Sally patted Amy’s back in relief and snatched the fish from her hands. Amy pretended to be crestfallen and shuffled backward. Watching them carefully, Babe quickly took the spot beside Sally. The two sat side by side, beginning to scale and gut the fish.

Amy plopped down onto the uneven wooden chair placed in front of the house. After idly fanning herself for a moment, she suddenly clenched her teeth as a thought struck her.
