Who Spent the Night with the Tower Master (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 23
Kill her.
It felt as though the lingering spirit of his already-departed master was crying out those very words.
Gibnen undid a couple of buttons neatly fastened all the way up to his collar.
His master had earnestly urged him to consider that proposal—perhaps now was indeed the right moment.
‘Should I kill her?’
Gibnen gazed at Riley, lost in thought, and pondered.
From the start, his master had given him two choices: either take responsibility for Lianster’s daughter or kill her outright.
The decision rested entirely in Gibnen’s hands; his master had merely presented the options without forcing any particular choice.
Truthfully, his initial plan had simply been to bring her here—he hadn’t thought much beyond that.
If he were to kill her, he’d keep her close until he could quietly dispose of her, disguised as an accident. If he kept her alive beside him, that wouldn’t be so bad either—as long as she didn’t become tiresome.
After all, she was the child of Archmage Lianster—a flawless match for the Lianster household simply by virtue of her bloodline.
Treating her kindly and lavishing attention on her was merely a strategy for future convenience.
It would be troublesome if she tried to run away on her own. But if she willingly fell in love and saw the predator’s den as her own sanctuary, what could be more convenient than that?
“What are you thinking about?”
The innocent lamb, oblivious to everything, asked with a guileless face. What am I thinking about? Well, I suppose I should answer: I’m wondering whether I should kill you or spare you.

She turned around upon hearing the noise.
He looked up at her, his eyebrows drooping: “My hand… has no strength.”
“Shall I… feed you?” she asked tentatively.
He opened his mouth cheerfully: “Ah—”
Thinking she was drowning, he jumped in without hesitation to save her, but nearly drowned himself. In the end, it was she who swam over to rescue him, giving him air underwater.
After emerging from the water, his ear tips turned red. He lightly brushed his cheek, tucking his sideburns behind his ear, revealing delicate, pink-tinged ear tips. He lowered his gaze, too embarrassed to look at her.
Xin Jiao Zhou: He’s truly beautiful, kind-hearted, and adorable.
