Seizing the opening, Ethan darted forward swiftly. His fist struck the boy squarely between the eyes, and his knee jabbed hard into the stomach. The squire collapsed without even a cry, writhing on the ground like a worm.
Beside her, Dwayne grinned broadly and whispered,
“That’s Tommy—the one who’s always bullied Ethan the most. Just a few days ago, during sparring, he kicked Ethan’s foot so hard it nearly broke his ankle.”
