Three years later.

The tulips Eun Jung painstakingly planted in winter bloomed eagerly as soon as spring arrived.

Eun Jae and Na Rim sat at a garden table surrounded by vividly colorful tulips, enjoying a leisurely tea time. Though they were sister-in-law and brother-in-law, they were the same age and got along like close friends. Amid the fragrant tulip scent, the rich aroma of coffee wafted through the air.

“Please pass on my heartfelt congratulations on his election to city council.”

“Thank you—I’ll be sure to let him know.”

Three winters ago, Na Rim had married Tae Gyu and moved into his family home. The following year, Mi Na was born—a true “honeymoon baby.” Her large, round eyes, reminiscent of a puppy’s, were unmistakably Na Rim’s.

“It looks like Mi Na absolutely adores Seon Jae.”

“To me, it seems more like Seon Jae is the one chasing after Mi Na.”

When Seon Woo blew a puff of soap bubbles, Seon Jae hopped across the green lawn, popping them one by one. Tae Gyu barely managed to catch Mi Na as she wobbled after Seon Jae and nearly tumbled over, letting out a relieved sigh.

The scene looked like a painting—or perhaps a still from a movie.

“Oh, right—you mentioned you had an important contract signing today?”

“Yeah. My schedule’s packed, so I probably won’t be back until late tonight. Is that okay?”

“Of course—it was tough for you last time, handling Mi Na all alone. Today, I’ll take care of Seon Jae.”

“Thanks. Having you around gives me such peace of mind.”

“Same here.”
