“Hey, you can’t just barge in like this without permission!”

“Even after two years, the Countess’s tone is still as fierce as ever.”

I stepped aside to avoid being pushed by the man as he strode into my house.

Two years? So, he’s someone I met two years ago… What had Louijet been up to then?

Mud from his boots marked the floor, irritating me. After struggling all day with childcare and finally finding time to clean the house last night, seeing someone carelessly track in dirt was infuriating.

Regardless, the man looked around the house and headed towards the table in the living room, acting as if he owned the place.

Who does he think he is? It doesn’t seem like he’ll leave anytime soon, so I closed the door.

But who is this man, really? Is he a character from the original story? Since I know the content of the original, maybe I can recognize him if he’s a character from there.
Alright, let’s think. Two years ago, Celeste had a lover. The handsome Grand Duke Franz Albrecht Toskur, with golden hair and ashen eyes. His name was too long to remember easily, but he was known as Duke Toskur, the ultimate villain in the novel.

I murmured the name quietly, wondering if it could be him, but upon closer inspection, this man was not blonde.

Jet black hair. And his eyes were far from ashen. So, it’s not Franz. Then, who among Celeste’s acquaintances had black hair?

“You’ve succeeded in irritating me by calling that name, Countess.”

The man stopped in his tracks and turned around, his brows deeply furrowed.

Clearly, he was not Franz, and it seemed he didn’t get along with Franz either.

The man looked displeased as he gestured with his chin for me to come closer.

Pretending to approach him, I narrowed my eyes and observed him carefully.

His neatly combed black hair slightly covered his forehead. His eyebrows, the same black as his hair, were prominent, either due to the bone structure or the depth of his eyes. The dense eyebrows created a shadow that made his face appear even sharper.

Long eyelashes sparkled as they caught the sunlight streaming through the window opposite. Below them, his enigmatic teal eyes were captivating.

His black uniform suited his skin tone well. Broad shoulders and a solid chest tapered down to long, slender legs. The man looked like a figure out of a painting.

I paused, trying to recall any characters from the novel. In the story, detailed physical descriptions were usually reserved for the main characters or significant supporting characters. Among them, someone with black hair and teal eyes, and who also had a bad relationship with Franz…

…Could only be the protagonist.

That meant. The original male protagonist who executed Celeste and defeated Franz, ending up on the throne himself, had black hair and blue eyes.

Karl Ludwig Johann Albrecht.

He was the Grand Duke of Otaka, the young Emperor’s cousin, and a typical powerful male protagonist who purged Celeste and Franz, eventually ascending to the throne himself.

But why was he here?
