Tiendavis - For Perfect Salvation (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 48
Cassel Montra, who had been shouting at the top of his lungs, suddenly fell silent.
At that, Ivy, who had been sitting on his back, stood up and kicked the man squarely with her foot.
Cassel collapsed right where he stood, as if he’d lost consciousness, and Sion, who had been watching the scene from afar, felt an odd mix of emotions.
‘I knew she wasn’t ordinary, but…’
I never expected her to go that far.
From the watchtower overlooking the hydrangea garden, Sion watched Ivy rubbing her foot against Cassel Montra’s back, torn between admiration and bewilderment.
Just a few hours earlier, Ivy had fainted from shock at Cassel’s antics.
Thus, Sion had naturally assumed she’d be utterly dejected when she woke again. When she bowed her head and her shoulders trembled, he was certain she was crying.
But when Ivy lifted her head again, not only was she not crying—her face was filled with venom as she immediately asked for pen and paper. Then, as if pouring out her grudge, she began furiously scribbling something down.
Holding a fountain pen, Ivy muttered phrases like “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a blow to the back for a blow to the back” and “a storm of blood will blow tonight,” while giving a sinister laugh. Sion kept watching her, wondering what on earth she was planning.
Yet after that, Ivy gave Sion no room whatsoever to interfere.
Instead, the moment she finished drafting her documents, she bowed deeply to Sion in gratitude for his help. Then, stepping on chairs and furniture, she crawled laboriously into the secret passage in the ceiling—leaving Sion’s absentmindedly outstretched hand hanging in embarrassment—and returned alone to her own room.
Thus, Sion was left utterly alone, plagued by a strange sense of alienation.
Until now, any issue arising within his domain had always been reported to him first.
It had been the same at the eastern border and in the small southeastern village of Vis. Whether he held the rank of commander-in-chief or was merely an ill-tempered schoolteacher, he had always been the one others turned to for help and resolution.

She turned around upon hearing the noise.
He looked up at her, his eyebrows drooping: “My hand… has no strength.”
“Shall I… feed you?” she asked tentatively.
He opened his mouth cheerfully: “Ah—”
Thinking she was drowning, he jumped in without hesitation to save her, but nearly drowned himself. In the end, it was she who swam over to rescue him, giving him air underwater.
After emerging from the water, his ear tips turned red. He lightly brushed his cheek, tucking his sideburns behind his ear, revealing delicate, pink-tinged ear tips. He lowered his gaze, too embarrassed to look at her.
