The alarm signaling 6 a.m. rang.

Eun Jae instinctively turned her head the moment she opened her eyes, wanting to see his face, still fast asleep.

“Huh? You’re already awake?”

Blinking a few times, Eun Jae stared at the empty space beside her.

Seon Woo was gone.

She ran her hand over the white sheets, then abruptly sat up.

The room was silent. Judging by the lack of any sound, he didn’t seem to be showering in the bathroom either.

Rubbing her head, Eun Jae stepped out into the living room—then paused mid-step. Seon Woo’s feet were poking out from the edge of the sofa.

Wearing a puzzled expression, she slowly rounded the corner. Seon Woo lay neatly asleep on the sofa.

“Why are you here?”

Still half-asleep and clearly confused, Eun Jae scratched her head, glancing back and forth between Seon Woo and the wall clock.

You’re supposed to be waking up right about now.

His face, bathed in the cool light of early dawn, somehow looked weary—which made her hesitate: Should she wake him or let him sleep?

Her hesitant fingertips reached toward his slightly furrowed brow. Pressing gently, his frown smoothed out as if by magic. Suppressing a smile, Eun Jae murmured,

“Seon Woo, it’s 6 a.m. Time to get up.”
