Just seeing the name lighting up the screen made his heart swell. After staring a little longer at the name he thought of dozens of times a day, he pressed the call button.

“You didn’t turn your phone off?”

—……Yeah. Almost done with work. Now we’re in the same time zone.

—How’s your stomach? You seemed to have drunk a lot.

‘Don’t worry. You were sleeping so quietly, I just covered you with a blanket and left,’ she said, brushing the whole thing aside as though there was nothing more to add.
