“Why isn’t he coming down yet?”
Ga Eul kept grumbling as she repeatedly glanced up toward the second floor. It wasn’t as if things would be settled just by the President coming down alone.
Ga Eul was waiting in the office for the President, Gyeo Wool, and Jeong Se Hyun. Today was the day Ga Eul and Gyeo Wool were scheduled to formally greet their maternal relatives.
Chairman Oh Gyu Baek had invited Gi Dae Woong and Jeong Se Hyun as well, citing gratitude for their help with Ga Eul and Gyeo Wool.
Dae Woon and Se Hyun accepted the invitation to go and support Ga Eul and Gyeo Wool. The four planned to gather at the office first, then depart together for Chairman Oh’s residence.
Ga Eul arrived first. Since Gyeo Wool, a high school senior, still had Saturday classes, she’d agreed to come to the office after finishing her morning lessons.
Jeong Se Hyun arrived before the President—even though the President lived practically right next door—having only a short distance to cover to reach the office.
“Shall I get you some coffee?”
“No, thank you. I doubt you even know how to make it.”
Se Hyun declined with a faint smile. Ga Eul, feeling embarrassed, also gave a nervous chuckle—apparently Se Hyun had already heard about what she’d done to Jung Mi Oh.
“I’m truly sorry for that incident back then. I’ve firmly warned Mi Oh, so she won’t come here again to trouble you, Ga Eul.”
“I don’t really recall being troubled, though.”
Aside from having heard that the President had a fiancée. Still, since hearing that didn’t actually distress her, she didn’t consider it harassment—though admittedly, her attitude toward the President afterward hadn’t remained quite the same as before.
“Mi Oh may be headstrong, but she’s not a bad person. She probably just wanted to see what kind of person Dae Woon likes.”
Ga Eul simply nodded. It seemed their way of defining a “bad person” was rather unique—perhaps because they spent their lives standing above others.
