“Haaam……”

Hye Yoon sat up with a yawn no bigger than a fist. Her whole body ached as if she had the flu, and the fatigue refused to fade. Beneath her phone screen showing noon, two missed calls from Min Joo appeared.

And then came the heavy heart.

[Hye Yoon, you’re not picking up. I’m really sorry, but I don’t think I can go with you today. Would it be okay if I came two days later? I can still make it before Woo Jun gets back. (9:10 AM)]

“Of course it’s fine……”

Murmuring to herself with a gentle curve at the corners of her eyes, her fingers typed out a similar message.

[Aww, don’t be sorry. Don’t worry—take your time. You can even come much later. (12:05 PM)]

Since she’d already packed her luggage yesterday, there was nothing left to prepare. She washed and dressed slowly. After sitting for a while watching TV, she left the house upon Woo Jun’s call.

“You’re seriously bringing this inside to sleep too?”

As they stepped out of the elevator, Woo Jun scanned her suitcase with an incredulous look. The eternal mystery of women’s travel bags to men.

“Well… I just ended up packing all sorts of things.”

“You brought something as big as yourself.”

Though grumbling, Woo Jun quickly snatched the handle from her. After loading the luggage into the car, the two naturally slipped into small talk suited to the moment.

“Woo Jun, have you eaten lunch?”

“Not yet. Let’s stop by a rest area on our way.”
