“Ah, I think I can skip the false eyelashes.”

Eun Chae said this while feeling the busy hands moving over her face. The shop staff, who had been holding individual lash strips, put them back down and agreed that her natural lashes were already long enough with just curling.

Eun Chae simply gave a faint smile and nodded slightly without explaining further. Her graduation recital was finally here, and she didn’t want anything that might feel heavy or bothersome around her eyes.

Still, she wanted to shine on stage, so Eun Chae checked her makeup in the mirror.

Her features were already sharp and defined, so she hadn’t used much contouring, but she liked the elegant, barely-there makeup look. Matching it, she chose a sheer lip gloss that let the natural color show through, then blankly stared at her evenly glistening lips.

‘Why don’t you try doing to me what you did with that bastard?’

Han Seung Yoon’s crazy words echoed in her ears. And the image of herself hesitating even for a moment because of those crazy words appeared before her eyes. What would have happened if she had actually accepted that offer?

A kiss with another man.

It would have been obvious. Meaningless, and she probably wouldn’t have felt anything.

Even if she had done it, nothing would have changed, so she didn’t even try to deeply understand Han Seung Yoon’s intentions. It would have been no different from putting her mouth on some random object lying around.

Thinking that way might make it seem like she could do it casually, but unless it was Kwon Gi Ju’s scent and lips, it wouldn’t feel like “nothing” to her.

She would have felt like throwing up. Even if it was an emotionless object, putting something that had been rolling on the floor into her mouth would still feel dirty.

The moment Han Seung Yoon’s scandal broke, he ended up with no cards left to play, but finishing it with a threat had been the right move. Judging by his final expression, it seemed to have worked—fortunately.

Though he would probably still show up to the graduation recital. She briefly wondered what meaning that could possibly have, then let it go.

There was no meaning between them anymore. If she tried to interpret it at all, it seemed he was planning to go all-in by accepting reality, but the timing was off.
