Leaving Eun Jae, who was sound asleep, Seon Woo descended to the first floor and sensed something unusual in his body, pressing his hand to his forehead. As expected, the spot his hand touched felt hot.

He opened the garage door, easily located the box inside, and pulled out the Rabbit Plush.
With the back of his hand, he roughly wiped off the white dust settled on a nearby pile of books, sat down on it as if it were a chair, and stared blankly at the Rabbit Plush cradled in his hands.
Only now did he notice — aside from the color, everything about the plush, from its material to the pattern on its clothes, unmistakably matched the Teddy Bear, clearly meant to be a pair.
His hands, which had never trembled even before critical surgeries, were now slick with sweat.
Taking a deep breath, he gently felt around the rabbit’s belly. As anticipated, something firm was hidden inside.
