day of the event to awaken.

Ael regained consciousness only after a full day had passed, and the moment she opened her eyes, she bit her lips hard against the pain coursing through her entire body, tears silently streaming down her cheeks.

After Ael woke up, the doctor who examined her handed Calon a diagnosis report with a grim expression.

Concussion, fractured pinky finger, sprained ankle ligaments, insomnia and panic disorder caused by extreme stress, along with numerous other abrasions and contusions…

〈We might as well build a hospital.〉

It was almost unbelievable that a single person could suffer so many different kinds of pain and agony.

〈For now, we must be especially careful about infection from the wounds. The injuries from passing through the rose bushes are particularly dangerous.〉

As he said this, the doctor recalled Ael’s wounds.

The rose bushes had been planted both for ornamental purposes and as a security measure. Even small wild animals found them so painful they couldn’t easily get through—but an adult woman had forced her way inside through them.

Just looking at the puncture and scratch wounds was enough to make one wince in sympathy; they were truly horrifying and gruesome.
