Their acquaintances left with Ji Ho’s autograph on the paper they’d received from the restaurant staff. Even the employee who’d brought the paper over, upon request, didn’t miss the chance to get his own autograph. Now that the sudden encounter had ended, the four of them walked back toward their reserved room.

Ji Ho was still standing next to Hye Yoon’s father.

“You were startled earlier, right? … Sorry.”

The bold voice that had proudly declared “Our Ji Ho” was completely gone. Ji Ho walked beside him, head lowered.

“Why?”

“I said we were ‘our Ji Ho,’ as if we were super close.”

His voice, full of both deep regret and mild embarrassment, was unusually quiet. When Ji Ho lifted the corners of his mouth, the two women walking behind them barely held back their laughter.

The faint giggles behind them and the dejected profile beside him—suddenly, Ji Ho felt happy walking together under the name of family.

Because family should all be happy together. So Ji Ho sliced his own happiness right down the middle and offered half of it—with a pleasant voice.

“We can just become genuinely close then. I’ll come visit more often from now on.”

Curious about his reaction, Ji Ho glanced sideways and saw the corners of his mouth twitching slowly. His cheeks began to rise into a smile, but he quickly pulled his facial muscles back under control. This shouldn’t be happening—but Ji Ho kept finding him cuter and cuter.

“But we always seem to end up at fancy places. Next time, let’s eat somewhere more comfortable.”

“Sure. I’m fine with anything.”

The two men disappeared through the open sliding door, their satisfied expressions fading from view. Hye Yoon and her mother followed slowly behind.

“Still, your dad’s braver than he looks. And quite bold, too.”
