Ga Eul, who had just gotten off the bus, began walking as if she were floating. She didn’t even notice the heat—it was just that hot these days, and that’s how Ga Eul had been lately.

She’d finally heard the President say he liked her. She’d resumed her studies. Money worries were no longer an issue. There was simply no way she *couldn’t* feel like she was drifting on air.

She still had some debts left to repay, but if she lived frugally, she felt she could settle them soon enough. That was precisely why Ga Eul—despite being a Gangnam building owner—still rode the bus everywhere.

Right now, Ga Eul was on her way to Gi Dae Woong’s office. Lawyer Jeong Se Hyun had told her to come there, saying he had something to discuss regarding the Taean hotel site.

Thanks to this, she would finally see the President for the first time since returning from her vacation—this President, who had been avoiding her ever since confessing his feelings.

When he returned from the trip, the President had told Ga Eul not to come into the office anymore. His stated reason was that she’d be busy once she resumed school, but Ga Eul sensed he was avoiding her.

And she was right. Every time she tried visiting him, the President would panic and say it was impossible. Even when she asked to meet, he’d brush her off with flimsy, noncommittal excuses.

Apparently, he was determined to stick to his earlier suggestion—to postpone dating. Since Ga Eul had made it crystal clear she had no intention of doing that, he’d chosen instead to avoid her entirely.

In any case, the semester quickly began, and Ga Eul was too busy adjusting to school life to do anything else. As a result, though she knew the President’s situation, she had no choice but to “neglect” it for the time being.

But today—finally—she would meet the President. Ga Eul was thrilled at the thought of settling things once and for all and officially starting a relationship with him today.

Though there was still plenty of time before their appointment, Ga Eul quickened her pace.

She also had something important to tell him: Woo Jin had asked her to convey his gratitude on his behalf. It turned out the President was the one who’d rescued the drunken Woo Jin from the police station on the final night at the resort and taken him to the hospital.

“He’s unexpectedly thoughtful!”

Ga Eul murmured to herself as she walked.

When she reached the office area, she headed to a café to buy coffee. Now she could afford to buy coffee without worrying—after all, she *was* a Gangnam building owner. But a note on the café door read: “Closed today due to unforeseen circumstances.”
