Hye Yoon froze completely in place. Even though the math problem before her eyes wouldn’t register at all, she could still feel it—his gaze slowly traveling down her entire body. And she knew, closing her eyes wouldn’t make this go away.

A single strand of hair fluttering softly, the faintest whisper of an invisible breath—he was Ji Ho, who could read her just from these tiny things.

His voice flowed in, gentle as if soothing a child. It was already a resolved matter, yet he seemed determined to go over it once more.

Ji Ho smiled faintly. The weight of satisfaction curling at the corners of his lips made his arm, propped beneath his cheek, tingle faintly. It wasn’t a perfectly satisfying answer—but it was good enough.

How could she be so honest to the very end? She seemed almost too clever. Or maybe she knew just how pretty she was and acted like this on purpose.
