The success of the three-year project changed many things.

First of all, Lee Kwang Il had become able—albeit clumsily—to handle paperwork in the office. The problem was that he was now lumped together with Oh Geun Seok. No, to be precise, it was more like a “buy one, get one free” deal.

Anyway, Lee Kwang Il picked up a fax that had just arrived—and his expression instantly twisted.

It was a hospital treatment record. Technically, if someone got injured on the job, they should file the claim through the office. The issue, however, was that the person who sent this treatment record was Kwon Gi Ju.

When you regularly do physically demanding work, you inevitably become something of a semi-expert on injuries—and this condition looked serious enough to warrant several days of bed rest.

Yet Kwon Gi Ju had only received basic emergency treatment and immediately informed them he’d be returning straight to the site.

Lee Kwang Il frantically called him, but the reply he got was simply, “It’s possible.” No amount of arguing would make a difference.

In the end, the call ended without any resolution.

Lee Kwang Il slumped into his chair and clutched his head in frustration.

What a lunatic. Is he so desperate to die he’s lost his mind?

“Now that you’re fed and warm, you’ve really crossed the line, haven’t you?”

At Oh Geun Seok’s voice, Kwang Il lifted his head. Geun Seok tossed the meeting notes onto the desk with a thud and added,

“What’s wrong? Why not just spread a blanket out in the office and catch some sleep?”

“It’s not like that.”

Lee Kwang Il abandoned all attempts at keeping a straight face and snapped back sullenly.
