Thrilled by Madness (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 37
A feather-light weight thudded softly onto Seo Jun’s chest.
Though it was still pre-dawn, Seo Jun’s eyes, now awake, naturally fell upon So Yeon’s tiny hand, which was fidgeting against him. Her adorable little movements lifted his mood immensely. The gentle curve of his lips wasn’t from the ticklish sensation on his chest—but from an inexplicable sense of fulfillment.
Last night, So Yeon had sighed deeply again and again, quietly sipping whiskey.
What on earth could be occupying that little head of hers? She’d been silent, wearing a serious expression.
Perhaps it was from drinking too much. At some point, her nodding head slowly tilted forward. Just before her face hit the table, Seo Jun caught her forehead and, unable to leave her like that, laid her down on the bed and waited for her to sober up.
Yet, whether from exhaustion after running around all day or from crying so hard during their conversation, So Yeon didn’t just fail to wake—she soon fell soundly asleep. And so, what could he do? While waiting for Eom So Yeon to come to her senses, Seo Jun lay beside her for just a moment—and before he knew it, his own eyes had gently closed as well.
Thus, unintentionally sharing a bed, the two sank into a deep, oblivious slumber, tangled together and sharing warmth until morning arrived.
He’d always believed he needed to hold her tightly, completely filling his arms before feeling satisfied.
Yet merely sharing a bed with her now left Seo Jun surprisingly content—because just having her beside him made his ever-chilly heart feel warm.
Being like this felt like he lacked nothing more. It even seemed as if the foreign object lodged in his chest for years, refusing to dislodge, had vanished entirely. But above all, what pleased him most in this moment was that Eom So Yeon truly felt like his woman.
The little bird returning to his embrace.
Though she was already snugly nestled against him, Seo Jun wrapped his arms around her even more securely, showing no intention of letting go.
His composed lips curved once again into a smooth, elongated arc—a smile of quiet acceptance that he simply couldn’t go on without Eom So Yeon anymore.
But something felt off.
Seo Jun sensed a damp patch somewhere on his body. Upon closer inspection, his shoulder—where Eom So Yeon’s cheek rested—was soaked in warm moisture.

Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!

The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.
