After letting Kang Hyun and Ji An enter first, Seok Won, who had been spending time outside the event hall, spotted a familiar-colored sedan and walked toward it.

Brushing aside the staff member who tried to escort him, Seok Won instead opened the rear door himself.

“Director Do!”

As soon as the door opened, Yeon Ju jumped out and grabbed his firm arm.

“What on earth are you wearing?”

“What do you think? Not bad, right? Don’t even get me started—I’d had my eye on two dresses since last week! But that lunatic Tae Kang Hyun swept them both up, saying they were for Ji An—not Seo Yoon! I really should’ve switched boutiques earlier. You just can’t compete with chaebols.”

The dress Yeon Ju had chosen, after Kang Hyun had taken all her clothes, was a sparkly off-shoulder number.

“It’s cold out. Don’t you have a jacket?”

“Oh, my coat! I left it in the car.”

Seok Won sighed, turned his head briefly, and then took off his suit jacket, forcing it over her shoulders.

He didn’t want her wandering around with her sharp collarbones and rounded shoulders so fully exposed.

“What’s this, Do Seok Won? You’re surprisingly conservative. I thought you didn’t like me. Then why take off your coat for a woman you dislike?”

He’d only ever said he didn’t want to see her—not that he disliked her—but Seok Won didn’t bother repeating that now.

He intended to help her move on after these three dates.

“I’d take off my coat for any woman I dislike.”
