It was 4 p.m. when I stepped out after finishing my bath.

The sun still hanging in the sky warmly bathed the garden in light.

Unlike Jae Heon, whose skin gleamed like fresh leaves clinging to thick branches, Ra Jin looked even more haggard than before she’d gone in to bathe.

Jae Heon gently scooped up his wobbly, weakened wife and carried her toward the bedroom.

“It’s still too early to sleep…”

“Just lie down on the bed. You must be exhausted.”

Carefully laying her onto the mattress, Jae Heon propped pillows and cushions behind her back so she could recline comfortably.

She shot her husband a tender, sideways glance.

“You know perfectly well whose fault it is that I’m tired, don’t you?”

The steam-filled bathroom, the rippling hot water, and above all, Jae Heon’s even hotter body heat came rushing back with overwhelming intensity.

By the second round, she’d nearly passed out altogether.

She felt like calling Yoon Hee just to ask what on earth he’d been eating during his business trip.

“…Is there anything you’d like to eat? Should I bring you something?”

Guilt apparently gnawing at him, Jae Heon cautiously checked his wife’s expression before asking.

“Or maybe a massage? Should I give you one? No—better yet, I should call Mr. Myeong Woo and have a professional come over. Right?”
